Hopefully things will be back to normal by the 27th for magic.
There is a thread about 5 day magic that got back today and no one was allowed off the ship until 2 pm and all excursions were cancelled for amber cove. Some crew tested positive and authorities there didnt want the ship to dock at all.
As far as this excursion. .. the excursion description will say if a ticket is required or the terms.
Ok. We are actually talking about the stingray excursion in Bimini not Amber Cove. I only mentioned amber cove because those are our two ports on this cruise but I have another one that goes to amber cove again after this one and we will do our amber cove excursion then.

The Amber Cove tours are fine. I was talking about the sting ray tour you mentioned. 2 hours and no beach time just is not looking appealing to me. So although I want to get off the ship in Bimini, it's not looking worthwhile to me. I'm going to ask my son if he wants to do it but it's not likely. When we watch YouTube video excursion of stingrays he always say " I don't want to do that. I don't want to touch or be with stingrays". Wish they had a dolphin excursion like Blue lagoon.

I am leaving on the magic on the 27th of this month and I am really struggling with whether to get off the ship and do this tour or just stay on the ship. For the price I would want more time and some beach lounging time. I am leaning more towards staying on the ship with my 4 year old. I'm not getting off in Amber Cove either. So it may be a ship only cruise for us. We have a side to side so on our next leg, we are going to get off in Amber Cove then.

You should definitely complete it and select that you do not have an exemption. When I booked our cruise a few days ago, I completed the vaccination survey after I had already requested the exemption and marked the no vaccine and do not have an exemption. Within two days I received an exemption. I called carnival before in reference to this and the rep stated that you need to mark that answer so that they know that you still need an exemption. So far it has worked for me on both cruise we booked.

Not as of now.

Yes. I'm booked on the Elation in November.

Sounds like gratuities to me.

Will be on the Serenade in December on a Christmas cruise. So excited!

I had this issue as well last night so I changed my payment to a debit card and it went straight through. Not sure what's going on. I finally got a casino offer for the Mardi Gras $100 per person special but could not book it. Oh well l, life goes on. Good luck and I hope you get through. Definitely call the casino for the special rate since they are the only ones that can handle those. They sometime can make exceptions if you call in (speaking from personal experience).

I’ll try to contact a PVP. I’m due a 3500 refund, so I hate to give them anymore of my money to hold.
I don't blame you! I am waiting for two refunds on two different cancellations, and I won't give them another dime until I get my money back. As soon as I get ALL of it, I am booking a super long 14+ day cruise (not on carnival). I prefer luxury on longer cruises.

We booked this deal for the 14 day transatlantic Tampa to Barcelona in April. About $400 each for tips, taxes and port fees. We can't stay home for that. We also sail Saturday on the Horizon 8 day southern Caribbean, this one slightly more $240 each plus taxes and tips but still a great deal. Balconies both times.
I want to go!

Question for those that had the experience......
What were the wait times for those that received refunds on booked CCL cruises?
We know the OP waited 7 months after being told 90 days.
Others gave their experience on other lines.
Was the CCL board melting down when the chaos began in 2020? I was not hanging out here because I didn't have a CCL booked so couldn't tell you the vibe.
Well I can only speak for me and my experience. I had two cruise booked with Royal Caribbean and when they cancelled my cruises, they notified me of the cancellation and I had my money back within 1 or 2 weeks without pause. They were booked at different times and for different years and Royal was very efficient with refunding. Never had to ask nor did I have any unreasonable wait. This is my experience only so I cannot speak for anyone else.

Is that the one that was taken off the ship in Belize? There's an fb posting (screenshot). I was able to come up with a ***** created aug 6 page matching it, but that's as far as I could actually find.
That is the story I saw as well. Terrible!

Let me rephrase. I am booked for 8/14. Got a great deal. Just looking to see what others do to enjoy the freebies on the ship
we will be on the ship the entire time- our toddler can’t get off except for bubble excursions…. And not sure we will book any
I understand that. We have bubble tours booked in amber cove and Nassau but we are staying on in Puerto Rico (for obvious reasons). We are going to explore the ship and have fun on the first port day. I have a 4 year old so we have the same dilemma.

I went ahead and purchased for Mardi Gras 8/14 since it might go down again.
-
Same for the Mardi Gras 8/14 sail.

Do you have a blog or vlog? People may have added you all to their booking so that they can sit with you. You might have some fans out there.

Until they start canceling cruises. Have fun!
They'll do what they have to do. My life will go on. I just don't understand how complaining to a bunch of strangers online is effective. Oh yeah, it's not!

I'm just happy people are cancelling or rescheduling. Should make for a more personalized cruise experience. Thanks carnival for doing what is necessary to keep the people safe!

Great info. We are usually grab and go people, even for dinner, but I thought maybe we’d do a bunch of specialty dinners next week with so many options. Rethinking now. ParoDeeJay posted a decidedly lukewarm review of Chibang today. Not quite getting this Cucina is an extension of YTD, which we have. We like to eat early; if all else fails we’re happy with a Guy’s burger or whatever is at the Marketplace.
I can be fairly patient but I don’t love wasted time.
I saw that a lot of people on this sailing were not impressed with Chibang. Seems like the expectations were high but the actual food was a letdown. I'm going to try it but probably only once because it's free.

I booked through carnival and received an instant email confirmation.
-
No. It is a separate link. Carnival should have sent it you automatically (and they very well may since your cruise is so far away). I think
you can google the form but don't quote me on that. The person oh booked through gave me the link while I was booking so g RH at I could complete is ASAP some extra is sail on 8/14 on to Mardi Gras.

And it has poor reviews. They could have at least offered us a beach bubble tour. That would have been nice.
