.....and here comes the virtue signalers.

I don't understand why people care so much about what the next person chooses to do with their money. I wish I got tipped for doing my job but I don't and I am not complaining. I think people understand the and agree to the pay they'll receive when they sign the contract. If you don't agree with the amount of your base pay, don't sign! Japan has it right!

I purchase the e-cards through AARP. Apparently age doesn’t matter 😂 I had to join for like $12 for but it’s good for a few few years, and then I just purchase the cards as a normal website purchase - no points etc needed.

They had $100-500 denominations and have been emailed the cards in under 5 minutes. But you are limited to 5 cards per month. I haven’t read your whole thread so maybe you have tried AARP before?

Also I think you and family are on the Panorama Tomorrow too?

I did the same thing. So worth it! I now have both Allstate and AARP. Love it! AARP rocks because they do not require points. Allstate is good to have as a backup in case you need more than 5 cards in a month.

Out of curiosity, which ship were you on? I'm curious if kiosks on certain ships reliably allow gift card usage. It could be glitches from kiosk to kiosk, changed settings between kiosks on different ships, or any number of things.

I was on the Magic and then on the horizon.

I'll trust exactly what I can see over random information without documented proof.  $70 for a beach, meals, drinks, pool, and chairs...but you get this? I wouldn't even go if I was paid $100 to visit it.

    PlayaChabata Review

ok, I have pictures and video that I don't have to share with you or anyone else but very well would have had you been a decent human. The experience they had looks terrible but mine was nothing like this. You are a disgusting person and all you had to do was provide the link without the nasty statement. 1 persons review is not every single persons experience. They are in the business or getting clicks and likes so I expect nothing less than the entertainment and dramatics they gave. My pictures, video, and experience are contrary to this. I can agree with the food being poor and I have stated this much. People who haven't been should not have anything to say to someone who has. But then again you are a boozer so I should expect nothing less than what you gave.

Do a google search for Playa Bachata Bubble Tour and you'll see some YouTube videos.  Honestly it doesn't look bad.  The food looks not great but the beach looks nice and the drinks are free flowing.

I don't need a video for playabachata as I have been twice. I was asking him/her to show me the video that they are referencing since they said the video shows that you should not go. Like I said previously, I enjoyed both times that I went on the bubble tour. The staff are friendly, the food is pretty bad, the booze is bottom shelf, and there are lots of waves. Personally none of these were deal breakers for me since I did not go there for the food but rather a nice relaxing beach day at a clean resort. That's exactly what I got. I would go again if I were offered the chance. If I did not have to do a bubble tour I would not go on one at any port. I just want to see the video and what it shows that makes the person feel that it was so bad.

Go look at the video on YT from early October. That video was clear never to visit there.

I'm not sure what video you are referencing. I am speaking from firsthand experience from less than a week ago (approx 4 days ago). They may have had a bad experience and hated it but I can only speaking from MY personal real life experience.

**Do you have a link or something so I can see what video you are referencing?

  7. Playa Bachata is a fairly decent Bubble tour. My 4 year old and I have been twice on bubble tours and we had a blast. It really is a fun time and is what you make of it. The food is terrible but there are plenty of free flowing drinks and pretty good swimming and snorkeling if you bring your own snorkel. I would definitely go again if given the opportunity.

  8. I just got off of a carnival ship yesterday and I had no problem adding my gift card to my sign and sail account using the kiosk. I also had no problem using them to purchase internet and excursions before the cruise. I have found them quite easy to use. Not sure why it's not consistent across the board for everyone but I hope you all get it worked out.

We’re booked on this cruise. I’m also holding a comparable sailing the month prior on the Caribbean Princess. For those curious, the Caribbean Princess is roughly the same price and two days longer from New York but in August.

Thanks for the Princess info. Just looked and put a room on hold. I love princess and the extra days are a bonus.

  10. This happened to me but it happened upon embarkation. Of course princess blamed it on the porters and said that they would repair it although it was not their fault. I left it with guest services and they returned it repaired the next day. They also sent an apology note with some chocolate covered strawberries. All in all It was repaired but I did not like the blaming of the porters and insisting that it was not their fault. Satisfied with the outcome though because they did repair the suitcase.

    Good morning all

My hubby has a combo vaccine of Astra Zeneca and Pfizer.    Carnival says he has to apply for a vaccine exemption but I can’t seem to find how to apply.     I don’t want to book flights until I know he can cruise.

    Thank you

    kim

    Here is the form: Carnival.com/vaccine-exemption-submission

Man I wish I could get these kinds of rates!  I look daily. Maybe I need to quit looking so often.

I'm only at Gold level what level are you guys all at?

I'm only red and I get the best offers. I was offered a balcony on the MG for $100 per person and I have only sailed carnival 2X and not since 2014. I don't gamble but get amazing casino offers. Don't think they have a rhyme or reason for these offers.

How does this work? I saw the earlier thread, but need an abbreviated version of the 162 pages!! How many points are required and is it hard to set up an account? I am not very tech savvy.

The amount of points required depends on the value of the gift card you choose. As for setting it up, some people do have a hard time while others don't. You have to download the app and as someone else said, you can maintain tour account and accumulate points on the website. I would start by downloading the app and going from there.
