The previous cruise was maybe last year I guess but definitely not on this ship. Okay so here are my questions that I really do not expect anyone to be able to answer unless you happen to work on the ship. So I’m typing this because I’m bored. Oh god, I need journeyview 😞 I have $100 OBC and I want to book the Sanctuary half day’s afternoons only for seadays but only the Seaday afternoons where there are no dance classes offering salsa, rumba, bachata, flamenco, Cha Cha, etc. and there are 8 sea day so I want at least 5 afternoons to be booked in the sanctuary but not to disrupt getting my groove on. So which days? which Dinning rooms do I book dinner in to get seated by a window at a table for 1 and not miss the early show and what time? where does the Latin band play salsa & DJ play reaggeton & what time? what nights do the 3 formal nights fall on? Dates? what are the best dates/nights to book Sabatini, Grill, and a third one I forgot for a single girl? Does it make a huge difference to prebook MDR or what? If so what time do I need to book to make it to the show? What other activities during the day that will interfere with sanctuary- ie mixology classes, Spanish gastronomy classes, dancing classes enrichment classes, Spanish tips tricks, life hacks, how to marry a Spaniard in 10 days that I need to know about, when are they happening and how do I sign up?

This is really shocking, disappointing and disturbing on so many levels. How in the hell is one expected to prebook reservations accordingly without knowing what is going on when, where and at what time? Lord have mercy… god 6 pm dinner?!? I guess?!? God knows where?!?! I hate this!!!!

I need specifics related to my sailing in order to make my onboard reservations ahead of time.

When does the daily itinerary of scheduled activities get uploaded to the website or the Princess App in advance of the cruise? My cruise is in 18 days and I still do not see anything under JourneyView Activities Timeline.

Ticketmaster uses this same logic when it comes to selling platinum seats held by promoters as well as offering first dibs to AmEX and Capital One Card holders. They release them in stages and at different price points depending on availability and location. Like you said, there is a very complex booking algorithm that has been developed and fine tuned for the market over a period of time and the price points have adjusted upward to accommodate for it. The backyard boogie method Princess has in place right now is priced accordingly as well. The question is how much would one would be willing to spend to prebook a lounger that is NOT preselected by Princess? And how much would one would be willing to spend to prebook a lounger that IS preselected by Princess? I think I’m good with Sanctuary backyard boogie booking and taking my chances.

I would be shocked if they offered a transatlantic sailing going through the Panama Canal, but maybe they will offer one going to Florida?

I would think the conversion would only take 30-60 days as it wouldn’t required major changes and there would be hardware and decore already ordered and ready for install. The only thing that seems beyond superficial changes would be installing a skyride. And adding hot tubs to the Terrazza and Serenity areas. What I want to know is the Terrazza outdoor area is not going to be exclusive for Terrazza cabins only? Because I’m not interested in sailing on a Vista class ship without the exclusivity offered to Havana staterooms. At the 18:19 mark of the Christina Duffy interview she alludes that these ships will not have exclusive outdoor experience like the Havana areas on other ships

Bingo. Exactly what I was told when I called Princess initially when booking my airfare. I explained to the rep I would be willing to fly economy from Los Angeles to FT Lauderdale for my transatlantic but there was no way in hell I was flying economy from Barcelona back to Los Angeles in economy for a long leg segment or even on a nonstop flight. The rep told me they didn’t have the capability to book economy plus or business class for individual segments. I knew right away I was going to have to book my own airfare then. Booked through my employer and got economy plus on a nonstop from LA to Florida and another economy plus, nonstop from Barcelona back to LA on the return. All in for $1000.00. I probably could have gotten a better price point with EZair but definitely wouldn’t have been economy plus and nonstop flights.

She wasn’t being coercive at all. Her tone was completely neutral and matter of fact.

Ok, so unfortunately this doesn’t look like it’s going to go in our favor folks. I have the 3/9/23 transatlantic to Spain from FT Lauderdale coming up and I purchased the $50 per day plus. I called today and asked if I would still be limited to $12 per drink and was told yes, I would not qualify for the $15 limit. I asked if prices on drinks would be increasing and was told most likely. I asked how long I had to decide if I want to upgrade to the $60 plus plan and was told up to 5 days before sailing. This feels shady for real and I’m disappointed if this plays out the way the rep said.

Scott, I hope you turned lemons 🍋 into lemonade on this special trip. Assuming you had travel insurance, there is no place in the world I would rather be kicked off a cruise ship than Spain 🇪🇸. You’re blessed beyond measure and would gladly trade places with you if I could. It sounds like to me you took a measured risk that was going to be a win win either way.

I honestly think you and I have the same planner. Mine has not returned my phone calls or emails prior to her scheduled vacation time over Thanksgiving holiday. I am so disappointed in the lack of professionalism that I am going to try to get the booking pulled from her. She is my mom’s planner as well and my mom left her a voicemail over Thanksgiving vacation that she has not returned as well. It’s a shame because it’s the first time I ever booked with Princess and I have to say, I will never ever use a Princess planner again. Done. Never have I experienced this with my Carnival PVP or with NCL. BTW my planner’s initials are M.R.

This! Sailed with Carnival 12 times and with the cut backs and additional costs and fees being added to what is offered or used to be included in the cruise fare I decided to switch to Princess. Honestly, besides a Havana Cabana on Vista Class ships I really have no incentive to stay loyal to Carnival anymore. I can’t wait to try something different.

My ex won $100 from that machine. The trick is the claw has to pick up the bundle vertically I believe. The face sides of the bundles are too slippery.

I’m relieved that my cruise on Panorama on 9/3/22 Labor Day week missed the cut off by 3 days! I feel a lot safer. Plus, I live in West Los Angeles where there is literally a plethora of free testing options. I love testing with CVS which allows me to make an appointment 2 weeks in advance through the website.

Well I have to say that I agree with you concerning my mom’s Princess vacation planner that I used. Talk about clueless, but when I called the customer service line to double check what she said because it did sound too good to be true they backed her up 🤦🏻‍♀️ Never again with Princess. If this sailing turns out to be my dream cruise that Im hoping it will be I will not be sailing Carnival anymore and strictly book Princess but yes, I would need a good TA.

Yes, I would want food and drinks delivered to me at the pool deck or the deck above the pool deck or possibly the retreat pool during the day. Possibly delivered to the Sanctuary. So can I order food from the buffet since it will be near by?

Yes, but Mouseberry mentioned how hard it was to get a drink from Good Spirits.
