  1. We leave on our cruise Sunday April 7th, anybody been on the Getaway recently? Wondering if the main dining rooms (Tropicana, Taste, Savor) have two lines one for reservations and one without. Thanks!
  2. Anybody know if it is open on embarkation day, wonder if it might be less busy on the first day before people find out it is included.
  3. Did NCL disappear for everybody? Hopefully they are just reloading
  4. Not that it matters, I already have reservation at 5:30. It really doesn't matter to me, we will see what happens when we get on the ship. I go with the flow.
  5. NCL website is still letting me, maybe I am special 🙂
  6. I wonder if some cruises still allow reservations? On January 22nd, I was able to make reservations for 4 at 5:30 for a 12 day cruise coming up in April. I also see, people saying they don't have two lines, we were on the Epic in January and they had two line one for reservations only. I'm so confused
  7. Total guess, I have no inside information, I was trying to figure out the same thing. I was looking at March cruise. If I remember correctly: In October they went to the end of May (7 months). In January they updated it to the end of August(7 months) If they keep the same pattern: In April they should go to the end of November? In July they should go to the end of Feb? ...
  8. We were just on the EPIC a couple of weeks ago, I don't remember seeing any ramps to the bar area. Looking at the deck plan it looks like they have an ADA lift.
  9. I am guessing no but haven't tried. It says new bookings, but it never hurts to call and ask.
  10. I don't see the discount code, the only place I see it is under Guest Fare under Guest 1, it is 750 less than guest 2.
  11. We have an oceanview room, is this balcony only? First time in an oceanview room, we normally get a balcony. If not I might have to upgrade.
  12. I also added the package, looks like a great deal. I saw this in the fine print, I hope they don't mean new cruise bookings only: 'Offer applies to bookings made March 10, 2023 – March 15, 2023 and applies to select sailings departing March 14, 2023 – December 31, 2023.'
  13. We had a similar issue, we received the flight info early, I think it was around 65 days before the cruise. However they had us flying out of Chicago instead of Harrisburg PA. Simple mistake, no big deal, called them and they said they would fix it in 14 days. Long story short it wasn't fixed in 14 days, it took over 6 weeks and was finally fixed today, we fly on the 24th of March. We kept getting the run around and said it might not be fixed until 3 days before we leave. We called NCL and TA called, I tried again today, called the custom air phone number. I raised a big issue, threatened to file a complaint, etc and two hours later it was fixed. They didn't pick the best flights but at least we have flights.
  14. Number 2 - I would answer maybe, depending on how much I think I would save. First time using NCL air: We flew in the day of the cruise, we were delayed but we made it on the ship. We knew the risk, they booked us on the correct flights and everything worked as expected. We had some delays but we made it, we were flying from Pennsylvania to Miami so flights are pretty straight forward. I am currently using them a 2nd time, I am not sure I would use them again after this experience. We received the flight info early, I think it was around 65 days before the cruise. However they had us flying out of Chicago instead of Harrisburg PA. Simple mistake, no big deal, called them and they said they would fix it in 14 days. Long story short it wasn't fixed in 14 days, it took over 6 weeks and was finally fixed 17 days before we leave. We kept getting the run around and said it might not be fixed until 3 days before we leave. I finally raised it as a big issue, threatened to file a complaint, etc and two hours later it was fixed. Also they didn't pick the best flights but at least we have flights. If everything goes smooth then it is worth the savings, but if something goes wrong they are not the easiest to work with. Not sure the hassle is worth the savings, so depends on how much we save and how complicated the flights are.
  15. They offered other dates but they didn't work for us. I live in the northeast and we were leaving out of NYC, so no airfare was needed. This limited our options. We have another cruise already booked in March.
  16. Update! Called back to today after being told to wait 72 hours and the cruise is sold out. They offered us other dates, but nothing fits our schedule. Now we need to try to get our 2.5 million points back.
  17. I purchased the cruise for 2/1 out of NYC to Bermuda. We called to book the cruise and they are saying we have to wait 72 hours. Has anybody else had to wait 72 hours?
  18. I noticed the same thing the other day, ours changed from December 2023 to December 2025. I didn't receive any notification, not sure when they were changed, but it had to be within the last month or so. We just used them for our next cruise in March 2023.
  19. A little more detail: MDR - we had early seating, staff was great, food and choices were good, I could always find something I liked. In general I think the quality of food has gone down in recent years in MDR, still good just not over the top. Not sure if specialty dining has impacted this or not. We found the Windjammer very crowded, not sure why they didn't open the other half. I honestly didn't eat there much. The 2nd time we went and they were asking people to leave if they were done eating to make more room. Maybe it was just a timing thing. We did one specialty dinner - free comp - we ended up going to Chops. Service was great and food was good. I personally would not pay the price they charge for Chops over the MDR food. Just a personal preference not a criticism.
  20. Nice review! we were also on this cruise. Interesting, at least to me, we didn't care for windjammer and enjoyed the MDR.
  21. We had our first Central Park balcony last week. We normally get an ocean view balcony but the price was right and I will try anything once. We had the double balcony with loungers (12229), so the balcony was great, we enjoyed the music at night and even the music during the day from the Pool area. However, we really missed the ocean view and probably won't get another CP balcony unless it is significantly cheaper and we want to save money. Apparently we are naked in our room a lot more than we realized, we were always closing the drapes. I missed waking up in the morning and being able to step out onto my balcony without worrying what I was wearing (I don't wear pajamas). We also like to watch us arrive at port when arriving early and missed seeing the ocean a lot more than we thought we would. We are ocean view balcony snobs, just not the same feeling for us.
  22. Adding our experience, first time using Uber. We got off the ship around 9am, signed into the Uber app and found a ride available in 10 minutes. We were not going to the Airport, we were going to a hotel on the beach (Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 801 Seabreeze Blvd, Fort Lauderdale). We had checked the price before leaving for vacation and it was estimated at $12 however it was $25 when we requested it. Not a big deal for us but was a little surprised. Once arriving at the hotel, we scheduled a head of time a 4am Uber pickup for a 6am flight the next morning. Again the estimate was $15 but the actual cost was $35, apparently there is a $10 scheduling fee if you do it ahead of time. Again not a big deal, but was surprised. Apparently the bars close at 4am, while waiting for our Uber at 4am we saw two Ubers dropping people obviously coming home from a fun night on the town. So we could have found one easily without scheduling it, we were also told it is never hard to find an Uber in that area.
