I've never had a letter from my daughter's father to take her on a cruise and she's been on 6 so far. We've also taken my step son and never needed a letter from his mother. Then again their parents wouldn't make a fuss over it so I'd definitely check with an attorney.

Excellent review! Thanks so much for taking time to share with us! We sail Conquest Thanksgiving 2019 with our family plus extended family so looking forward to it.

We are staying in 8473 in June so I'll take pics and post when we get back. We stayed in a square room on I believe it was Glory and LOVED it! Felt more spacious.

We sailed Fascination last month and found the ship to wonderful! Staff were all excellent and since it was recently upgraded, we didn't find that it felt old or dingy at all. Very clean and the upgraded cabins were nice and bright. We actually found long lines to be pretty much non-existent every time we went to eat on Lido. Pizza line was the best we've experienced so far as well. The only negative that I personally found was the Serenity area. Definitely small and located in the very back on deck 5 so had to go thru the comedy club to get there. Took me 2 days to figure that out LOL But overall, we loved Fascination.

We sailed last week and it was aweful! Lots of people complaining. We purchased prior to boarding so we could not get a refund. Others who purchased on the ship did. Not sure what changed in a week but our sailing was non existent connections.

Oh wow that’s so crazy! Our sailing didn’t feel like it was full so maybe not many were connected? Who knows. It’s so inconsistent it’s hard to love it or hate it lol

You can also go the the Carnival Player Club page on the other social media page we aren't supposed to mention here and post that you have a seat for sale. I see people do it all the time.

We just sailed her 2 weeks ago and it was pretty good! I purchased the social media package to chat with my kids via Snapchat and it worked great! I would've purchased the premium package but since we only had 1 sea day, we were off the ship more than usual so I was able to call and Facetime them from the ports. Never had any connectivity issues while using the chat feature on Snapchat or Facebook while on board which was great since my youngest got sick the day after we sailed.

Great review! Love the pics and videos, especially the dessert art video! Pretty cool!

Our last 5 cruises have been bounce back offers from the casino and we were given points for all of them so I hope that doesn't change! We never upgrade the room but they aren't necessarily free, but definitely heavily discounted as they all had on board credit so we technically only paid port fees and taxes.

Love your review and pics! The video was hilarious! We sail on Vista in June can't wait!

Literally just got off Fascination and yes they do have self serve laundry and a serenity area. Although the serenity area is much smaller than any other ship I’ve been on and it’s at the very back of the ship on deck 9. You have to walk thru the comedy club to get to it from that deck which took me 2 days to figure out lol no clam shells or hammocks just loungers with cushions and a few umbrellas and 2 hot tubs. I enjoyed it still [emoji4]

Thanks so much for the information.We are sailing on Sunday and haven't been to most of these islands so looking forward to them, even though they are still recovering. You gave some excellent points that will help us in deciding what to do at each. I was really looking forward to lots of snorkeling and plan to bring my gear but I wont get my hopes up too high in case visibility is still not great. Appreciate you sharing!!

I am on her now - boarded today and have walked most of the public areas. The carpets appear new in our balcony stateroom and on most if not all of the ship. The balcony dividers appear new and there appears to be lots of fresh paint. Alchemy bar looks great - and the bartenders advise so far it has been slow. Part of that may be due to the nature of the 5 ports of call. DH had a ringer from Guys and was up to par. DS had pizza and was good as normal. I had Blue iguana shrimp taco salad and it was great.

 

There was a line at customer service but that is to be expected day 1 - and I have seen WAY worse in much larger ships.

 

Looks to me like the did a great job on the update and we continue to like the Fantasy class of ships. I would rather sail with 2000 than 4500 any day.

Yup, I printed our boarding passes and luggage tags the other day and noticed it said Priority as hubby is turning Platinum on our next cruise and was very excited! I didn't realize he was turning Platinum already lol

1) Do we get these cards by mail or at the port before we get on the ship? S&S cards will be in your cabin mailbox in a sealed envelope.

 

2) Do they put your picture on the card? It's not on the card itself, but when they scan it, your pic pops up on their screen. you take the pic when boarding.

 

3) Are we allowed to cap our children's spending on this card, if they are even allowed to use it to charge anything? You set up the charging options under the "Manage my booking" option on the Carnival site.

 

4) If I get the CHEERS program and give my brother the card to go garb a drink, will they pick up on that? He could be just going to get my drink while I lay out in my Speedo. :o I've never bought Cheers but I do know that when they scan your card, your pic shows up so probably wont let him use but like I said I've never bought the package so not 100% sure on that.

 

5) Do you need to show any other ID when using this card? You only need your DL when getting on the ship at ports. Not for anything on the ship.

 

6) Can this card be used while at any of the ports you visit?

We are sailing on 3/18 so I'll definitely come back and let everyone know how it was.

We have booked 2 rooms similar to that.We had our 18 year old daughter and 13 and 9 year old sons in one cabin. It was never an issue at all. I think as long as they are booked with us as in reservations connected, they don't make an issue out of it. We've done this twice so far without incident.

The only thing we can think of is that the advertised pricing for children (12 and under) is in error and perhaps it should read "age 4-12" and "under 4 free", or something like that. If so, that would explain why the one year old cannot be added to the excursion because there is no charge. :confused:

We were on Victory last month right after dry dock and the halls all have a beach theme that I saw. Palm trees and ocean. I didn't take any pics of the halls unfortunately but if you look under the Victory area of CC you'll see a few reviews and I recall seeing pics of the halls and cabins but can't recall who's review it was, sorry!
