  1. I’m back! First let me say that these square cabins are AWESOME!!! I’m going to make it my business to book these from now on. Sooooo spacious and the hall they are in only have cabins on one side of the hall so very little foot traffic. The room itself just felt bigger overall. I took pics and will try to upload them now.

  2. OMG I'm SO happy to read your review as I've read so many poor reviews of this ship. I sailed on her a few years ago prior to them upgrading and had a great time but now that I know it has Guys and Blue Iguana plus Alchemy! Oh boy am I excited! We are bringing in the New Year on her in December and can't wait!!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

  3. Good morning everyone:), so on to Princess Cays, I absolutely love, love, this private island, oh!!! first let me post this, have any of you ever seen the show Married at First Sight? Well, this couple was on the show last season and I ran into them on the Lido deck, they were sweet enough to let me take a picture.

That's so awesome! I love that show and so happy to see they're still together :)

  4. My husband has a casino deal (Casino Play Repeat) under his VIFP giving $50pp cabins with loads of dates to chose from up until the first week of January so we chose a 5 day sailing from Miami on Sensation that leave on 12/28 so we finally get to go on a New Years cruise and the total was only $332.50! Awesome deal! I did see an 8 day on Vista ($225pp) that came to $724.50 leaving on 12/20 which is an even better deal but,our kids go back to school before the end of that sailing so we can't go :( It's ok though, we are VERY happy with the other deal!

  5. They do scan 1 S&S card from each cabin to see who isn't there. Those who do not attend are made to attend one in a different area and watch a video and from what I heard, the video is longer. I felt it made the process quicker as we were not standing around waiting for the crew to count each person with the ticker they used to use.

  6. I'm with most of the others here, GO FOR IT! I'm a strong believer in kid-free vacations at least once a year. DH and I always have 1 or 2 sailings a year without our kids. I love them to pieces (ages 9, 11,14, 19) and I absolutely LOVE cruising with them, but it's exhausting so I truly enjoy our kid-free cruises as well :) I also get 1 girls trip each year which I always look forward to. So go and enjoy every second! And happy birthday!!!

  7. I got a Pack-N-Play - for 10/2 5 nights out of Jax and 10/8 4 nights out of Pt C.

$50 for an inside (even as a solo) with $50 OBC.

And, OF COURSE, I cannot go. :(

I do hope I live another 18 months or so so I can semi-retire and take advantage of last-minute offers like this! ;p

We received the same offer as well and can't make it since we just got back last week from sailing and have another already booked for 11/16.

  8. We had luck back in July with a cabin opening up 5 days prior to sailing. A friend of ours wanted to join us so he paid the deposit to be placed on a waiting list and was told someone would call him if a cabin opened. No one ever called, but I checked the web site every day, sometimes multiple times a day and sure enough, the sailing popped up so I called and grabbed a cabin for him. So, it is possible, but you have to constantly check the site.

  9. We sailed on Splendor this past Spring Break (March 19th-26th) with a group of 13 in total and didn't see many college age adults at all. There were quite a few teens (13-17) all over the ship but they were pretty well behaved. My kids (19, 13 & 9) had a ball! The only drunk and disorderly person we saw was an older man in the casino who was SO plastered he had to be escorted out by security and eventually was made to remain in his cabin until he sobered up lol crazy! but overall, it was a great cruise! We're thinking of taking the kids again this coming Spring Break.

Here's something that, while technically is rule-worthy of formal night, is downright tacky and was seen on a few men during formal night. But, to each their own I guess.

LOL I've actually seen this outfit on a guy on my cruise this past March and thought it was awesome! I actually took a pic with him in the casino too! It's "Florida Formal" lol (I'm from south Florida and so was the guy wearing it ;p)
