Not quite In an upper suite it is actually 4 devices for each and every guest in the suite. So if 4 guests in suite the 16 devices!!!

I would assume it does. The upper suite unlimited dining does also include the Gelato and syshi on Five so I assumed it covered craft social too

my next 5 booked cruises are all out of Southampton on Apex and it doesn't list it 🙁

We often cruise in upper suites and I confess I have got used to having a bottle of gin in the room for a G&T while we dress for dinner. I could always walk down to the retreat or any other bar and grab a couple to take back but on our last few cruises I have got used to having the bottle in the room. I know Celebrity used to offer a paid for bar setup in room with mixers. As we have a long B2B coming up on Apex I thought I would splurge and order a bottle for the room but I can't seem to find it listed anywhere any more.... Has it been discontinued? I was fully expecting it to be $150 or even $200 which I know is extortionate but was prepared . I could only find the option to order from a choice of 3 whites , 2 reds and Veuve Clicquot pre cruise .Veuve Clicquot is £45 in the UK and pre cruise and Celebrity lists it at £95.71 but the spirits seem to have vanished?

This thread is not about drinks packages... It is about X adding an upcharge to drinks in the Retreat Lounge / Michael's. Something that has not happened since the inception of Michael's for suites in 2014. Everything in this space has always been included for all guests entitled to enter. In a upper suite you get a bottle of veuve clicquot in the suite. Can bring that down and have the Bartender keep it behind the bar for me?

In light of Tom's experiences on Summit this week @Jim_Iain can you confirm there are no upcharges in the retreat on Edge at the moment? Is this just another badly thought out cookie gate or is this going to go fleet wide?

To Clarifiy the poster added this to a question I asked to confir it was in the Retreat Lounge "Yes since the recent HUGE price increase in by the glass wine prices the Retreat lounge is now upcharging for the many many popular wines that are above the premium package cap now."

The poster on the other place is a frequent suites cruiser and Zenith and his post does give the impresion that the upcharge relates to Michaels/retreat lounge. Hoping he will confirm if this is fact true or false. If true this is a very worrying change and as others have said does this mean they will get a card reader or till for Michaels and reciepts to sign?

Well definately not Murano...... Too much flare and the food while good is only good for once per cruise as the menu is so fixed, We usually enyoy Sushi or the Porch for a lunch and Tuscan or Lawn club for one or two evenings but with Luminae the menu changes daily. Yet to try Eden and looking forward to it but having cruised in RS and above with unlimited speciality dinning it is nice to go back to Luminae where the menu at least changes every day... I await the flames

When we were off the coast of Ireland in July it went through London, the Shetlands in July it also went through London and in May in the med off the South of France it went through Berlin. I don't think whose waters you are in reflects where it routes through

When we pack we always pack a little bubble wrap, which we then can discard to make space for souvenirs (usually bottles) when we return😉

To make a foam on a cocktail you either need to shake a protien or infuse it with Nitrous oxide .Egg white is the easiest protien source but has a very limited self life. Pasionfruit puree and pineapple juice also contain enough protien to create a foam. A pornstar martini doesn't usually have egg white but gets a slight foam from the puree if given a good dry shake befor the ice hake. To be fair none of the on menu drinks at the martini bar would contain egg white, passionfruit puree, pineapple or use N2O foams so they wouldn't need it for their normal serves. Going off menu at any bar is down to the ingredients they have avaiable Although the new menu at the World class bar does not contain any foam dinks the Spicy Mango tini made by them for Sushi on five has a Spicey Mango ginger foam which does have egg white. To make this you need an iSi type whipper which uses N2O to foam the egg whites. These they definately had at the WCB in July as the bartenders there where making experimental foams and the occasional off book cocktail with egg white. They also had a very good frozen passion fruit puree they were using in a drink one of them was developing for the Diagio World Class competition (Celebritys Santos Mercedes Enriquez won this competition in 2015, and Alexandra Muresan got into the top six 2022) (Virgin Voyages bartender Edgar Pacheco, from Cancun, Mexico, was crowned the Diageo World Class Cruise Bartender of the Year on May 31 during the final stage of the cruise competition in Diageo’s Miami office. Pacheco competed against five other contenders from four cruise lines: Santos Mercedes (who won the title in 2015) and Alexandra Muresan from Celebrity Cruises; Patricio Salles from Princess; Gerlie Arbolente from Norwegian and Danny Judge, also from Virgin.)

it does however say the announcement will be made on Apex.... "The announcement will be made today on board the Celebrity Apex which was docked in Belfast." ...so it seems likely to effect Celebrity in some way

Intreaging 🤔 I had a look and your're right the sailing leaving today shows huevos ranchero for breakfast tommorow and the old boulud dishes. I tried Relection it shows the sausage and huevos ranchero free breakfast and some of the new lunch and dinner itemsbut the old boulud too. Silhouette seemes to be all new. prehaps they are using up old stock first?

Hi Jim I'm keenly looking forward to your comparison. We too have considered a change of scene due to the price hikes and apparent drop in quality. I also like Iain apparently snore so we too like the sound barrier of a door in CSs and above The creeping prices have promoted us to consider trying elsewhere but as we are only 5 or 6 cruises shy of Z we hope to get that first😎 Looking forward to another excellent and informative live

@DaKahuna I totally agree Some of the best off menu drinks I've had on board have been from the World Class Bar, not that I dislike those on the menu their menu, but if there is a good barman who knows how to make a drink then some of my favourotes I have had there are a Paper Plane, a Boulivardier, a Corpse Reviver No 2, a Division Bell to name but a few. They don't always have the right ingredients but can often find them at other bars given time. They'll often have their own infusions and syrups too More fun is when one of the bartenders makes something off book and their own creation. These are a few of my favourites...
