Thanks for the heads up @seasickgirl. Just sent an email to our TA to see if this sale is applicable to our Jan 2021 bookings and, if so, what are the exact details. Worst case is, we get 10% off our 2 cruises and if they get cancelled, we get 125% FCCs to put on our future Princess cruises we already have booked. Really don't see a downside as we were already planning to pay for them before the FPDD.

Let me know what you hear from your TA. We also have a Jan 2021 cruise booked.

  3. Can any one tell me when you book this casino offer can you use your future cruise credit and if so do you receive the extra OBC? Based on the email we received the $200 deposit required is returned to you as OBC when you board the ship however when you book this cruise you must pay in full now for this offer no matter how far out your cruise is scheduled.

Also, how about the Military and Stockholders OBC?

    Any advise is appreciated.

    Many thanks.

We agree with your comments about the theater and the chair situation. Rock Opera needs 45-60 minutes ahead to secure a good seat, 5 Skies 45 minutes, the excellent magician who is very funny (Michael Misko) 30 minutes.  I agree that Princess needs to add an extra showing for the big numbers, or at least stream them live into the staterooms. If you go early to get a seat, bring a book to read.

We never were able to see any 9pm events at Princess Live or the piazza because there were no seats. Thank good ness the rooms had good movies.

Pool chair situation remains really sad.

As for other entertainment, I do not think watching people learn ballroom and line dancing qualifies as "entertainment", but every day the piazza seats were packed with folks watching. There was constant Bingo. I do not count going to EFFY every day for raffles as entertainment, but that is a huge promotion.

The shopping advice event got a big crowd, but only gave out 2-3 "freebies". Last year on Caribbean Princess they handed out at least 30 gifts.

We were also on the Sky Feb 15-22. The cabins are beautiful. Service was good thru out the ship. The ship is nice but lacking when it comes to entertainment and food. I agree no place to seat unless you were there an hour in advance. Then the entertainment was average to below average. The food was ok but seem to be lukewarm no matter where we dined. The casino was small and smokey. No variety in slot machines - alot of the same kind. Very crowded!!! The casino is designed poorly. The bar staff has to carry ice and supplies thru the slot machines and chairs to the bar.

We have been on 20 plus Princess cruises. Based on our experience we will avoid booking another cruise on the Sky in the future. We do not feel the ship was at the Princess standard.

  5. Thanks for the wonderful post. We are taking the Mexican Riviera--Cabo, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta...October 24 out of Los Angeles (San Pedro).

It has been over 25 years since we have taken a Mexican cruise. Any advise you can give us on tours, things to do, etc would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks.

Just went through the motions with super shuttle. It was giving me $36 each way. With tax and tip is little over $80 roundtrip. 😲

    This was just posted.

It’s the end of an era for travelers at LAX as industry veteran SuperShuttle has informed franchisees they will shut down their Los Angeles operations effective January 1, 2020.

  7. Received an invitation to sail on the Nov 2019 Ultimate VIP cruise. I am interested in finding out more on how the prizes are received. We have been on a VIP cruise - had a great time. The only difference appears in the $ value of the prizes.

     Any information would be helpful.

I have read that she has shown up for a few days on some cruises. I have not heard of any "President's" cruise. It would probably be good if she did take a cruise a few times a year to see first hand what passengers are doing and thinking, and to see first hand what is working and what is not.

Yes. Jan was on the CB last year. She was blending in with the passengers. She was friendly was willing to talk with me. I invited her to our M&G. She had a meeting with the captain and was unable to attend however she had a staff member come. It was wonderful to have someone from her staff to share information and answer questions.
