It is true.
That is what outlet malls are.
But stick with the beach area.
Out at that mall there is nothing else, except the Panthers arena.
-
I have no idea why tourist like SMM.
Most stores are full of seconds, irregulars and close outs.
Stay near the beach and go to the Galleria.
Much more elegant.
Puls you will receive real customer service, Macys.

I used to stay there on weekday nights using her casino points, due to my neighbor plunging her brains out there.
Now they have become difficult to give out free bees.

Just be warned, the place hops on weekends, weekdays really dead outside the casino.
Its not Vegas, but you will pay resort prices.

If you like antiquing, you are in the middle of it all.
Plus , if you want to plung your brains out, Dania Jai Alai Casino is a 1/2 mile away.
The area is no worse than Down town Fort Lauderdale.

uneaten food tray is in front of.

My $.02.
Be there at the 30 minute time as stated.
Wait on line with the mob.
Get there earlier, smaller mob.
Get there five minutes prior to sailing time, walk right on, but you might
get the stink eye from the crew.
-
There are parking meters everywhere.
But you have to get there early to get one or have good timing when a person is leaving.
There are public lots away from the residential areas.
Those have a master meter, (pay then put the ticket on the dashboard).
-
Aventura Mall is 10 miles to the south on U.S. 1, much nicer than sawgrass.
-
Don't be hating, I spent a week in Archer, Fl. The temp was in the 30's every day until afternoon, when it was in the 40's.
Banking in Miami, more like money laundering.
Any one over 40 knows what I mean.

-
For NYE if you don't have plans, the Hard Rock Hollywood Casino

Just three miles west of the BW on Stirling Rd.

Healthcare is everywhere, not really an industry, a necessity.
Living in Melbourne is nothing like Tallahassee, Gainesville, Ocala etc.
The tech industry is tiny in Fl.
Most come here for some tax benefits, then leave for other taxpayer funded
incentive states.
Industries are defined as a productive enterprise.
Also condos have a maintenance fee.
Usually higher amount than the mortgage.

Going to retire and get a job?
Construction, agriculture and tourism(service) are Florida's only industries.
Every where south of Orlando is 60 minutes from golf and the beach.
Everywhere north of Orlando the winters are the same as Kentucky, without the snow.
Real Estate prices are around twice the price of Kentucky. (just a guess)
-
When its raining, surge pricing happens.
Just take a taxi.
