  1. I have had very good luck just sending messages through Twitter. Very responsive and helpful.
  2. I have sailed on both these ships and done both these itineraries. I love the Eclipse but I would choose the Millennium. I did a Transpacific on her in the fall of 2019, post-revolutionized and she is in amazing shape. They did a great job. The itinerary is nicer too. If you go to Skagway make sure and do the White Pass Rail excursion.
  3. We were on the Beyond in June and went to Eden. One of the best specialty restaurants we've experienced at sea. I think Le Petit Chef is just okay. Definitely a one and done.
  4. I would suggest taking a seaplane from Victoria Harbour to downtown Vancouver. Fast and a beautiful flight. And I would send RCL the bill. https://harbourair.com/promos/flights-between-downtown-vancouver-and-victoria/
  5. Have you tried searching for 3 in a cabin rather than 2? That may show more availability. A recent cruise I booked showed a lot of unavailable cabins until I changed it to 3 in a cabin.
  6. I wanted a deluxe premium (aft) balcony for an upcoming cruise and they were impossible to book for 2 unless I booked a guarantee. But I wanted a specific cabin. My TA tried as well and no luck. So I spoke with someone on chat yesterday. She told me to book it as a guarantee and then once I had done so, to get back to them and they would assign the cabin I wanted assuming it was available. I went ahead with the booking, got right back to them and they issued the cabin I wanted in the first place. So it can be done.
  7. That happened to me last night. I think the problem was I didn’t realize I’d had the page open for a while and had been logged out. I logged back in and was able to make payment no problem.
  8. Crab cake for appey, lobster for main. Delicious 😋
  9. We had a fabulous meal at Eden. Highly recommend.
  10. @verizonI would echo this. We arrived in Barcelona the end of May for a Beyond sailing. From the time we exited the plane until the time we met our driver, was over 1.5 hours. We couldn't even see the end of the customs line.
  11. They emailed us several days after our cruise. I called to give them credit card details and money was refunded back to credit card in less than a week. This was on the Beyond. I know someone else who was on the cruise in same situation and their experience with refund was about the same as ours.
  12. The add-on price for a refundable deposit on Japan transpacifics is usually low compared to other itineraries, like in the $300 or so range for a balcony. I checked today and it's almost $1,700!!! I hope it's a glitch in the system.
  13. We were in quarantine on the Beyond in June. I asked a couple of times how things would work because we weren't really provided with anything on paper (apart from our medical records and letter of recovery). They assured me they would look after everything at their end. About 5 days after we disembarked I received an email from Celebrity asking me to call with my credit card details for refund. I phoned once we were back home, and the refund showed up on my credit card in less than a week. It was actually more than I expected and higher than a strictly per diem rate. So no idea how they worked it out.
  14. Considering the paperwork and cost of missed night on cruise, it would be cheaper to fly from Athens to Mykonos. We've done that before. It's a cheap, quick flight.
  15. I am, thank you. Hope you both have a full recovery too. As you know, it's not much fun seeing all the ports you were supposed to get off and enjoy, but we were well taken care of.
  16. My husband and I were both quarantined on the Beyond June 4th sailing and carried on into the next sailing as well since I was still positive. We never actually got anything in writing outlining what would happen although I was assured by the fellow who was looking after us that everything would be taken care of at their end and I didn't have to worry about it. A couple of days after I got my two negatives they provided us both with our letters of recovery and positive/negative test documentation and then a couple days later we got off in Athens. I was contacted by the Celebrity engagement team about 4-5 days after that asking for my credit card details. I got back to them and within 5 days the money was refunded back on my credit card. So things went pretty smoothly for us. Hope you have the same experience too!
  17. Maybe it also had to do with how many people were in quarantine on your ship or passenger numbers too? There were only 1,300 passengers on our sailing so lots of empty cabins. They basically kept us in our original cabin category.
  18. We had an aft SV. My husband tested + and I could either stay with him or move. I opted to move and they moved me down the hall to an infinite balcony. I tested + the next day so moved back with him. We couldn't get off in Rome because I was still + and of course our SV was already booked. So then they moved us up to a 12 deck concierge class balcony. So no complaints.
  19. My husband and I were in quarantine on the Beyond. We got home just last weekend and I called them on Sunday. After being on hold for 75 minutes the call dropped 😞 Urgh.... I sent an email asking someone to contact me and about 1.5 hours later someone called me back. I gave them my credit card info and I see today that the money has been refunded onto my credit card. So five days total. I also thought it was per day in quarantine but I have much more back than expected. No idea how they do it.
  20. Yes, it was definitely nice to have that cabin! However, we couldn't get off in Rome so had to move at that point to an infinite balcony. So I got the chance to experience both an SV and an infinite on the Beyond. It sucked being quarantined but they couldn't have done more for us. We were very well looked after 🙂
  21. You're welcome and fingers crossed for all of you!
  22. Yes, we provided our own kits. I booked an appointment, my husband booked his for the next time slot. But when they come on, they will see that you're both booked and do you both at the same time. So no, you don't have to wait for results from first person before doing next.
  23. I can't comment about that particular company but we have used Azova twice now for proctored tests including one for a Celebrity cruise. They are easy to deal with and have appointments available 24/7. They did my husband and I at the same time so I'm sure would be able to do your group all at once too. I believe they are an American company but we were able to use tests provided by our provincial government in Canada. https://azova.com/
  24. We were on Beyond earlier this month on an 8 deck SV. It was heavenly. There was already a lounger sitting on the balcony waiting for me when we arrived. It was very much appreciated when we ended up quarantining with Covid 😉
