So, catamaran sail⛵️ Today the weather cooperated😁🥳😎 The crew on this catamaran was on 🔥🔥 Dancing, music and party vibes🥳🥳🥳 We went snorkelling 🤿 in Shitten Bay. Flat water and no currant. So a good location for beginners or those not to safe in the water. The selection of 🐠 🐡🐟 was not bad, but definitely not on our top 10 list. Very clear visibility. The gear they provided was okay, but on the lower price range for those that dive or snorkel more. So bring your own if you want the good mask and snorkel. (The gear provided in St Croix/Buck Island was very good) After 45 minutes in the water, it was time for lunch and to open the bar. 🍹🍹🍹 It was a buffet of salsa, nachos, banana pound cake, salad, curry chicken chickpeas and pita bread. Very tasty and lots of food. The bar had beers 🍻, Rom punch, water and sodas. We continued our sailing over to Nevis. On our way it was blowing a bit and a local shower ☔️☔️☔️decided to drizzle a bit. It’s a 30.min sailing from the snorkel site to Nevis. We were dropped off at Pinney’s Beach. There are sun lounges available. (It’s included) The crew set up a bar on the beach and you have free access to drinks. We had 1 hour on the beach before it was time to sail back to the port. We went for a walk on the beach and Mr took a swim. On the way back, the spirit of jolly happy sailors reached a max point🤪🤣😜🤩🙌🏻🍹🍹🍹 ( that punch is high on something😜) It’s times like this I feel 100 years old😝 Mr was a happy camper and so was the rest of the gang🤣🥳🕺🏻💃🏻🕺🏻💃🏻🕺🏻 After returning to port, we decided to go onboard. (Mr needs to cool off😜🔥) We stopped by Al Bacio for some coffee and dessert for Mr🍰🍰🍰 ( the cake monster was hungry) Today’s canapés had arrived. Video of today’s snorkel 🤿 will arrive later🎞️

Today’s activity is Catamaran Fan-Ta-sea to Nevis with snorkel 🤿 Fingers crossed for snorkelling 😇 and that Nemo & friend’s are happy for visitors🐢🐡🐠🐟🐠🐡🐢 Meeting time 08.30 in the theatre. Breakfast was Mr choice… (you know…. That 🦴 you need to give out now and then😝) Ocean view🤪🤪🤪 I’m not a buffet hunter😝 I really don’t enjoy this. Not my cup of tea😅 We arrived before it was not packed🥹😇

Today’s program

Sail away was delayed. All onboard was 17.30. Departure 18.00. At 18.40 we still had ropes attached to the pier and no announcement was made. Tonight’s show is Craig A Meyer, Elton John tribute. We have seen him on previous cruises. It’s easy entertainment and Sir Elton has a great collection of hits in his catalog🤩🎶🎶 So hopefully tonight’s performance is on 🔥. IMG_5979.MOV Oh lala😅🙌🏻🎶🔥 It was on fire 🔥 Really good mood in the theatre and happy guests🥰🎶🙌🏻 Absolutely perfect for this cruise🤩 In grand foyer after the Elton show, Tommy saxophone from last nigh. Had a miniature show. He played from he’s catalog of songs and popular music. He’s a great sax player and it was lots of people gathered to listen to him. 🎶🎶🎶 Again, the officers was all-over the place. Dinner tonight was: Seafood salad Flounder Ice cream Arugula salad Blackberry cake After dinner we had a stop in passport for a cosmo and listen to the live music. 🎶🎶🎶 Before we went to bed 10.30 (you see? We don’t run down the night club😜🤣😝)

Today’s canapés was the green peas edition…. (I wish they could have more rotation on the plate) or just a good fruit plate. After some downtime on the balcony and a shower. It was time to get back on track for new things….. Mixology & Music, a captain’s club event in Sky lounge at 17.15. we have been to St Croix before, then we parked on anchor and had tenders to Christiansted. So much easier for tours and snorkelling. Personally I’m not a fan of the van to port, then boat. And same on return…. (I must admit, I didn’t check before departure and it didn’t tell in the description online when I booked) Since we docked/anchored up in Christiansted last visit, I didn’t even think about it…. We had a good day overall🙃 but next time I will check if it’s a longer van ride🤓 the current is strong, so this is not a good place for snorkelling if you’re not a strong swimmer or are new to snorkelling. its never good to hit the reefs🫥 very sorry to hear that you really “hit the jackpot” for unpleasant problems that can happen after a reef collision❤️

So…. What a day😜 Breakfast arrived in the late side of the time we wanted. But we got food and we were ready on time. (We have this beautiful balcony but a tiny table outside…🤪😝🙈 The furniture shoppers are definitely not a balcony breakfast eater😜) Our tour was not cancelled before departure. In the horizon we could see some clouds… (you know the type you don’t like…🫣) But off we went on a catamaran⛵️ Captain announced that we will go for snorkel 🤿 and later a beach hog. Bar (rum punch) will be served after the snorkelling🍹🍹🍹 Well, guess what😝 It started to rain ☔️ so snorkelling was cancelled and the bar opened asap🤪🤪 So it became a perfect booze cruise🍹 Cheers 🍻 We turned around and went for a beach hog in another area. The sun was out again and people was jolly happy 😜🍹 At noon, was a good group of happy folks delivered back on the pier. We went for a walk in the city centre before we went back onboard. Just go by the flow🤪🤪😎☔️ you can’t do anything about the weather. So make the best of it🙌🏻👍🏻 Mr was happy for a rum punch or two🍹 And we had a lovely swim in the ocean. The beach they anchored up on today, was the same beach we went to last visit. So okay😎 We will attend the mixologist session for captain’s club later today.

Tonight’s show is Tommy Proulx, saxophonist. He had a show on our eclipse cruise to Alaska. Great show then, so hopefully it’s not the same material👍🏻 Tommy played the same set as earlier. Still a great show/live music by him and the Sil orchestra. Live music is all around the ship👍🏻🙌🏻🥰 Tonight’s dinner was: Pork chop Apple Pear salad (sorry🙈 I was hungry) Chicken terrine Seafood pasta (mmmmm😋) Ice cream Then off to bed😴

I can understand why they cancel from time to time. The current is strong and if it’s to much wind and higher swells, it’s a safety problem. Specially, since they have no clue about who’s joining the tour. We had a great time😊 Very clear water and a good gathering of fishes🐠🐠🐠 We will enjoy us to the MAX….❤️🙌🏻❤️

Did we find Nemo? Not Nemo, but he’s friends🐡🐠🐢🦀 We met on the pier 10.30 and was taken in a van to Christiansted for boat. We were in Christiansted 11.25 and our snorkel boat was ready for us at 11.30. It’s a 40.min tour out to Buck Island. It’s a reef you snorkel 🤿 around. It was a bit wavy and a strong currant. Not a problem for us, but if this was your first try on snorkel, it wasn’t a perfect start. There were lots of fish 🐠 and clear water. So we are happy🐠🐡🐢🐟 After the snorkel session, around 45.min in the water. We moved our location to an anchor up on Buck island. We had around 20.min on the island before it was time to go back to Christiansted. On the trip back, they served rum punch🍹🍹🍹🍹 Mr was a happy camper😎 (🍍🍍 in the juice… double drinks for him😜) Our van dropped us off at the pier 15.15. So perfect for all onboard time 15.30😎 We saw turtles 🐢 on the pier and from our balcony this morning and on return. Today’s canapés was waiting for us. So it was shower time and Mimosa on the balcony for sail away and relaxing🥰 Movie from snorkelling is on the way🎞️

St Croix, U.S.V.I Today we are going on a snorkel 🤿 tour. It’s Buck Island Beach & Snorkel. Tour meeting is 10.15 on the pier. Breakfast is Tuscan, Mr has a love 💕 for those mini 🥯…. Bagels Coffee on the balcony is never wrong🤩 I can’t get over how much bigger this balcony is😍 Love this🥰 (it’s the first time we have a balcony on the bends) Al Bacio is smiling and greeting everyone welcome😊 I really appreciate a smile and good coffee❤️ And coffee has been excellent. Great job👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Today’s program

Captain’s club event was packed. Long line of officers wishing everyone welcome👍🏻⚓️🎶 Drinks and Canapé was served. ( found out why Al Bacio didn’t have lemon tarts😅 they served it as dessert in the Canapé selection🍋🍋🍋 unfortunately they were out before it arrived at our location;) But they had chocolate covered strawberries 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓❤️ 9 zeniths onboard. All over 3000 points. First tour to Sky lounge this cruise. My favourite place❤️⚓️ Tonight’s show is stand-up. Tom McTigue. Fun for Mr, for me a bit hmm…. Have seen better… For dinner tonight we had: Chop chop salad Onion soup Shrimp cocktail Steak Dianne Gnocchi Ice cream Custard fruit Tonight’s dessert menu is the “epi-pen” day for me….. (remember from earlier? 🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍 im allergic to pineapple) So todays desserts are all about pineapple🤪🤪🤪🤪 So the safest is ice cream❤️👍🏻 Dinner was dinner…. I don’t want to say something about it tonight. What I will say, is that I don’t like to be the angry person, that person that complains loudly or makes it harder for people. I am a YES person, really good for people when you need a service or a cake delivered for your party🙈 ( I know, working on it to say more NO….) I have worked in the service industry my self. I have had people yelling at me because of cancellations due to technical issues on aircraft’s, overbooked flights, weather conditions/ freezing rain/ice, lost luggage and denied upgrade. So I really hate to put on my “angry” “not very happy” 🎩 hat. The zone leader has been running by every evening to ask if everything is good. Standing in the mid table and addressing the question to all 3-tables…. This is how to avoid an answer you don’t want to get a reply back on…. Food tasted excellent👍🏻 Kitchen is really on the deal for this cruise🙌🏻❤️ After dinner it was time for bed😴

Today’s breakfast was in Tuscan. Mr wanted mini bagels😅 and cheese 🧀 We attended the sail in on the helipad. The view in to San Juan is beautiful. Passing the fortress and the old town. I never get tired of this sail in/out. We docked 11.00. So at 11.30 we decided that it was time to walk off. Today’s plan is a walk in the old city and enjoy the view from the fortress. (Need to log some steps;) And for Mr, the most important….. a visit to La Taberna Lupulo🍺🍺🍺 So off we walked, back and forth in the old town to have a look. Out to the fortress, up and down all the stairs in the fortress and then to La Taberna😎😅🍺 I think Mr was very happy for this🤪🍺😎 After the beer break, it was time to head back to Sil⚓️ We arrived back around 15.30, so perfect timing for some coffee and a cake in Al Bacio☕️🍰 I was hoping for Lemon Tarts🍋 but sadly not today🙃 So we tried the blueberry 🫐 cake. (And Mr had to try the red velvet❤️ he is a cake monster) It was okay, decent sized for a fika☕️ (hands up for lemon 🍋 tart💛) After our (mr’s) cake bonanza, it was time to start the evening process…. Captain’s club party starts at 17.15, so we need to be ready for the evening earlier then normal 🙃 Today’s canapés had arrived.

I’m sorry. I don’t know the name. But the circle is the location. It’s a nice bay. It’s a small bar for drinks and you can go horse riding.

Yes, we walked. It’s around 10-15.min walk to the ship from pink street and umbrella street. At the pier, on arrival and return, they have tuktuk’s. They are for free and will take you in to the shopping complex and tour pick up point. So you don’t have to walk the pier length. At the port complex they have shopping, lazy river baths, pools etc. So if you just want to have fun of the ship, you can spend the day here….

After a full scrub we needed to eat something….kinda hungry after a day out😅 (before I was able to take a photo AND say cake…. Mr had eaten today’s delivery) It was the green pea mash, bread, tomato feta salad and 2 dice of cake. It was too long to wait until dinner. So we took a tour to ocean view for a small bite. Mr had some afternoon tea sandwiches and scones. I went for salad. The sandwiches was very good 👍🏻 We had started our departure from the Dominican Republic. So we walk up to sunset bar to have a glass of rose, enjoy the sail out and listen to the live music🎶🎶 You have a beautiful view of the fortress during sail in/out. Around 18 it was time to walk downstairs to change for dinner and count items for laundry…… all that dusty clothing needed to be washed🙈 Tonight’s show is illusionist / magician Matthew Mcgurk. It was a good show and he will be back later;) Again, officers and captain is very visible tonight. Live music 🎶 in all locations Dinner tonight was at our “assigned” 216 table on deck 3. Todays menu is the weakest for my taste. But Mr find’s it attractive. Didn’t we get the memo? Or have we just got to old? What is going on in mdr tonight? People in Shorts, sweatpants, clothes you wear on pool deck? Seriously, what happened🤷‍♂️ I don’t demand a full smoking and bow. Tonight they must closed their eyes🤦‍♀️ Well, back to dinner. The food is excellent. Neighbours not. The French table can’t speak English and on the other side, our eminent neighbours do their things on the phone and playing pirate, using the bread sticks….. So really a great time🤣🤣🤣 Our service team is delivering good service. I feel bad for them. They do a excellent job. And it’s not their fault that the hostess “parked” us in a bad combo of location and neighbours . For dinner we had: Seafood chowder Mizuna salad Coq au vin Schnitzel Ice cream Blueberry apple Turnover After dinner, we’re we ready for bed…..( you see🙃 We are not up all night😂)

Oh ha…. We are back from our excursion and walking trip in the city centre. We had a excellent time and Mr was very happy to have 800cc of power under his seat😁😂🤪🏎️ I can just start to say: there will be dust😝 We picked up our shore excursion number in the theatre at 09.10 and was told to walk outside on pier for pickup. Our guide was waiting at the end of the pier. All people was on time. Our drive to the starting point of the tour took around 20.mins. We passed Dorado Beach and the Neptun statue. Our bus was an open truck, so it gave a teaser of what to expect… On arrival you could shop bandanna and waterproof phone cover and sunglasses. They said that you will be dusty and possibly muddy. Then it was time to buckle up and drive. We had 2 stops on our tour. A local family house, selling local souvenirs and a coffee tasting. Our next stop was at beach. We drove around 3h on different terrain. Mr was very happy😁 ( I said he could drive…. Happy wife, happy life? He needs a 🦴now and then 😝) Fun day if you want a little action. You do get dusty and potentially muddy. We used medical face masks. (Your lungs will thank you🙏🏻) And sunglasses that cover around is very welcome. When we arrived back, we decided that it was better to go into town as we were…. We were dropped off at 13.45. And all onboard is 16.30. (I’m not a “Barbie” I can be seen in dust) We took walk in the city, went to the church and Mr wanted a 🍺 beer. Umbrella street is nice🌂🌂🌂 But my favourite is pink street💓💓💓 We stopped by a souvenir store to buy a beer and a sprite. The cashier was smiling and laughed when she looked at us😂😂😂 Overall a great day on adventure and the tour worked out great😎 Now it’s time to shower off all that dust and deliver a bag to laundry😆🩳👚 I will upload a video from our excursion later🎞️

Today are we docking at 09.00 in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic We have a shore excursion booked via X. Time for some action! Our tour is Off-road Dominican adventure Polaris PZR. Meeting time 09.15. Mr wanted breakfast in Tuscan. So I can’t say no to his request😘 So off we will go at 08.00. Al Bacio was smiling and friendly at 06.30.
