after dinner, we needed to drown our sorrows… The live band was on I grand foyer, so we decided on a cosmopolitan in passport bar. I have to say, live music is really on par on this cruise. Lots of live music and in all locations. So happy for this🥰

At 16.00 it was time to walk down to our cabin. Canapés had arrived. No stress is the deal. So it was time for a shower and a little Power Nap before show & dinner. Tonight is evening chic. So it’s captain’s welcome party in grand foyer at 20.00. So time to dress up and have fun🥳 Tonight’s show is Cosmopolitan. It’s a production show. So it’s exciting to hear and see what the cast of Silly has to offer🎶🎶 Captain had a senior officer presentation before the show. Oohhh, something was not on track for tonight’s show😬 So after the presentation it was a few minutes waiting… Tonight’s show was technically very good. The acrobatic part was great. Singers was good. But it’s lacking in the thread of the show. So not the preforming. Just a bit boring. After the show and before dinner it was officers meeting in the grand foyer. I have never on any cruises seen so many officers “scared out”😅 nice touch to see the entire line😇 At 20.20 we decided it was time for dinner… we have select dining. So we checked in and hostess decided that we arrived at the same time as yesterday…. So we will move you to fixed seating 20.30 downstairs. Okey, we always goes to dinner around 20.15-20.45 ish… so we will survive. Well, we are now assigned to a table for 2 downstairs. Waiters and Somalier is okay. Vincent Somalier did an excellent job. I Kadek & Kheshav is probably okay , but we will test them a bit more. Before we will say yes or good. But we are neighbours to a French couple that doesn’t speak English… and a us couple that are probably my age, but they are definitely on spring break. And they found it perfectly fine to watch tv on their phone loudly during dinner🙄🫡🫥 And we are seated strangely due to a pole. So if the other guests lean’s back, his in our dinner plate… So really not impressed by the hostess choice of table😔 We are really not happy or impressed by this decision of her. For dinner tonight we had: Corn soup Salad Shrimp pasta Lamb Ice cream Strawberry soup panna cotta

Very happy you liked Norway on AZ. Captain Johannes is perfect on a Norway cruise🇳🇴 AZ has often very good sailings in Norway. What I mean in “underdog” is that we are never in majority in guest country. And when it comes to MoveUp, the US market has the offer sendt out several weeks before the Nordic market, if it’s offered. For this b2b, we were not offered at all. But we know us guests received it several weeks before the sailing from the roll call. When it’s days you celebrate in US/UK/ national days etc. They will make some sort of celebration. Either by decor on the ship, in the buffets, notice in the cruise compass etc. This doesn’t apply to Scandinavian national days, even when we sailed in Scandinavia on the national day. And it was over 200 Norwegian guests onboard. I don’t expect bell’s & whistles in big numbers. But it would be nice if they did something, since we were there… Guests from the Nordic has not been able to participate in PowerUp points. So when other guests had the chance of making more captain’s club points. We can’t participate. The Easter competition they have going on now, are not for guests from the Nordic. I will not be angry or upset, it’s just how it is😎 Happy Cruising⚓️🌴⚓️

For us, the time is not a big problem. We always eat late. So normally we go to dinner around 20.30-21. But I do understand those eating early. It’s a conflict. When they have the event in the evening, it will be a conflict for someone…. It’s hard to please everyone🙄 I think Mr is tempted to try the Mixology event…🍹 So we will probably attend😝 Crew is very friendly and nothing to complain about🥰 So we are up to a great start😇

Today’s breakfast was Captain’s Club in Tuscan. We were greeted by CC hostess Alejandra (my Mexican name sister;) We had a lovely table by the window. I really like this view🤩 Extremely happy for table service🥰🥰 Friendly crew and good atmosphere. Cc breakfast menu: We went for the sharing plate. It’s something for everyone…. Mr had a Bellini to kick off the day😝 I kept to OJ😂😂 (08.00 it’s too early for me🤪 I know…. It’s always 5’o clock somewhere….) CC hostess was walking from table to table to have a small chat, checking in that everything was all good. And to remind everyone that wine tasting takes place today at 11.00😅 Mr wanted to take part in the CC wine tasting. So Mr went to wine tasting and Norwaylady took a walk on deck. Chair hogs were out and about😝 One thing I dislike is the retreat deck… I can’t walk my full route and have all the stairs. But walking track and Sunset route is okay. The fun thing about walking around, is that I can have a look of my fellow passengers… what are they reading and are there any Norwegian books😁 I detected 4 Norwegian readers on deck. So that means we are at least 6 Norwegians onboard🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴 After walking for 1,5h Mr arrived on deck. He was on the hunt of me and some water. His plan further today was to attend the beyond the podium at noon. So I rehydrated by him before he went off to the speaker and I went to change to swimming clothes and just taking it easy on deck. Mr has just arrived back from beyond the podium. It wasn’t bad or good was his answer… He enjoyed Milos on Eclipse more. For the first time of all our cruises, I do have a special request. Not like a specific table or something “typical”. So I dropped of the request in an envelope at the concierge/CC on my way to the walk outside. Fingers crossed they will accept it🙏🏻

Rise & Shine 😎 Mr is sleeping and I’m early bird…. 05.30😅 WiFi is very functional, so no problems reading and downloading the newspaper in bed🤓 Perfect 👍🏻 At 7.00 it was time for coffee. So I went downstairs to collect it from Al Bacio. ???? Where’s everyone? Empty, no line and 3 smiles from the crew😁😁😁 Normally it’s packed and lined up… So I ordered to lattes and went upstairs to wake up Mr and enjoy our balcony before we decide what we want for breakfast. (The crew in Al Bacio & I started on perfect track, coffee was perfect;) Todays program:

Around 18.45 it was time to go for tonight’s show. The Edge effect Before the show, they had a video of Mike cruise director “flying” around the ship and be a world class seller of specialty dining. This took 7.mins😵‍💫🤪😝 not my cup of tea for classy….. But, the show tonight was good. It’s a Capella. Good mixture of songs and easy going entertainment. We headed straight from the show to dinner. We were able to get a table asap and had a great service team. Pankaj & Mangal did an excellent start of the cruise. Uday made sure Mr had wine for his dinner. So all in all, a good start of service and kitchen❤️🙌🏻👍🏻 We had: Shrimp Luis Coconut soup Beetroot salad Jerk spiced chicken Crème brûlée Banana blueberry crumble Sleep well and god night from Sil😴

Beautiful sail away ☀️🫶🏻 Sun is shining and we are happy campers❤️ Crew is on, walk around in Sunset and they pay attention to details. If they keep this spirit during our cruise, it’s excellent. Really like the Sunset renovation. More seating and some shade😊 🤪😂😅🤪 Profiling, putting people in a box…. Yes, I said something about it on my last live and someone asked why we always carry our official wedding documents. So we could unpack and get ready for dining & show. Lucky 🍀 us, the suitcases were waiting for us🥰 (aka Norwaylady, so I could unpack) I did a speed test on the WiFi in our stateroom. This is by the balcony door.

We really enjoyed Vancouver❤️ despite the awful boarding process. Canada 🇨🇦 is great 🥰 We are hungry for more Alaska adventure. We want to try earlier in the season… And we want to go further north. You are more then welcome to Oslo or the Norwegian fjords🇳🇴

So, lunch buffet closed 14.30. We arrived 14.20 and it was still full selection and service. It was plenty to choose from. Mrs Club Soda has arrived😂😂😂😅 We had some salat and nachos on the outdoor terrace. Dessert is now in Sunset Bar🥂🍹 Von Voyage⚓️ I forgot to pack my CC beads😔

Lyft took us to port as scheduled. Checking in, went on 1-2-3🙌🏻😎 We went straight to our muster station to register. And now we have put up our door sign. And said hello to our housekeeping, Fevon. We have a large balcony, since we are in the bend😎 Paperwork on arrival🤓 attached. And we are off to lunch😅

So, no luck 🍀 on our suitcase issue…. No shopping or other things to take care of before we leave to the port⚓️ So we took a power walk in direction South Beach. 10km walk is a decent tour before a cruise🙌🏻🚢 Had a “bribe” in my purse for Mr… Called our family and answered some job mail. So now it’s time to leave for port🚢⚓️😎🌴

It’s boarding day🙌🏻⚓️😎 Sil has arrived port of Miami⚓️ (had to check marine traffic when I opened my eyes…) can’t see her from our location in Sunny Isle Beach😅😂 Breakfast on the balcony during sunrise. Strawberries, coffee & croissants❤️ Since our suitcase has been damaged, we must get a PIR from SAS. It’s really not easy for the moment… I contacted the Gold mail asap for assistance. They returned a number to the handling agent at MIA…. Well, the number is not in use… IMG_5284.MOV So we have kicked the ball in return to SAS… Mr is taking a dip in the ocean and I try to solve the case🤓😎 (did a say someone is spoiled🙈) See you on the 🚢

That feeling🤩 When you can put on shorts, sandals and t-shirt…..🥰🥰🥰 We took it slow this morning. (Since I was awake 05.30😝) So around 8.00 we were ready to go for a walk on the beach. Beautiful 23c and perfect breeze for walking. From our hotel to Publix Sunny Isle Beach it’s around 1,8km each way. So we walked by the ocean and picked up some breakfast fruit and beverage. Then we walked back to our location and had a picnic on the sun loungers on the beach. Just taking it slow and relaxing 😎 NewPort Beach resort is partly renovated. The building has new balconies and balcony doors. Inside is not renovated. It’s time for an inside renovation. As of now the pool deck is under renovation. So it’s closed for the public. And it’s work in visual progress. The pool deck has a decent size. (We are overlooking it from our balcony) and a large pool area. So it will probably be a nice area when they finish the renovation. After some hours in the sun, we were “finished” for today’s sun exposure…. Remember, we are milk white after a long winter! So no need to be a pink panther on our first full day☀️🔥☀️ Mr was ready for a beer😅 So he “parked” Norwaylady for relaxing mode in the room and went for a walk. According to google maps, there are a beer store near by…. Guess what😝 He did find the beer store… So a happy camper sat on the balcony enjoying the view and breeze. After some down time, Mr was ready for dinner hunt. Tonight’s dinner is shopped at Publix😅 They have lots of good options. A nice walk in the afternoon are never wrong😎 So salad it is👍🏻. (We are just not into fine dining today❤️🙈😂 ) It has been “electric” for work and other things since January started🤪🤪 So today it’s just a lazy day. (You see, those sea days….. they are very welcome) Tomorrow it’s boarding day⚓️❤️ We have check in time 13.30-14. (We always get a late slot. We prefer to arrive late. So the crazy gangway rush is finished when we arrive) Fingers crossed that boarding will go smooth and that it will not be as crazy as in Vancouver… (remember we stood in line for 2h for security and immigration😵‍💫)

Rise & Shine😅😝 (early bird today) Arrival went as expected. We walked quickly to the train from our terminal to the passport control. We were lucky, the line wasn’t to bad( believe me, we have seen worse in MIA🤪). It took 40.min in line. Bags had been lifted of the belt already when we could collect them. 🙈🤪 2 bags had arrived… but one is broken😔 the hard case has a nice broken pice all the way thru and it has very visually signs of hard transportation. Looks like a giant cat has used it as a scratch object😵‍💫 SAS had no handling agent on arrival tonight and the information desk was not able to contact them for support. So I have filed a claim to customer support on SAS and attached pictures and everything they need to know. Hopefully we can arrange for a new suitcases quickly. We took Lyft to our hotel. Arrived at NewPort Beach Hotel at 22.20. Upon checking in, we needed to sign a waiver from “hell” (something tells me that they have rooms and beach trashed earlier of guests….😳) It was a long list of if this happens, we will charge you xx $$. We just had to laugh of it and tell the reception that we feel like they are expecting that we will trash the place🙄🫠😱 You will never ever be asked to sign something like this at home. We checked in and went straight to bed😴😴 at 23. Then we were all dead😴😴😴

@kguerriero it’s as Scandinavian as it gets Gott & Blandat. The Swedish love small candy and they are the ones in the world eating the most “self serving” candy from the grocery store. It’s in all shopping carts in Sweden on Friday and Saturday for the weekend 😅 and off course Gott & Blandat. Vine gummy and salty licorice is a winner 🏆. Very happy you enjoyed Denmark & Sweden🥰 (you will love Norway then😍😉)

So time’s fly when your having a good time…. Watched some movies and did some work on our way. Crew has been very active. Walking water in the cabin and other beverage choices and snacks in the plus cabin. Extra food was Polar bread🙌🏻 it’s a Scandinavian thing😝 The weakest point on SAS is the IFE assortment. There are movies, series, games, music etc. But compared to SQ, TG, LH it’s not super. Around 4h before landing in MIA, the captain had to switch on the seatbelt sign and crew had to go to their seats. The sign was on for 30.min but it was really no turbulence compared to what we have on Widerøe when we fly north to the family🤪🤪🤪 just some light bumps😉 1.45h before landing in MIA it was time for brunch. Turkey and pumpkin plate. Drinks as requested from the assortment onboard. The captain just announced that we are 45.minutes away from landing in MIA🥰

So, de-ice took one hour❄️❄️❄️ Lots of snow to take off…… Then another 30mins to clear the runway❄️❄️❄️ So at 14.30 it was finally time to 🛫 take-off🙌🏻 The blanket provided in Plus is a full duvet. So warm and cosy. There is a usb plug in the screen and a US stick down in the armrest on your seat. One for each passenger in plus. Today’s main course is a choice of salmon spinach or lasagna for dinner. Choices of red, white, sparkling wine, sodas, beer, cocktails, juice, coffee, tea and sparkling water. Service started by drinks and nuts for aperitif. Then it was dinner service. Everything is served on a tray. Starter today was smoked cod and pickled carrots. Main course was salmon spinach, hollandaise and dill mashed potatoes. Warm bread, dry bread, butter and Camembert cheese. Dessert was blueberry cake, Swedish style. Everything tasted perfect and the fish was perfectly cooked. As you understand, we have WiFi onboard. It’s 8h left to Miami.

Mr Norwaylady is very happy for 🍺 beer. And he really enjoy IPA and Mikkeller. So he was so happy for the new one😂😂😂 I don’t drink beer at all🙈 So a great fit😂😂 one is a big beer fan and one doesn’t drink beer at all😝 on long haul the bar is bigger🍹🍾🥂🍺 Intra Scandinavian is only 1h….

Our flight to MIA is an Airbus 330-300. It’s one of the older SAS aircraft’s. Unfortunately they can’t retire it yet😝 It has 3 classes. Business, Plus and Eco. Konfiguration is 1-2-1 in Business 2-3-2 in Plus 2-4-2 in Eco. Flight time is 10.50h Departure 13.00 Arrival time: 18.50 local time We are seated in SAS Plus. Seating 24AB Window+isle. SAS plus has wider seating and better seat pitch. Bigger IFE screen and you have unlimited drinks and snacks during your flight. Menu for dinner and pre arrival snack is upgraded compared to Economy. amenity kit. Toothbrush, shoe bag and eye mask. In SAS Economy you must pay for alcoholic beverage and snacks between dinner and arrival serving. You receive a bottle of water and a complementary soft drink for meals. If we can’t get bonus tickets in business. We always book SAS Plus on long haul. The extra space and upgraded menu is worth the extra money for us. At ARN they are renovating terminal 5. This means reduced areas to public, less shopping and longer lines in immigration for departure from Schengen/EU. They will finish the renovation during 2023. It was approximately 15.min waiting time in immigration. Pre boarding to gate lounge was open from 11.30. We walked from the lounge around 11.40 and was all cleared and pre boarded at 12.10. Flight is completely fully booked. Lots of Norwegians going to SeaTrade conference. Biggest event for cruise/shipping of the year. At Arlanda it’s full winter. The snow is falling down…. So our flight to ARN/Stockholm is operated on a CRJ900. It’s 2-class configurations. SAS Go and SAS Plus. Seating is 2+2 totally 90 seats. We are seated on 4DF in SAS Plus. Flight time 1.05H according to schedule. Service in Plus is beverage and light snack. SAS Go has complementary coffee/Tea and items for purchase. Full flight today. Majority is transit passengers continuing on Thai Airways to BKK and US flights on SAS. Excellent 💨 wind, expected flight time 35.min… Needed a little detour on de-ice before takeoff. Service in Scandinavian style. Today’s choices are everything on the menu of cold/hot beverages. Choices of chocolate, chips, nuts, muffin and dry bread. So off course Mr was a happy camper🤩 SAS has their own beer from Mikkeller. They just received a new IPA for the spring meny onboard🥳 Cheer’s 🍺 Flight landed on time and we are comfortable seated in the SAS Lounge. Enjoying the view of the airport. Menu in the lounge has converted from breakfast service to lunch. Typically clean Scandinavian menu. Next flight to MIA is at 13.00.

We don’t have the same last name, so that’s first “problem”…. Next “problem” is that Norwaylady don’t look to old🙈 So we have had problems in customs due to this… And we have been married for 12,5years😂🥰 So we just take precautions and have it in the travel documents.

Mum’s Taxi 🚕 picked us up 07.15. It was drizzling 🌧️ but as soon as we left the city area it transformed into wet snow ❄️ King Winter is Holding on… So happy to put on light shoes🙌🏻 We arrived at the airport around 07.55. 5.minutes queue for check in and document check for US. No wait in security, so comfy seated in the SAS Lounge International side🥰 Mr Norwaylady picked up some coffee and “Cheers to a grate flight” pre drink🥂 Very kind, but to early for me🙈❤️
