Thanks for coming aboard. We hope that Ann has fully recovered.

The Country Inn & Suites in Kingsland Georgia is about 25 minutes from Jaxport. It is where we always stay when cruising from there.

It's tough to have foot problems when you are on your feet all day. Hopefully it won't get any worse.

We're looking forward to seeing you guys on the Valor next year. 😎

  2. Got another email from NCL about my Pearl cruise next month… I was nervous at first, because we’ve already lost multiple ports and had excursions altered and canceled… the subject line just said “IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR CRUISE”…. Then I opened it, and….

  3. AND, I've made a semi-last minute adjustment to my cruise plans and for my pre-cruise night I've decided to stay at one place that can provide that TRUE and AUTHENTIC New York experience....

TxTeach79, you're almost there!  I remember the end of the year giddiness we felt as soon as our state testing was over. Field trips, ceremonies, field days...just a little icing on the cake!! Roll with it, and you'll find yourself on that cruise ship before you know it!

    20 days....

  5. 6th grade field trip I was responsible for the logistics of.... DONE. Tomorrow, 6th grade awards ceremony I'm responsible for.... next Wednesday, 6th grade field day I'm responsible for.... 1 down, 2 stressful things to go.... light at the end of the tunnel getting brighter, and I'm starting to believe it's not a train....

What an unbelievably exciting ending to that Dallas-Vegas series.  I thought I was going to be sick.

You're not kidding! Nothing more tense than playoff hockey... make it a game seven, and holy cow....  I'm just glad it wasn't a late west coast start or I'd have big problems today....

  7. So B’s dad was in town from California for the evening (he played in a golf tournament in San Antonio and took the Southwest taxi up here this afternoon) so we took him to dinner at a soufflé joint (of all things) that just opened a new location…

so I had to try the famous “Marshmallow Soup” which isn’t marshmallow at all, but a sort of creamy tomato basil with these big “marshmallow” pillows of goat cheese.. this was probably the highlight of the evening

for my “entree” soufflé I went with a “herb and spicy sausage”

and then for dessert, since I’m three weeks from Venezia and all, I paid homage to the fantastic Carnival (and Princess) Grand Marnier soufflé.

  8. You know it’s been a long one when you rolled in at 6:45 and you’re the last one in the parking lot in the evening…

What a long a$@ day.  Picture 1 was the start of volunteering at the PGA’s Byron Nelson tournament.  Got to the course at 7:00am, left early at almost 3:00.  Got home, showered and immediately walked back out the door to meet my son to attend the Dallas Stars-Las Vegas Golden Knights game (picture 2 is from my seats tonight).

Just got home after a Stars victory, and am scheduled to be right back at the course at 7:00 tomorrow as well as the next 3 days. Looks like we will get wet with all of the rain forecast, or have lots of delays, making the days even longer.

Great seats, great game! Between Stars and Mavs I was happy but stayed up WAAAAY too late last night.... had meetings from 7:30a to 7:15p with class in between, but it was worth it

    1.  I think I went to the Byron Nelson for about 20 straight years and never saw a Golf Ball. Party Pavilion Regular until the tournament left Las Colinas. Oh those were the glorious, golden days in Dallas with unmatched "scenery"

Ahhhh the old pavilion days..... a plastic surgeon's wet dream... the tournament was an afterthot (I know what I did there)

I just made my very long week just a little longer with all of my time on my feet at the Byron Nelson.  Let's go ahead and add tickets to game 5 between the Dallas Stars and the Las Vegas Golden Knights tomorrow night.  My son twisted my arm.

    Now we're talkin'

  12. And just like that, state testing is DONE for the school year! WHEW. Hay’s in the barn now, as they say. Time to gulp these tacos down and spend the rest of the day essentially babysitting. It’s been a busy couple of weeks!
