Is it green on top?
No, I think it's blue
-
No, we are booked in a balcony cabin. Maybe they will let me board quicker :)
-
This will be our 2nd cruise with Princess, that's why I was wondering cause it just said boarding pass before I thought
-
When I click on to print my ticket it says Eticket Preferred Boarding Pass? I've never notice it saying that before, what does that mean? Thanks!

I would turn on your cell phone right as the ship is docking. Winona called and picked me up at my ship. She had left a voice mail on my phone.
Thanks! I will make sure to turn it on as we are docking!

I just spoke to the lady at Adventure Bound Alaska, She said someone would meet us at the dock and either walk us over or drive us over to the boat and I did go ahead and tell her we wanted lunch she said make sure we bring cash to pay for lunch that they didn't have anyway on the boat to take credit card payments

I was on Adventure Bound today, and we went to both the South and North Sawyer glaciers. It was their first visit to the south glacier this season.
I debated about doing the all-day trip to Tracy Arm, but I'm so glad I did it!
Still no cruise ships in Tracy Arm.
oh YAY!! thanks for letting us know! I'm booked with Adventure Bound and so looking forward to this excursion!!

Thank you for your review!!
We are also booked at the Delta Marriott in Vancouver. Glad to hear you enjoyed the hotel. Can't wait to get there!!
-
Oh thank you for the update!! I am so excited about this trip, I can hardly wait!! That's great that you saw bears!!

Sailing on the Coral princess and a new addition this year was a lumberjack show. They had a guy from the Lumberjack show in Keichikan onboard talking about the show, then there was an ax throwing competition among several passengers (with CD also throwing) Two tickets to the actual show in Ketchikan were given as a prize to the winner. All did surprising well and it was fun to watch.
Oh thank you for telling us!! Boarding the Coral in a couple weeks! Sounds like fun!!
Let me know when you go on the Tracy Fjord Tour with Adventure Bound Alaska! I can't wait to get on that one!

Looking forward to your review and pictures!! We go in June and can't wait!!

I will make sure to report back when we return. The last time we saw Jaylene was in 2008 when she was the photographer on her Dad's boat. Looking forward to touching base with her and enjoying her new venture.
We went with Harv & Marv in 2014 and Jayleen was our captain...she was great!! I would not hesitate to go with her and or Harv & Marv again

Thank you for posting!! So glad AK cruise season has started. Can't wait for mine on the Coral!

I'm with Adventure Bound May 16, I think it's their first trip of the year. However far we get in it will be spectacular, I've sailed with them a 1/2 dozen times before.
Doug please when you get back let us know how the Tracy Fjord tour went. I'm going in June 13 so excited for this tour

what a great review!! I just got through reading it and can't wait for our upcoming cruise to Alaska in June. We went to AK in 2014 was our first cruise and first time to Alaska too it was the best vacation I had ever took. So, now we are headed by again:)
-
Thank you. You got me thinking and searching. I now am the proud "owner" of C309 Los Angeles/Alaska/Los Angeles in 2018.
well your pictures did it for me!! So thank you!!
-
We have been on the bump out 309 and loved it as well. It was big enough to enjoy the Ultimate Balcony Dinner with plenty of room to spare.Would take that cabin again if it was available.
Enjoy which everone you decide on.
We booked C310:)

We had the mid-ship forward-corner bump-out on a Vancouver to Whittier cruise and LOVED it. The view was fantastic, and if it was cold we layered clothing or wrapped up in a blanket. We considered it to be part of the Alaska experience! The curve in the balcony does give you a slightly smaller balcony, but with just 2 of us in the cabin, it was a non-issue.
Glad to hear this!! It will be only two of us too! I will just put on more clothes and bundle up with a blanket!!
-
We had the forward corner bumpout (416 I think) and LOVED LOVED LOVED it. That said, give the choice, I would probably take the rear facing corner bump on the same section. While it never made it unuseable, there was notably more wind underway. On a Panama Canal itinerary it was quite nice, in Alaska might be a bit of an issue depending on temps.
That's what I figure if it gets too cold I'll just put on more clothes:D There was no Aft available.
-
Same thing happened to me. They dropped the price a little bit before final payment and we was able to get a little bit back, then after final payment they dropped the price big time and we got to upgrade from a oceanview to a balcony at no extra costs so I'll take it!!
Hope it works out for you!

As the old Chinese proverb goes: A picture is worth a thousand words. I am so glad you are considering this cabin. Looks like is it is Caribe Deck. Can't remember....lol. Did a b2b2b (LA/Vancouver/Whittier/Vancouver). Enjoy the stateroom. One of the best I've been in.
Well the pictures did it for me!! I am now booked on Caribe Deck 310:D Again thank you so much for the pictures!!
-
I don't remember which deck (309) I was on (Coral Princess), but it was the last cabin in the first bump out. Best cabin ever!
Glass balcony railing curved (yes, balcony was slightly, oh so slightly, smaller).
Because it was at the end of the bump out, the other cabins offered wind shear protection. Think deflector on a car/truck.
No obstruction, you could see a wider range (and your neighbors balcony and room aft of you).
Oh WOW!! What a view!! Thank you for the pictures!! It does look a little smaller but who cares!! You can really see a long way!! I've emailed my TA to see if I can change

This link will help to see about covered or uncovered balconies.

Thank you for the link!!
What I was really wanting to know is will it be better view, colder etc. on the bumpout balcony, sorry I didn't explain it well. Would you stay where we are at with B314 or move to a more forward bumpout?
-
I really need advise on the bumpout Balcony forward sections on the Baja & Caribe Decks. We are booked in B314 now but can move to the bumpout out on either deck.
What is the pros and cons for these cabins.
Thank you in advance for your help.
