My mother is in a similar situation, except she doesn't even have a mobile phone. Why? Because where she lives she can't get a moblie signal without going for a walk to the end of her road. I haven't been on Arvia, yet, but we were on Iona and the app was not helpful as I could only use it to book for us, and not Mum in another cabin. For our evening meals we just asked the desk to book us the same table at the same time each evening, and the shows or anything else than needed booking we got reception to book for us. I have do have a smartphone but am not attached to it, it gets used for calls, texts and photos. Everything else online tends to be done on my laptop.

I remember talking to a collegue and her friend's had chosen the child's name, but changed their minds when they realised the initials would be TNT. Two of my daughter's classmates were Rebecca Wood and Rebecca Orchard. My own children have classic names, but I did insist that we didn't follow the Italian tradition of naming them after members of OH's family. There are a lot of other members with the same name and it gets confusing, and to differentiate they get referred to as photorapher Piero and Northwood Piero, etc.

My grandfather was a chain smoker and my father used to smoke a pipe and gave up after a couple of attempts. I have never smoked but if I am near someone who is, I start coughing and you would think I that I was a heavy smoker too!🥴

My friend was on this cruise and said it was the worst cruise she has been on and was glad to get home.

I don't have the option of getting the coach as our nearest pick-up point is Bristol. It is easier for us to travel up by train.

I have just had a look for our cruise on Arvia in May for 2 weeks - £243. I have been looking at hotels with parking, as not sure what the situation with regards trains will be in May and a hotel with transfers was less!

Yes, we still have an NHS dentist. Although we went for a period without having one, as our dental surgery closed as we were coming out of the pandemic as the dentist left. Luckily it has reopened with a different dentist, which reminds me that I need to book an appointment!

We were on Iona last January and there was no queuing that we saw but Iona has 4 MDR and Arvia has (I believe) 2, maybe that is the problem?

Perhaps I have had a lucky escape as we were supposed to be on Arvia now as well!

A lot of cars here have the reg number starting with WK, mine included, so I remember it by thinking week, the number and then last three letters (two of which are the same) Although on several occasions I have seen registration plates only differing by the number - year of manufacture!

We visited the Canary Islands in January last year and the temperature was up into the 20s.

Good to hear that after your recent MRI it is not showing that you have no active leasions, or any changes since your last scan. I have received a letter from Treliske Hospital saying my consultant has requested an MRI but at this time they cannot give me a date or time, except to say it will be on or around the 28th February. We go away on the 27th!

Good morning all. Was nice and sunny as I took a walk into town to the TA to pay balance of our holiday. Met the rest of the family we are going with and TA sorted out our respective amounts due. Paid and started to walk home. Nearly there and the lead booker gets a phone call saying that the TA had made a mistake and forgotten to deduct our deposits and owned us all an amount. Discussing it we couldn't work out how she had arrived at the figure she had, so decided to return. Needless to say it started raining and we got soaked only for it to stop the minute we walked back into the TAs! All sorted now, just the holiday to look forward to. Only other plans for today is to get the Christmas decorations back up into the loft. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend. Pam
