  1. The, so called, app opens at 6.30 pm for dining. On one occasion when I joined the queue, at that time, we waited for an hour. On some occasions we just walked up and managed to get seated almost straight away on others we were given a pager. I too found the reception on Azura poor, but it was much better on Arvia.
  2. Overcast again here, with showers forecast for this morning, but expected to clear up later and become warm🤞 Daughter is comng round this evening to watch the match with OH, they both support Italy. So it won't be a quiet evening! Hope everyone has a good day and enjoys the football, which ever team you support!
  3. I attended one of the classes on Britannia in September and it consisted of making you own postcard or card and some napkin folding. It is the only one I went to, but my DIL's nephew went to some of the others. Two I remember were painting in the dark, (neon paints) and painting on glass, where a sheet of plastic was put over one of the windows for painting on. All, in my opinion, aimed at children.
  4. @Josy1953 Hope your sister's brain scan gives her the all clear,🤞 and doesn't have to wait ages for the results. Overcast down here, and still a bit of a breeze but not too bad.
  5. Good morning to you all, Another sunny day, 16c forecast, but the wind is back! So probably won't feel as warm. Nothing planned for today, just the normal chores. Take care and enjoy your day.
  6. It's turned out to me a nice warm sunny day, much better than expected☺️ I've spent most of the afternoon sitting in the garden reading and this evening it has still been warm enough to sit out with a glass of wine and am at present listening to the local church bells ringing.
  7. Congratulations on the new addition to your family. Arvia has a few more activities, i.e. the skywalk, crazy golf and the escape room, but none of those are of interest to me I found Iona very similar to Arvia. Although when I sailed on Iona she was sailing at half capacity, as occupancy was still restricted due to covid.
  8. Morning everyone, hope you are all well. Bright and sunny here, but not only expected to reach a temp of 15c, but at least the wind we've had for the last few days has dropped. A couple of errands in Penzance this morning and a cake to bake for OH to take to a meeting this evening, but no other plans. Have an enjoyable day.
  9. On Arvia in April our cabin door was on the right and our sofa was near the wardrobes (the cabin next door was the same).
  10. Good Morning, It's very quiet here this morning. Where is everyone? Still very windy but dry, and looking very rainified out. It's not very warm either, 13c and the wind is making it feel colder. Nothing exciting planned for today, just trip to Tesco and Home Bargains. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
  11. It's windy and dry after all yesterday's rain, but more there's more to come in the forecast. Got woken up this morning by the re-cycling lorry backing down the lane behind our house. They were supposed to have come yesterday. A bit of running aound this afternoon. My daughter's borrowed my car and will bring it back lunchtime. I have then need to give her a lift into Penzance, before returning home to dog sit, until my son comes home to take her (the dog) home. He's dog and house sitting while my daughter's away for the weekend.
  12. Just checked and have, copied and pasted wording, from My P&O In the unlikely event of the emergency, will you require assistance from crew on board? * No Yes What level of assistance do you require in case of emergency evacuation? * I require evacuation chair assistance and I’m under 128 kg (282 lbs). I require evacuation chair assistance and I’m above 128 kg (282 lbs). I require one-to-one assistance (for help on stairs or for hidden disability needs).
  13. Morning to you all. It's not nice down here, it's like winter, windy with heavy rain. A day to stay in, in the dry. Met with my friends for coffee yesterday and a natter and swapped books with one of them, so now have plenty of more books to read. Hope everyone has a good day.
  14. There are two packages. One is the Commodore's collection and the other is the Captain's collection, both with the option of purchasing 6 or 12 bottles. I have always rung P&O and purchased before we board, and a card has been in my cabin for me to hand to the waiters in the MDR which is the exchanged for a booklet of tickets. In April I paid £134 for the Captain's collection (6 bottle option), but there has been a price increase on drinks since then, so I don't know what the wine package prices are now.
  15. I have had the wine package on several occasions, the most recent being on Arvia in April and had a little booklet of tickets. Speed of service has tended to be good, but it depends on the waiters in question and I have had no problems. Yes, you could have the same wine each night if you wish.
  16. Looks like we've had rain overnight again, but he sun is shining now, although not very warm at only 10c with 15c expected. Shouldn't complain as it's dry and rain is forecast for the next few days, so will make the most of today in the garden. Meeting friends for coffee, well coffee for me and tea for them, later on, but other than that nothing planned.
  17. Looking at the forecast for beginning of next week, liquid sunshine more like!! But being Cornwall, anything can happen in the next half hour🤷‍♀️
  18. Morning one and all. Hope everyone is fit and well, or getting better. Don't know what to our weather is going to do, I think it's undecided. It was brilliantly sunny when I got up, but then clouded over and the sun is now coming out again. Temp wise it's 13c and expected to get to a tad warmer to 15c, it's also windy and I wish someone would put the wood in the hole! Hope you have a good day.
  19. Morning everyone, Welcome back Jane, it's good to hear from you again. I hope the results from your referrals are good. Another day were we've had rain overnight, but the sun is trying to get through. Supposed to get up to 15c but as it's windy I doubt it will feel like it. Got an appointment at local surgery this morning for a blood test, hopefully I won't become a pin cushion like last time!😬 Have everyone has a good day.
  20. I was on Arvia in April and although the door to the pool area was closed people were still walking through the chef's table area to the buffet area and some were opening the door to the pool area to go out.
