  1. They offered 50% the price we paid for the cruise (obviously they are refunding the cruise fare) as a FCC. There is also cruises that are leaving on the 7th they offered.
  2. We are on the phone now with agent The ship is stuck with immigration in Barcelona. The compensation is pitiful.
  3. We are in Civitacecchia due to get on the cruise tomorrow and I just got a text that the cruise is cancelled.
  4. Something another passenger observed is there are no ice machines. I don't use it so this is just a fyi.
  5. We are up at 0500 for a shore excursion at 0730. Hubby went to Eatery and got coffee and it was tepid. Then went to International Cafe and got brewed it was free till 0600(?). Nothing I write is fact only what we observed.
  6. Yes, there is all of the above (not sure if juice is only breakfast or all day) at Eatery that are in containers. I asked a waiter today and he said that I could help myself. Also the waiter will bring the above to your table as on other cruises. Also available at breakfast in the dining room and at dinner (lunch on sea days) as on other ships.
  7. In Santorini, the Sun must use the port's tenders. They were not allowed to use the ships "lifeboats". We got a late start due to it being the first time the Sun was in port and there were delays with the city not Princesses fault. It took a several hours for everyone to get off the ship once the tenders started running. I mention this as a couple had rented a car and ended up using the stairs to get up to it.
  8. I don't know how often the Sun will stop at Santorini, but the lines are crazy long for the Gondola (the lift) and the donkey rides. There are 2 smaller ships here also. Violinist is practicing right now and on 10 in the hallway near the elevators I could faintly hear him. But this would be very subjective.
  9. The only drink that I have seen available is coffee right before buffet opens. Other drinks are in pitchers poured by staff during serving hours. I think they open at 0600. I asked several servers about drinks at night and only got vague answers about using International cafe.
  10. We are on the Sun now. You can self serve coffee.
  11. You can also call Princess and they can book the internet package. Just have to use a credit card.
  12. The captain of the Vision came on right before dinner last night and said there waw a medical emergency and we were heading to Port Canaveral and the up to Maryland.
  13. We are staying away from the storm and about midway up Florida. We are not heading north...seem to be just in a holding pattern (my opinion only).
  14. We are currently on Vision of the Seas and cruise has been extended till 9/25 as we were due in 9/23. We are currently still level with Fl. There is a ship from another company due in Sunday so we can not dock till Monday.
  15. We’re excited to welcome you onboard for our Vision of the Seas September 14th, 2023 sailing. Before we set sail together, we have some important updates to share. As you know, we’re continuing to monitor adverse weather from Hurricane Lee with our Chief Meteorologist, Craig Setzer. Please know, the safety and well-being of our guests and crew members remain our highest priority. To ensure we have a safe journey and stay well away from Hurricane Lee’s path, we’ve adjusted our itinerary to go South instead of North. We’ll now overnight in Baltimore, Maryland, and proceed to Port Canaveral, Florida for our new and exciting itinerary! Additionally, we’ll now visit Nassau, and sail to our beautiful private destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay. Although we’ll depart from Baltimore on September 15th, guests are still required to board and remain onboard on September 14th as scheduled. We’re truly sorry for any inconvenience caused by this. 16. Yes, here is more info. The decision to modify our itinerary was not taken lightly. We’ve done everything possible to minimize the impact to your time with us, and we’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience. To help make up for these changes, we’re providing you with a 1-day refund in the form of an Onboard Credit if you sail. This credit will be automatically placed in your SeaPass account. We understand how much effort and time goes into planning your vacation. If you decide to cancel your sailing, we’ll be sad to see you go, but we will provide a full refund, including non-refundable deposits. So instead of sweaters and long pants for Canada. I need to repack for the south

  18. What we often do is fly in a day early and stay at a hotel airport that has a free bus. Then we have our PVP book a transfer from the airport to ship.
  19. We just got off in Dec and got off in Ft Lauderdale and did the walk off with our luggage. We were one of the first off so few people.
  20. BargainMan, See my post above, We tried it just to see how it worked last voyage (we were pleased) but we were in the lowest cabins category available for the Caribbean. We didn't care where we were on the ship due to burning off credits before they expired. We have a March Hawaiian cruise where we are located Mid Obstructed Deluxe Balcony. I don't think we will bid (never say never). It would cost another (prices are each) $325 each for a mini-suite, $135 Premium Deluxe and $70 Deluxe Balcony. So the only one we would even look at is the Mini (we have never sailed in one)
  21. tawlaw....when we won our bid this month we were book as far aft interior as you could go. We won the bid for obstructed deluxe as far forward as you can go. Again this is just our experience.
  22. What is odd suzyed is that you did not get a notification that your bid was declined. When we bid for our early Dec cruise we were not notified until right after the 3 day mark that one bid was declined and the other accepted.
  23. I think it must be a widespread error. I have a cruise coming up that I had paid in full and also paid for the 4 device plan. Since mid Dec. I have had the message "No Plans Available to Purchase"
  24. I purchased it for our March cruise and rather than showing 4 devices symbol we are getting the same error message. This is just a FYI
  25. We are currently on the 7 day Caribbean on the Sky. We had booked an interior as we needed to use up credits. We bid on obstructed balcony and deluxe obstructed balcony as soon as bidding opened. We didn't hear anything at all until 2 days and 20 hours before the cruise. One showed we got the upsell (I don't think there was much if any savings over booking it initially as we paid we paid $135 per person for the deluxe obstructed. We did receive a notice that the other bid was rejected. So this is more of a FYI
