  1. Reading on FB that current Symphony sailing is trying out new menus. Anyone here have feedback yet?
  2. I love the Oasis version of poached eggs, but I'm learning a new way down in Chops. Need to adapt to your surroundings
  3. Harmony was only doing 2 rotating menus for lunch. Changes on day 5. Hated the 2nd lunch menu, to heavy. Oasis uses 4-5 menus, and while some things repeat on the menu, it's a better variety.
  4. They blame it on wastewater disposal related to fracking. Seen it in PA as well. They're pretty mild, just surprising St Louis has a big fault just south, New Madrid, but it's not active
  5. Oasis, food just seems better and more diverse. Symphony is nice. Can't wait to try Wonder. Not a big fan of the Quantum Class. The venue is kind of boring. Food on Odyssey was ok
  6. I found the order to be opposite CK lunch made up of the previous nights dinner. This was on Harmony, my least favorite CK
  7. And we had earthquakes down there as well Seminole, OK Speaking of earthquakes, Charleston, SC has to build homes to both earthquake codes and hurricane codes. 🤣 And in nearby Goose Creek, the Navy has 2 antique reactors being run by 20 year old kids learning about nuclear propulsion🤣🤣🤣 Used to do it in Orlando I believe
  8. I have a dozen shows I've meant to watch. House of Cards comes to mind. Off hand, here are some more Ozark Breaking Bad Walking Dead Weeds 6 Feet Under Nurse Jackie Westworld Etc....
  9. Don't forget Hotel Directors and Chief Engineers as well
  10. We're looking at Jewel leaving then as well.
  11. As an adult, I've lived in Missouri, Maryland, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. All those places except Maryland had humid, miserable summers, and ice in winter. And I worked Texas. Same crappy seasons. Florida aint so bad.😉 Interesting thing in Ocala is its typically 10 degrees hotter and 10 degrees cooler than Cocoa Beach on any given day. Ocean breezes make beachside living very 👌
  12. We had a promenade cabin on Adventure. Most noise I heard was from t-shirt sale. Probably didn't hear event noises because we were out enjoying them😉
  13. Just be glad the sand stopped at crossover on the beach side😉 Our old crossover is about 200' long. I've posted this view 100+ times no doubt. Our deep dunes are a blessing to slow down wave intensity
  14. Weather doesn't bother me one way or the orher. I grew up outside Joplin, MO. The exit for tornado alley. I'd would honestly take an occasional hurricane over regular tornadoes any day. You can prep, or leave with a hurricane. Tornadoes just catch you with your pants down.
  15. Not sure when high tide was for our area, but it's been low for the ones we went through. Volusia, which is even more north of the eye this time always seems to be hit at high tide. Makes the surge worse. And FWIW, properties in Brevard just seem to be further off the beach with natural dunes. You don't see as many sea walls. And walls are just typically breached in a huge surge
  16. I very carefully dropped 100 new ones this weekend. Just makes more sense to post memes and such over there. Just be careful😉
  17. You need to expect storm surges living on a canal. Its the folks in Orlando area that got caught off guard. Luckily our area is very rolling, and rivers nowhere near us. Plus our lot is the high point of our street. Kinda hate the steep drive, though. Seems newer developments have a lot more water retention designed in. I've read a lot of flooded areas may succumb to eminent domain in order increase water retention.
