  1. Hi DJW8385! I am just back from my Splendor cruise. I loved the ship, and as always the crew are fantastic. I also enjoyed the American Table menu/food very much. There were a couple of "hiccups" to my cruise, and a bit of (I just cant put my finger on it) reasons why this was not my best cruise ever, but it was definitely not the fault of the ship or crew. I will probably post a review in the members review section this week, but I have to ponder a bit longer why exactly this cruise fell short of others. It was still a good cruise, and very enjoyable all the same. Your review game me lots of great info to have going into the cruise, and is much appreciated. :)

I'm glad my review provided you feedback for your cruise. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your cruise and I'm looking forward to your review :)

  2. Just looked, and saw FTTF is available again. I bought it and now I'm even more excited. I said I would never sail without FTTF again. 31 more days!!! This cruise should be one for the books. Its a 25th birthday present to myself and I've decided to try out the Cheers! package. Being from NOLA, I love to drink. I'm curious as to if I will reach the 15 drink limit. I figure 2 mimosas and a bloody mary/maria for breakfast. Then a couple drinks and a couple shots throughout the day. Then a pre-dinner martini or 2 lol. Then a drink with dinner. Ooops i forgot the spiked coffee before breakfast. Hell, I may have one of those after dinner too!

Okay after I have written all of that down, I see thats 13 drinks by dinner easily. Leaving me with only 2 free drinks to end the night with. I guess sea days will be the hardest to not reach the 15 drinks. And yeah I know I can pay for drinks before 15, but I refuse to buy any drinks onboard. Maybe I'll enter the mixologist contest and win a couple free drinks.

I know this is a lot to read but I needed somewhere to vent. None of my friends are crazy cruise lovers like myself. I feel like I am annoying them when I am constantly talking about cruising. Oh well, hopefully my best friend will become hooked on this next cruise.

    HAPPY CRUISING YALL!!! :)

My cousin and I purchased the cheers package for our cruise last week on the Carnival Splendor. We hit our limit on the first three days of our cruise and during the remaining five, we were two to three drinks away from our limit. I like the cheers because I tried different drinks that I wouldn't have tried before. My cousin and I did the same thing you did. We did mimosa's on our (three) sea days, cocktails and blended drinks (w/patron) and then at dinner we had wine. By the time we hit the club we had three drinks remaining before hitting our limit.

I'm a cruisaholic. We're already booked on the Carnival Magic (8/5/17). My parents usually wait until I search through the itineraries bc I plan and organize our cruises lol. I love cruising. The cruise we're really waiting for is the European itineraries to be released on the Carnival Horizon

  4. I can hardly wait to sail on her in October. I've seen a lot of comments about PINK, but really can it be any worse than the RED/GOLD/ORANGE of all the other ships (except the new dream class)? I love the over-the-top colors and décor. And pink is my favorite color....:)

You'll love the Splendor. It's a great ship and the pink isn't overwhelming. If you want, read my review of my recent cruise aboard the Carnival Splendor. Have a great cruise.

Food for thought: Did you know the Splendor was originally called the Costa Splendor? It was transferred to Carnival during it's construction in 2007, leaving the Carnival Splendor as an only class ship in Carnival's fleet. Since Costa is under Carnival, the Splendor is apart of the Concordia class in Costa's fleet. Carnival also have some Spirit, Destiny and Dream class in Cost's fleet. Just thought I'd share that with you :)

  5. We have 346 days until we're on Magic.

Which Radisson and Country Inn and Suites did you book? Also, if you're flying in, did you rent a car?

We're on the same cruise. August 5th, please hurry. I book this cruise while aboard the Carnival Splendor last week. I'm a cruisaholic lol

  6. Finally booked....Splendor next April....ugh...so far away.....Have been on 6 other Carnival ships but not the Splendor...I know...IT'S PINK! Will have to check if there is a roll call...:)

Just got off the Splendor on Sunday. The Carnival Splendor is a lovely ship and the pink interior isn't overwhelming. If you want, check out my review of the Splendor. It should address any concerns you may have prior to your cruise.
