  1. One thing to keep in mind when booking with Atlantis directly for that $120, if your cruise ship changes itineraries which happened twice this week you will not get a refund and passes are only valid on that excursion date. It would be beneficial to have a cruise insurance in that case.

It's a tough decision on what it's worth to save a few $$, if I am in a situation that I need to save a few dollars, then I most likely am not in a position to lose that money if the ship doesn't dock.

  2. Depending on when you're traveling you might check with resortforaday.com on the new Warwick Luxury Resort for Adults Only. They are All Inclusive and will be offering Day Passes after October 1st for about $97 per person. I plan on checking it out in March when I go on a short weekend cruise there.

  3. Does anyone know if you can use prepaid visa

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Just be sure to make sure your Prepaid Visa can be used internationally. A lot of the pre paid cards will have a fine print that it can only be used in the United States. I use a Travel Pre Paid Card that I got from my bank and it can be used internationally.

  4. The Sandals Resort just recently unexpected closed down until October 13th. I've done the Breezes Day Pass and British Colonial Hilton Day Pass through resortforaday.com The Breezes is an All Inclusive for guest ages 14 and up from 10a to 6p , about a 15 minute taxi ride from the pier, and it's a very "active" resort with music and activities, more of a 3 star property but it is All Inclusive. I personally preferred the Hilton, it is just a short walk from the pier. At $60 per each adult you get back a $40 food/drink credit which bought me lunch and 3 drinks without going over. It's a more quiet relaxing resort that I think would be a 4 star property.

  5. Also keep in mind that the Atlantis Dolphin Cay excursions do take about 3 hours from start to finish. We thought being in Nassau from 9:00A.M to 5:00P.M would give us plenty of time to do both. We did the waterpark from 9:00A.M to 1:30P.M and then the Dolphin Shallow Water. My kids are 12 and 16 at the time, and they said they would have rather spent the extra 3 hours in the waterpark.

  6. Thank you all so much! Unfortunately, nothing is open yet for that first sailing on November 5th. I guess I will just have to wait. Thanks!

I am also sailing on the November 5th Harmony, and they have not yet opened entertainment for bookings. Most likely because it's just a 3 night. It will probably open closer to the sailing date.

  7. I saw resortforaday.com has the Discover Atlantis tour for $46.00 per each adult. Just includes access to the indoor areas and The Dig Aquarium. No access to the outdoor areas.

  8. I have done the Sunscape Splash Day Pass through Resortforaday.com I liked that they included transportation, and the driver was very easy to find and it took less than 5 minutes to get there. It was a secured gated area. My children loved spending the day at the waterpark and playing on the ship . It drizzled for about an hour, so that gave us time to grab some lunch. I liked the hospitality of the staff there, they were always asking if we needed anything and even got the kids fruity non alocholic drinks. They have a beach there too, with kayaks paddle boats, and other equipment. It was a fun day, good value, we would do it again.

  9. Thank you for this post. I paid a little extra to Pre Reserve my Day Pass also through Resort for a Day. I've used them before in Jamaica and Nassau and thought it was a great option. Resort for a Day is owned by a US Company so I didn't have to worry about my credit card being used internationally. This is my first Southern Caribbean Cruise, cannot wait to relax on the beach at the Marriott.

  10. We are cruising in October on our honeymoon and this is one of our port stops! We are on a budget so we are looking for recommendations on things to do, best beaches, etc. If anyone has any suggestions, this is our first time on a cruise and first time out of the country!! Thanks in advance. :)

The St. Kitts Marriott Day Pass is only $59 per person and they have a Beautiful private beach with Day Beds. I booked that Day Pass with Resort for Day. They only offer 15 passes each day though, so you'll want to book early. Congratulations on the Wedding :)

  11. I booked the Hilton Barbados through Resort for a Day. I've used them before and never had any problems. This is my first time cruising to the Southern Caribbean, all the Islands look beautiful! Cannot wait to sit back and relax!

  12. I agree, I think it's best to use Resort for a Day so if your ship changes itineraries or doesn't dock you're covered. It's less than Royal Caribbean's pricing and they include the roundtrip transfers from the company that is on site at the Hilton. It would be about a 20-30 minute taxi ride from the Falmouth pier to the Hilton Rose Hall. "Rose Hall" is like the city or district name that the Hilton Property is located.

  13. My first cruise to Nassau, I made the mistake of thinking I could just walk off the ship and go lounge on this public beach that was within walking distance. Yes, it was within walking distance BUT it wasn't the cleanest beach, no shaded lounge chairs, and locals trying to braid my hair and sell me herbs that I wasn't interested in. Second cruise I booked the British Colonial Hilton is is right next to Junkanoo towards the pier. Nice private relaxing beach day in a shaded chair. Booked with Resort for a Day and the Day Pass included snorkeling equipment to use.

  14. I've used them twice last year without any problems. Also booked with them again for November this year. It's very easy to grab a taxi at the pier, and be at the Atlantis in less than 10 minutes. Taxi rates are about $4 per person one way.

  15. Down to 99 days before cruising from San Juan on the Carnival Fascination to Southern Caribbean and have never visited any of the Islands on my Itinerary. I like finding private relaxing beaches away from the crowd and found this option in St. Maarten. Is anyone familiar with St. Maarten to know if the Sonesta Great Bay Resort is near the cruise ship pier?

  16. My kids LOVED spending the day at the Jewel Runaway Bay. We booked day passes through Resortforaday and since we had more than 8 in our party we got a group discount. They have a very large waterpark and beautiful beach area to enjoy. The family is now planning a vacation to go back and stay there for a week.

  17. Has anyone booked at this resort? If so, can you book with the resort or with another website.

I've booked the Sunscape Splash before when docked at Montego Bay. We booked through resortforaday.com and it included the roundtrip transfers from the pier. It was just a short 5 minute ride there and even with light showers we enjoyed playing in the waterpark, having lunch, and a few drinks. They have a beach with activities as well.

  18. I saw them for $120 but I was concerned about their cancellation policy being 14 days in advance. With hurricane season the weather is so unpredictable and ships changing itineraries on a whim. Bahamasdaypass guaranteed me a refund if the cruise ship doesn't dock, I also liked that they are a US based company so my credit card is not being used internationally. My sister and niece are SO excited to be going on the Harmony's first US Sailing to Nassau and getting to spend the day at the Atlantis!

  19. We're going back and forth about purchasing an excursion to Atlantis. I've looked into less expensive alternatives, but for 3 of us, it ends up costing the same as the cruise excursion. My question is. . . . . Is it worth it? Our ship docks at noon and leaves at 7:00. I checked and there will be a total of 3 cruise ships docked in Nassau that day. I'm a new cruiser, so I don't know if that's a lot of ships (i.e., Atlantis will be crowded, long waits for slides).

Anyone with experience, I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

If you're cruising in June the Aquaventure park closes at 7:00P.M so you will still have at least 5 hours at the park, which is a full day excursion. My kids and husband Love the Atlantis waterpark and it was the highlight of our Disney Cruise. We purchased our passes from bahamasdaypass.com to save a little and to get there faster. If you've never visited the Atlantis Aquaventure, I think it's worth doing just once. Lots to see and do, and lots of fun memories created.

  20. We booked the Dolphin Cay independently with bahamasdaypass.com and it was about 2.5 hours from start to finish. You can easily grab a taxi at the pier and go to The Cove Atlantis and walk over to Dolphin Cay from there. We did an afternoon session at 1:30p.m and we had to leave early at 3:30p.m to get back to the ship that left at 5:00P.M I would recommend doing an earlier session if it's available.

  21. I booked the Secrets Through resortforaday.com and it went perfectly. It was $99 per person for access to both the Secrets Properties all inclusive and transfers included. (They do require a 2 week in advance reservation.) The driver was waiting at the pier with a Resort for a Day sign and it was a short 5 minute ride to the resort. Beautiful resort that was quiet and not busy at all. Loved the pool, swim up bar, and the beach. I could have spent weeks here. The resort staff hospitality was wonderful. The included transfers had us back to the ship with over an hour and a half to shop at the pier and pick up a few gifts.

  22. Wanted to share my experience on the Iberostar Day Pass. We booked 2 passes on resortforaday dot com for $63 each. My husband and I disembarked at 11:10A and it took about 10 minute to walk down the pier, through the international building, and down to the taxi's. We grabbed a taxi and it cost $20 for the both of us and we arrived at 11:35A.M. Resort is in a gated secured area so we had to show our printed Day Pass at the security to get into the resort and then was dropped off at the front door. Check in was quick and easy. There is a gift shop right in the lobby, wifi in the lobby. When we walked out the doors to go to the pool and beach area I was so happy to see all the Flamingos, Iguanas, and Peacocks as I walked to the beach. Beautiful! I will say it is bit of a walk from the front entrance to the beach. But the Beach is very beautiful. Towels were provided, and it is All inclusive so there was buffet style lunch being served in the restaurant beside the beach. They also had 2 pool areas, children area, and activities planned through out the day. We enjoyed relaxing on the clean beach, wasn't crowded, but not solitary either. We asked the front desk to call us a taxi and picked up a couple of souveniers in the gift ship while we waited for the taxi. It was a great way to spend the day away from the cruise ship crowds. I would do this excursion again, and would recommend to others.
