Hi Jane,
The penthouse suite offer at a good price sounds like a good choice. You shouldn't miss out on any benefits as at th time of booking ask your TA to book prime 7 for you and if you have decided about your shore excursions she could book them too or find out what is available for you.also at this late stage if you are flying BA you may be able to book your seats too?
You were asking about the deck 9 penthouse suite we have been midship 9 so not sure about the 2 disabled ones you mention but on any of the 3 ships we have never been aware of noise disturbances near the lifts. Let us know how you get on.
Jean.

What a wonderful cruise you have to look forward to. We have stayed in Sorrento twice in hotels and also had tender ports there on Navigator in 2009 and twice later on Mariner.
Our best advice to you would be arrange on board via the concierge a private car/excursion.
The marina where you arrive is very busy.Regent arranges small shuttle van up to the town which is quite a steep hill. You would then have to get to the railway station from there.
Pompeii is over an hour from Sorrento by road and very busy with delays and congestion especially in afternoon. The visit to Pompeii is well worth the effort, but it is a busy place with lots of visitor's and traffic.
This area of Italy is wonderful and you will not be disappointed at all. I hope this ha been helpful to you.Have a fabulous cruise.

We have upgraded each time with transatlantic flights via our TA to Regent and always had BA here from the UK. The costs have been well worth it and we have been able to chose our flight times. For our up and coming cruise our TA got us first class on the return home flight from Miami at the cost of £50 each over the cost of the business class flight. This is with BA and we feel the extra is well worth it. As you all say a good TA is good to know .

Thank you for your replies.I have not received my latest copy of Regent Times yet. It's a great wee magazine as last issue they listed the names of the captain and cruise director for each ship and timetable up until mid summer. That's a pity you don't get this in the USA, as I am sure you would enjoy it.

It looks as though it could be a service corridor which could bring noise and staff traffic? The laundry room is posted at the end of it too. What other choices has your TA given you to choose?
