  1. shootr - sorry to hear about all that!! Hopefully just a few days or so on the easy foods and your belly will get better.

Good job to everyone who lost this week! I am very jealous LOL

I didn't lose anything this week. 0 up or down. I guess I can't complain, I'm still in my moonboot and crutches so I haven't been able to exercise and laying around bored all day, I've been overeating plenty. :(

Had a follow up on my leg today, it's getting better and I have a follow up appointment in 3 weeks. LOL

In good news - I BOUGHT MY WEDDING DRESS YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!! :):D:p

    Isabel

    Congrats on the upcoming nuptials!

  2. Well, my week hasn't been as good as most...

Thought I'd just pulled a stomach muscle last week, but it just wouldn't heal up until finally, Monday, I had to tap out and go to the Dr. One poke and he sent me off for tests and scans - Ulcerative Colitis.

Sorry as heck. But now they know what it is and you can get properly treated for it.

Not that it's the same thing but by age 50 I'd already had my first hip replacement. Now, at 65, I sometimes think I'm held together by duck tape.

  3. Belle didn't post today so I decided to start the thread. But since I'm not her, there will be no entertaining poem to start off.

I stayed the same this week - 205. I only "cheated" a couple of times but apparently that was enough.

I hope everyone lost but, whether or not you lost, the key is to keep plugging away over the long term. If you keep trying, the weight will come off.

  4. I've had some health issues, too, that have kept me from exercising. Trying to lose the weight with diet and a little exercise.

I'm in the same situation. I was losing weight nicely until I developed lower back problems, most likely a herniated disc (which I've had before) and my weight loss has been slowed. My cruise leaves in 2 weeks and I'm going to take my cane and a supply of painkillers.

  5. My wife has proposed that, in 2018, we take the Caribbean Princess 12 night cruise of the British Isles (England, Ireland, Scotland, with one stop in France).

We've been to London and southern Ireland so we know we'll love the different places we'll see. But we've never been on a Princess ship.

Does anyone have any words of advice about this cruise and the ship?

  6. I hear you, shepherdqueen. My exercise program has been limited lately by back problems but I'm still plugging away. I know you can do it.

I lost another pound (somehow) over the weekend to 205 so I decided to try on the new pants I ordered from Amazon, size 38 waist, with the hope that I'll be able to wear them on my May 1 cruise. But they were too tight. I'll have to lose at least 5 more pounds for them to fit. So unless I really, really buckle down I'll have to rely on my size 40's.

  7. An Old Saying..

As you get older..the time goes faster

    True or False True

    Also say..

If you eat to much you gain..eat less you lose

    True or false True

    Also say..

Exercise is good for you..do it even if you don't like it

    True or False True

    So if all is true...

We must eat less NOW..exercise NOW.. because the months,

years are going by to FAST! Very True

Thanks, Belle, for pointing out these hard truths.

After last week's dramatic loss of 4 pounds I was hoping for a repeat, but no go. I've had some physical problems that limited my time at the gym. I did lose 1 pound to 206, which means I've lost 20 since Feb. 9th.

By next Thursday I hope to break through the 205 barrier.

    I hope everyone lost.

  8. I just did the 7 nighter on the Summit with stops at Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maartin and St. Thomas. I have all the daily newsletter things if anyone needs info from them, and I am happy to answer any questions you might have.

How did the ship look and function, in general? I've heard some negatives about rust, worn carpets, general shabbiness, that I hope were fixed in its recent dry dock.

How was the food, especially the main dining room and the buffet?

  9. My clothes are too big too but I don't have time to shop for new. So, after washing I'm drying them on hot. That has shrunk them some. Some things though are just too big.

Better too big than too small!:)

For those of you who remember from last weeks weigh in, I told a story about how my cat tried to kill me.... Well I finally went to the doctor since my foot wasn't getting any better. Turns out I have a fractured tibia!!! So now I'm sporting a moon boot and crutches.

Very sorry to hear this. I hope it doesn't interfere with any travel plans.

  10. April showers brings May Flowers

Aprils loss's brings May smiles by the Hours

I hope that's the case with me because we leave for our cruise on May 1!

I tried hard this past week and it paid off - a 4 pound loss, down to 207, a total of 19 pounds. I've had to buy some new clothes and it feels great. Only 12 pounds away from being "normal" weight, though 22 pounds from my goal.

I hope everyone lost weight this week.

  11. Be careful of the Easter Bunny..He's so nice, cute and he's a dandy

Eat the hard boiled eggs he brings and not the candy

    Thanks for the reminder. :)

After getting down to 210 for most of the week I overate last night, so this morning I was back up to 211. Drat.

Still lost a pound for the week, down a total of 15 lbs. since Feb. 9th, but I could have done better.

I hope everyone lost. It's always a struggle for those of us who like to eat and drink.
