  1. Hi. I don't have the answer to your question but I'm curious what the benefit is to having NCL choose a hotel for you? We chose a hotel largely based on on what other cruisers here had to say about their stays. Denise
  2. Can someone help me with a little math 🙂 We're in a Club Balcony for 16-day transatlantic. Both of us are Platinum. So do we get a total of 4 bags of free laundry - 2 for Club Balcony perk and 2 for Platinum perk? I guess my question is, do we qualify for any additional bags because the cruise is long? We're coming onboard with dirty laundry from a pre-cruise hotel stay lol. Thanks! Denise
  3. I was concerned because we have a lot of the free "orange tests" with expired dates. But a little research and I learned that the expiration dates have been given an extended shelf life so it shouldn't be a problem. Here's the list: https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/coronavirus-covid-19-and-medical-devices/home-otc-covid-19-diagnostic-tests#list
  4. The question was asked but overlooked... Did On Point verify or care about the expiration date on the test? Like others, I have a bunch of the orange iHealth tests that are a few months beyond the expiration date. Thanks. Denise
  5. Thanks everyone. We booked this cruise kind of late and many of the on-line dining slots are picked over. So I'll just keep the 4 I have and do my best to tweak once onboard. Denise
  6. We're booked on the Escape Transatlantic which is 16 nights. So that entitles us to 3 dinners with the dining package. We are also Platinum, so that's 2 more dinners. I have 4 of the dinners booked. When I try to book a 5th, NCL wants to charge me. Any tips on this? Thanks! Denise
  7. Hi, thanks for replying. Our choices are Delta in Atlanta, or AA if we opt for ORD or DFW. United is IAH. All are similar prices so the layover airport is really the deciding factor. I am tracking the pricing of a few through Google flights. Denise
  8. We are arriving at the Manhattan cruise terminal following a transatlantic cruise In November. We need to get from New York to Tucson. We have pretty much decided to depart out of LGA. Obviously there are zero non-stop flights but there are many one-stop options. Assuming all of them have similar departure times and layover times (we have plenty of time to make connections), does anyone have opinions on layovers at ORD vs ATL vs DFW? Where would 2-1/2 hours be least painful? We are familiar with ATL and comfortable with it, but it's Delta and tends to be pricier. Every time we've been routed through DFW we've had issues. I know nothing about Chicago/ORD. We do have a fourth option with United via IAH if anyone wants to chime in on that airport. I realize this is a huge open-ended question, but I appreciate any feedback from all you frequent flyers! Denise
  9. We are on a transatlantic cruise, arriving Manhattan cruise ship terminal on Thursday, Nov 17. I have a few different flight choices, none are that great but "it is what it is". All of the flight options are after 1:00 pm. The airport choices are the usual... JFK, EWR or LGA. So based on airport alone, is there a preferred departure airport? Thanks! ~Denise
  10. We're sailing the Bliss out of Seattle and have the same problem... flight has been changed a few times. I've been reading the West Coast departure board. General consensus is that any flights before 11:00 am would be stressful and iffy. It also depends on if you have TSA-Precheck to speed things up at the airport. Seatac's port valet service is highly recommended, but it's only available for flights departing after twelve noon.
  11. thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. I've been on these forums for over 16 years so I'm familiar with searching. I see the key word you used is "refundable". I have no idea if stockholder credit is refundable or non-refundable so it wouldn't have occurred to me to use that keyword. I am used to CCL on Princess so I'm not familiar with NCLH on Norwegian. I do not own the stock, thinking of buying on the dip for our upcoming cruise. So I still have the same questions. "Will it cover any upcharges at a bar or in a restaurant? Can I use it in the casino for gambling? Can I apply it to upgrading our internet plan? What about the spa?"
  12. Thank you. I'm still confused on what it can be used for. Will it cover any upcharges at a bar or in a restaurant? Can I use it in the casino for gambling? Can I apply it to upgrading our internet plan? What about the spa? Interested in the experiences of others. Thanks!! Denise
  13. I posted this question in the stockholder thread and I guess it got buried, so trying again. Can someone clarify what the shareholder obc can be used for? I'm assuming not gratuities and not casino. Appreciate the feedback. Thanks! Denise
  14. Slightly off topic. Can someone clarify what the shareholder obc can be used for? I'm assuming not gratuities and not casino. Appreciate the feedback. Thanks! Denise
  15. We are booked in a Club Balcony on the Bliss in Sept. We were also planning on getting the weekly spa pass. It was $249 for the longest time and when I looked last week, it also went up to $299! Thanks for your post! I'm also curious if there's a chance it will fluctuate. ~Denise
  16. Very thorough review! Thanks for sharing. ~Denise
