Enjoyed our couple of days in Paris and last night in Barcelona. Ready to get on board. Finally figured out Funchal, still no idea on why we’re doing for Malaga.
It’s our second anniversary today.

I’m only frustrated with it because I deliberately booked Grand Marina and now it’s probably a tad too far to walk

It actually sounds like that excursion might not have been too bad...I've just had historically bad experiences on organized snorkeling tours. Did you enjoy it? Feel like it was worth it for the cost? What was the group size like?
thank you!
Really loved it. You’re able to get some clear space. I think there was 20 of us.

Is that an Australian food or a Texas or neither ?
Tater Tots. American. In Australia they’d be potato gems.

Tots. They’re the right balance of potato and crispy

Forgive my ignorance regarding cruise lines’ private islands.
my original experience was DCL Castaway Cay, where most of the food and beach activities were free and excursions were add on.
I'm looking at a handful of cruises that stop by “Private Islands” (Half Moon Cay, Princess Cays, Coco Cay.) And I haven’t even started to look at NCL and MSC offerings. It seems like close to nothing is free on any of these? No food anyway. Are the beaches at least no charge?
is Mahogany Bay a Carnival owned beach in Honduras? Is there a primer anywhere?
Thank you.
Plenty of free food on coco cay. No doubt RCCL advertises the stuff they charge you for but there’s plenty of free stuff. We snorkeled and that was free.

That is what we have been thinking about the timing. And I thought about Uluru/Ayers after I posted it.
Thanks for the input.
No worries. It’s theoretically possible but honestly not worth the stress, if something goes wrong you’d miss your flight and it’s almost certainly with an airline that would not be helpful.

I’d not recommend it. I’d also not recommend calling Uluru Ayer’s Rock, that is an outdated name.

We immediately booked our TA on Virgin while on board. So definitely loved Virgin although never done a TA on them.

There was some animal life there. I did the shipwreck excursion that you don’t like so I can’t speak much of Bimini. Didn’t have to wear a life vest on that excursion and was never kicked by anyone.
There were lots of rays right by the dock.

Really enjoyed the snorkeling at coco cay with their work to create environments for the sea life.
My favorite excursion was from Virgin’s beach club. A shark dive and a visit to the Sapona wreck

I make the odd choice and take Brightline

I’m a big fan of Brightline. We used it to get from FLL to Miami cruise port. It’s a short Uber to the train station and then even closer to the terminal (you could spit to it in a high wind). If you do first class you get a lounge at the station, drinks and snacks onboard, and a free ride that the cruise terminal is actually in range for (although they sometimes won’t give you a ride there). They might be switching this to an Uber coupon both ways, which honestly is better because you could go beyond the limits and get a discount.

Could it be that the Transatlantic just has more engaged people. I’d be surprised if these were very full based on what I know about Transatlantics but what do I know this is my first.

Hi, I'm confused.... new to this... how do you use a referral if the trip is already booked by both sides? Doesnt that mean everyone could just refer each other and get endless loot? thanks.
You can call or chat and give the name and booking number and it will refer. If you booked before the person who you’re saying is referring you it won’t work. We have multiple on our upcoming but if I log in to my account now it’s only giving one batch of credit, that said the app is notoriously wonky.

The $5 charge is dropped if you buy an add on costing at least $5!
QTC
What are the add ons?

Depends on where you’re coming from. For us in Tampa it’s $100 and six hours more to fly to FLL instead

What is everyone looking forward to the most on the Scarlet Lady?
I’m excited for Razzle Dazzle. All the food honestly

All I read into this is mermaid themed stuff happening

Disclosure: I work here.
But Wise offers a debit card in several countries (sorry Canadian residents) that allows you to hold money in multiple currencies. I’ve used it in Germany, Estonia and Australia and it was cheaper than any of my more traditional cards

Summary of new Virgin Changes
in Virgin Voyages
Posted
I’ve loved Virgin Voyages and have one more booked, but I’ve long thought that I’d probably get priced out. That said there’s some Caribbean sailings that aren’t so bad, so maybe for special occasions every now and again.
