  1. Thank God. It is now item #32 on the prohibited items list.
  2. Complaining about winning and using a free cruise. LMAO. First World problem for sure.
  3. I would ditch the Club balcony and opt for a mid ship balcony and use BWI as an airport and fly Southwest round trip
  4. I stand corrected njhorseman. I looked at the screenshot the OP provided of the Pearl's voyage which does enter the Canal, albeit a partial transit.
  5. Passport is required. Your itinerary will take you through the Gatun locks and into Lake Gatun as well as a port of call in Colon. Either way you look at it it is a Canal cruise
  6. Little known fact about walkie talkies. When on a steel ship and reception starts to fail, YELL INTO THE MICROPHONE. It will help dramatically.
  7. LOL. I know people like you who will believe everything they read on the internet. You have 10 cruises under your belt so you should "be in the know" so to speak. Every ship you've been on had a capacity exceeding 3000pax and up to 6000 pax. Was that a concern for you then?
  8. This is incorrect. Your DSC will not increase. Refer to the T&Cs of the upgrade bid program to further answer the question. The only thing, with 1 exception, that will change is the room. The 1 exception is if booked in a spa suite, the passenger will lose the access portion to the spa.
  9. Just off the Joy. Gold and above were directed to go to the Q restaurant where your latitude status was verified and then an NCL employee escorted us directly to a tender, bypassing the queue via a different hallway. WorkEd well and there zero arguments about joining an already formed queue
  10. Haven't seen a good "Do I need a passport" thread in awhile either
  11. If one is flying domestically, a passport is not required. Middle name is not, and never has been, an airline or TSA issue
  12. Not sure why this is a hot topic lately. It does not matter if your middle name is not on your reservation. You must have your full, legal 1st and last on your reservation and that is what is put on the manifest. If your name is Robert, don't reserve your ticket as Bob.
  13. Clarence posted a video on an NCL site the other day saying he was flying to Italy to join the Prima crew.
  14. It’s called a downline disembarkation. It can be done, in the past, if the country your friend disembarks to allows it. Covid protocols have mucked up many of travel plans and what was once commonplace is no longer allowed. RCI suspended this practice on all ships a couple of years ago. If NCL allows this and a fee is involved from the pending country, you can bet that fee will be passed down to your friend. You won't get a definitive answer on this forum. Call NCL for guidance. Can you post the progress/answer for your friend back on this forum?
  15. You will need to bring an inexpensive universal remote and program it to the cabin TV so you can change the input to recognize new device(s).
  16. Has the Epic been retrofitted with fuel oil scrubbers? If not, this could be the reason for the temporary closure of those facilities. The scrubbers are installed to the rear of the stacks and the sports deck and the Posh and would be in that construction bullseye.
  17. You can purchase an assortment of Cuban cigars at the habanacuba cigar shop in San Juan. Quite a distance from the cruise port and you must taxi. They do have a website.
