  1. Yes we did all that. But don't think that mattered as my husband can sign into the app on my phone no issues. It's something with my account on the app (i.e. my account doesn't work on my phone or on his phone). And I can sign in to the cruise planner on the computer no problem.
  2. I was fine until Friday but since then i cannot sign in to the app. I am fine signing in to cruise planner on the computer. My husband can sign in to the app using his account on my phone. If I try to sign in to the app on my phone...or his phone...it spins and spins looking up our reservations. Anyone else? We are on a cruise end of December and I am the main account holder so need to have this resolved.(e.g. My husband doesn't see our kids reservation as they are in a separate room)
  3. Thanks so much! I saw the "Lets add it now" but figured that was just for booked cruises.
  4. Wondering if they removed this option from the Royal App, or if I'm just not seeing it. You used to be able to view the cruise planner for any cruise by returning to the main menu and selecting a ship and then date. When I try now when in my own booking, if I select the person and then "Select a different cruise", it only lets me open the planner for any booked cruises. Did they remove this ability? Or there is some other way to get there that I am not seeing?
  5. Thanks for the reply! Will look up where Adrenaline Beach is. Sounds like a good location. And thanks for the warning about the rocks. Are all areas at Labadee like that? We have an 18 and 14 year old.
  6. This may be a bit of an odd question but was thinking about logistics for our upcoming visit to Labadee. We signed our kids up for the Tail Coaster ride early in the morning at 10am. As a comparison, I know that CoCo Cay loungers go fast so wondering if it's the same at Labdee and have some questions. Questions What is the best free area for beach time? Is it near the Tail Coaster? Will we have issues getting loungers? Or should we try and go a bit early to grab a couple? (Also don't want to be a chair hog...guessing the Tail Coaster doesn't take long though). Originally I was thinking we would just go to the Tail Coaster when we arrive but also want to make sure we have somewhere to sit during the day that is decent. Thanks.
  7. Anyone been to Wonderland on Wonder? Sounds like the experience is different by ship. We have it booked for the experience (food seems a bit weird but wanted to try it at least once). Only dinner is offered. Curious what ships offer it at lunch?
  8. Thanks for the note. I actually didn't realize that from Galveston as assumed it was similar to Florida. We've cruised on Anthem out of New Jersey before so not a huge deal for us (mind you, Anthem was made for cold weather).
  9. Lol...thanks. I did do a quick price check on NCL, butt only their most recent ship is released and so it was pricey too. Can consider MCL too. However, we just hit Diamond ourselves so feels like we should enjoy the perks. 🙂
  10. Exactly! (Your last statement) It sounds lovely always having a view of the ocean and outside. Funny enough, one of my favorite things to do on a sea day is to just walk laps (with the ocean going by in the background/next to you). Guess it will be pretty short laps on Rhapsody...lol
  11. Thanks for the note. We actually booked 2 interiors (due to huge cruise price increase overall) and noticed they are tiny. We looked at a single spacious ocean view, which is a decent size, and for around the same price. However, a shared sofa bed doesn't work for our kids as they will be older. Plus figured even if small, we get 2 bathrooms with 2 rooms.
  12. So true. Actually my commute to work is 1hr. 🙂 I think we're just spoiled with Miami and Ft Lauderdale. Will keep your tips in mind if we end up with booking Harmony.
  13. Thanks so much for sharing the other side and experience on Rhapsody. I discussed with DH and he feels strongly they will be fine. As you say, they know what to expect. They will be 16 and 20 so can just enjoy the basics. This cruise has 2 ports we've been too but I think if we be sure to do something at each, plus a new port of Belize (which sounds nice), they'll be fine. And maybe they will meet others too as you mentioned. Appreciate the feedback.
  14. From the comments, considering booking a room (we always do refundable) and then make a decision when short cruises are released. Gonna get so sick of the Roatan, Costa Maya Cozumel itinerary (minus CoCo Cay on this one). Also dates might make a difference as for Harmony we'd have to select xmas cruise as we can't return on a Sunday before school starts up again (i.e. as in new years cruise). For Harmony, anyone know if the sofa beds are similar to Symphony where they are more of a trundle bed? Or are they like on Voyager class where they are a double flat mattress?
  15. Thank you! This helps and good to know to search hotels also in Texas City.
  16. Thinking about it...maybe we should book Harmony too as prices only go up? I think Royal doesn't care if you have more than one booking as it just means another booking for them on the deposit. So many unknowns...I suppose too another option is to forget March and just book 1 family holiday for now (at least a cruise). Not sure.
  17. Thanks. We tend to book direct, unless no option but I think I saw direct looking at this year. No physical issues in our party, but thanks for the tip. 1hour away sounds far, but I guess that's not much different from MCO to Port Canaveral.
  18. PS - On the flip side, we booked Oasis for March 2026. In this case, absolute worst 3 ports ever, but we booked for the ship (and price was right). Also not sure. Sadly, prices have gone insane.
  19. Yeah, you can see that we typically cruise on the bigger ships with the extras. Our kids will be older though and we did ask their opinions. Am definitely keeping an eye out though and esp when shorter cruises are released. But Rhapsody...not sure. We also like to cruise 2x a year (March without our older one) and then all of us. So also thinking if we drop March break. We are compromising on stateroom choice too.
  20. Yeah, looked at Adventure and it was 8-9K CAD depending on the room (for 4 of us). We did bite the bullet and booked Icon for Dec 2024 at 8k when it came out and that's way too much for our liking but did for just this one opportunity (and price now is around 12K so we got a "deal").
  21. Thanks for the feedback on Galveston. Wish we could drive as that would make a big difference, but our kids barely managed the drive to New Jersey (never again was their comment) and I have back issues where I can't sit too long so not an option for anything further than NJ.
  22. Looking at the new released cruises for Dec 2025 and yikes. Prices are insane. We love Royal though and this is the only time we can travel as a family with all of us as our older one is in university. Our kids will be 16 and 20 by then. Here's the Dilemma, which I know no one can tell us which one, but I have a few questions. Two cruises we are considering: a) Harmony cruise out of Galveston - same Roatan, Costa Maya, etc ports that we keep doing b) Rhapsody cruise out of Tampa - includes Belize, which is new for us Questions 1. Never flown out of Galveston, but it seems like a bit of a red flag to me. How inconvenient of a port is it? We are flying from Toronto, Ontario. I do see direct flights when I check this Dec, but thinking more of the airport to hotel to port....plus weather concerns with fog. 2. I know Rhapsody is the smallest ship of them all, but is it too small? We asked our kids if they are fine without the bells and whistles and they said as long as there is a Windjammer and a pool, gym, they are fine. I did check a cruise compass and they still have the daily activities, which we do enjoy, plus an evening show. (And we never get internet, but may purchase it for them on this one when we have down time) We have booked Rhapsody for now as refundable, mostly as it's still a Royal ship and the price is our past "normal" and acceptable to us. Harmony is the next cheapest but it's 2K more (Promenade room) than Rhapsody (2 interiors). Harmony is a bit out of our comfort zone for price, especially as we need to add flight costs and it's xmas time (and university changes the extra spending money). Of course, on the flip side, Harmony has the slides, abyss, rock wall, etc , is bigger, more included venues, etc. We haven't been on either ship and always prefer a new one to us if it's an option (but have been on other Oasis class ships). I know that short cruises are being released in Feb or so, so will definitely check then and if we find a 4 or 5 day or a newer ship, may switch, but pricing has already gone up on both of the above so wanted to book something....even though they were literally just released. Thoughts on the above?
  23. APDMOM, excited to see you on here. Love your reviews, and Symphony is an amazing ship I'm sure you will enjoy!
  24. I know we are not in the majority but i agree. First, Aqua 80 is the best show on Oasis, and the best Aqua show of the ones that I've seen overall. But I also really enjoyed Cats. Saw it once + the first half of another showing (and only couldn't see the whole thing since had to get ready for dinner). The cast that we saw is amazing, set done well, costumes great, etc. To me, the trick was reading / researching the story beforehand, plus I learned some of the music.
