  1. As long as people keep paying the prices, it'll keep going up
  2. We were there in 2018 I think. We thought spending $450 was a lot. RC realized, likely due to cabanas on Coco Cay, that they were woefully underpriced.
  3. But calling it a "private peninsula" isn't nearly as marketable.
  4. Like going to Red Lobster and asking them to go to Outback next door for a steak
  5. Casual. No need to dress up anymore even on formal night. Just go enjoy your cruise.
  6. That's not what RC's permission letter says though. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/minor-traveling-without-parent-or-guardian-form.pdf
  7. All I can think of is Pee Wee Herman asking to see the basement of the Alamo.
  8. The OP is asking about a permission letter for an 18 yr old, which is not needed, despite the 18 yr old not being old enough to be the oldest on a reservation.
  9. 18 is not a minor, that's the point. No permission letter is needed for 18-20. Just 18-20 can't book that cabin.
  10. It's not conflicting. If you're under 21 you can't book a room by yourself. If you're under 18 you should take the unaccompanied minor form.
  11. That just says the 18 yr old can't sail alone. It doesn't say the 18 yr old needs permission from his parents. On the consent form RC provides, minor is 0-17 yrs old
  12. Room stewards have among the lowest salaries on a ship. The money savings will be minimal. But it will make staffing easier.
  13. I think sometimes people are more upset at the concept of change than what the change actually entails.
  14. Sounds like a business trying to run a business.
  15. Half the posts on this board would disappear then
  16. There have been dozens of posts on the new menu.
  17. I'll be curious to see how full those are since it's a bit of a hike to get there for most.
  18. Actually it was updated within the last year.
  19. I can see where beach lovers would be enticed by a cruise that only hits private islands, but to me that may be the worst itinerary ever.
  20. No, just LNG. Fuel cells are a long way off from practicality at a larger scale. Viking has them on some new ships, but will be used in limited manners (like the fjords). MSC has a couple larger ships with H fuel cells, but will only be able to use them in ports.
  21. You're better off with bringing your own fold flat one, but when my son was younger we asked the room steward for one on a couple cruises and only once did they not find one (and the room steward apologized).
  22. I see a cruise that puts me in a 2 BR GS for about that price, too. People complain about rising prices, but there are legit good deals out there if you book early.
