  1. Are those prices in US$ or Euro?

EDIT: Never mind! I ran it through Google Translate and got my answer.

As of May 2015 prices in dollars plus 18% service charge (increase from 15 to 18 per cent from 1 February 2015). The service charge is automatically added to the bill. Extra tip is therefore not necessary.
  2. At first, I was disappointed that we would not receive this amenities on our upcoming cruises where we qualify for Sky Class. After reading the list of benefits, I'm less than impressed.

When you compare this program to the former suites "Enhanced Program", this no program can be summarized as "So What". There is certainly no reason to raise fares for these 'amenities'.

I certainly don't think it's a good value to pay the new increased prices based on what you're getting. I'll make future bookings with that in mind.

  3. I see the Star tier will have a Nespresso coffee maker. Do you think the lower tiers will continue to have the current coffee maker and tea kettle?

Wouldn't that be a kick in the teeth to those in JS who lose their coffee/tea maker as part of their "upgrade"?

Royal Caribbean just responded to a post on their official FB page...they have no plans to implement the program on any other ships.

But I'm willing to bet that they'll still raise the price on the other ships.

  4. That is the route we take to get to the port. You'll be fine with those directions.

Thank you for the confirmation. :)

Keep the radio turned to 1010 or 880 AM radio when you are within range

I'll make a note of that...

If you have a Smart Phone the best thing is to download the Waze app. It alerts you to hazards, accidents, etc. We have it set to "fastest way" to get somewhere and it has come in handy many times (not going to the port) in our travels.

The DW and I have both used Waze in the past (we were both "royalty") but it's been a while since I've used it. Maybe I'll load it back up on the phone...

  5. So you don't think that it's a bit odd that a poster that puts up a post ending with "Feel free to ask any questions you might have regarding differences between the two lines", then doesn't answer any questions after 4 days?

Especially since the OP has logged in since then, but apparently has avoided coming back to this thread.

  6. I will probably get flamed for this but my take on the matter is that people who get up early to get lounges in the pool area or tie up lounges all day by never leaving except for the said "acceptable reasons" for leaving are almost as inconsiderate as the chair hogs.

I won't flame you, but I do disagree. If somebody is "actively" using the chair, I have zero problem if they want to sit in it the entire day.

There's a big difference between somebody using the chair for a long period of time and somebody "reserving" a chair for their exclusive use that they (maybe) eventually plan to come back to after a long period of time, letting it sit idle and unused.

  7. Carol or any other Cape Liberty guru:

We'll be driving in from the west, specifically from northeast PA via I-80. I know this question has probably been answered, but I can't seem to find the answer.

Ye Olde Google Maps is suggesting the following route:

    1. I-80 East to I-287 South
    2. I-287 South to NJ Route 24 East
    3. NJ Route 24 East to I-78 East
    4. I-78 East to Exit 14A

From Exit 14A, we would follow your excellent directions.

Is this route correct, or do you suggest something else?

  8. I've seen it done, well, perhaps not by a cruiser, but I have seen royal remove stuff and have someone occupy the chair. On a couple of occasions another passenger has come back hours later and raised hell. The person on the receiving end was very intimidated and distraught.

I would laugh in the chair hog's face. What's he going to do, other than complain and moan?

  9. Lol, It's a small world! There will be four of us in our group of my immediate family on the cruise... However, we are joining a large group of casino / golf folks on this cruise... Should be fun!

    Kyle

Yeah, there's a bunch of people on our Roll Call going to the golf tournament too.

Not me. Federal law prohibits me from playing golf due to safety reasons to everybody in the vicinity.
