Did you just price out a balcony and figured it out that way? We have early saver and our cruis is in August but we haven't found any price drops. Feel like I might be doing something wrong. TY

Yes, This was a family cruise. My 3 year old GD and my 11 year old GS. I don't think my daughter kept any info either. I can tell you the orientation for kids camp was at 5pm, not long after the safety drill, in the Rome lounge (deck 3 forward).
Little princess had a few times she didn't want to stay but that was likely because she didn't want to not be with her aunts. Each time she was picked up she didn't want to leave camp. So you know she had a good time and felt secure. GS made a couple of buddies the first day and was good for the trip. We allowed him to sign himself out only because of the scavenger hunt. He knew to stay at camp until someone came to pick up little sister. There were a few breaks in open times on sea days and camp closed at 10pm. After 10 was night owls for fee service. Price wasn't bad at $6.95 an hour per child.
To those that are looking for funtime/schedules, we are frequent cruisers and know events change depending upon itinerary. But, again, I am happy to answer question.
Thank you. My main concern is the orientation for the kids clubs. My son is 12..so think he would be in a different club than your Grandson. Do you know if the orientation times were all the same? Thank you..very helpful. This will be our first cruise .

I got off Saturday (7/4). I didn't keep my fun times but have a fair memory.
Don't mean to but in...but am curious about kid stuff. Did you have kids with you?

On my first cruise I brought a small point-and-shoot which I sometimes took to dinner. If you read reviews in this forum you'll see some have many photos of the food.
You can use your phone for photography, keeping it in Airplane Mode until you get into port and find a wireless network to upload.
Nowadays I bring my Pentax digital SLR and several lenses to photograph the excursions but it's too big to take in the dining room.
So bring whatever camera or phone you have, and enjoy your first cruise!
If I put my cell on airplane mode that will keep all roaming data and calls off right?
-
Thank you all. We have a huge really nice camera..but not interested in dragging it with. Think I will bring our small point and shoot and maybe look for a small waterproof camera. Thank you

I was planning to use my phone for all my cruise photos/port photos. Was planning to text most photos to my husband. After reading about charges..lol..I am going to skip that plan. It is best to bring a regular camera? Disposable? What do you usually bring? This is our first cruise so I for sure want to take a ton of photos. Also...is it rude to take a camera to dinner? I would like to take a few photos of dessert etc..lol..to show my husband.
Thank you for any help/info

We tried our iphones for one day at sea. No calls just text. It was about $32 for each of us. To send photos we used data and roaming. We just wait until we get home to use our phones.
Very confused.. I would like to send photos to my husband who isn't going with us. So there is an additional charge over what you you pay for your cell service?
What if you add international roaming to your plan? Does the cruise line charge you no matter what your plan is?

Me either. I will not spend $1.00 in Mexico.
Then why would you take a cruise that goes to Mexico?

from Carnival about our upcoming cruise regarding a "Port Sequence Change." We're cruising in October on the Triumph and we will now go to Progreso first (minus an hour) and then Cozumel (plus 2 extra hours).
It says "due to operational consideration." I wonder if this has anything to do with the survey/question JH posted about having more port time in Cozumel. Anyone else get anything similar?
I found this interesting, and am super happy about having the extra time in Cozumel!
I would love this but we cruise in August so maybe it is just after that? Sounds nice though.

This is offered only on some ships..right?

The Early Saver Rate itself disappears a number of months before your cruise. But if you're booked Early Saver you can (from the time you booked) price match to any rate that you're eligible for (Senior Rate if you're a senior, Resident Rate for your state of residency, past guest rate if you're a past guest, military if you're military qualified under Carnival's rules....) up to several days before sailaway. Note that these rates aren't offered all the time or on all cruises. You remain Early Saver and can continue to price match any of the rates you're eligible for.
You can't price match to rates that are for "Guarantee Cabins" (where Carnival assigns the cabin - you do not select the cabin), except that ONCE you can give-up your assigned Early Saver Cabin for a Carnival assigned Guarantee cabin in a Guarantee Rate, but you lose some price-matching flexibility thereafter.

Thank you...I appreciate the help

We are taking our first cruise in August. We booked the early saver rate. I have been watching the fare viewer on the Carnival site..but there is no longer an early saver option. So..what rate do I look up for price reductions? The price seems to be going down on the fare viewer but up in the mock booking. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you

Thank you all. I have already done that..but was thinking I needed a piece of paper or something along with IDS etc to get on the cruise. Thanks so much!!!! :D

Our cruise isn't until August but checking things on the Carnival site. It says we need a sail and sign application? I'm not seeing anything on our booking for that? I assuming it is either called something else or as a first time cruiser I am missing something ? Thanks for any hel..just want to make sure we have everything.

We are taking the same cruise in August. Was it easy to get to Mr. Sanchos? How much did it cost to get there? What were the reviews about Progesso that were bad? Any tips about the ship? This will be our first cruise..thank you!!!
-
the water is not listed anymore...
Just checked..still there and at the $2.99 price.
-
Anyone know how much it is normally? Just in case this is an oops? Thank you
-
First time cruiser..how does this work? Will it be in your room when you arrive?? Thank you
-
We are cruising on the Triumph in August..sadly no rooms were available for 3 people. I would take it if offered,,,have fun!!!
-
Mingle with the locals, if you want a Towel, T-shirt or Beer...
Actually, stay on the ship, nothing to see at this port unless you go on a tour.
I'm really looking forward to going to Cozumel...bummer there is nothing to do.
-
Thanks for the review. Is it just me or are the fun times upside down? Any way to fix that? We are going on the Triumph in August

We are booked in a 4j on the glory in September. That category was all sold out so I hadn't been able to get recent price drops...
This evening when checking fare viewer there are more available so I was able to get a $100 price drop!
Yesssssss!
I am soo jealous..we sail in August..plenty of rooms in our category available and no price drops. But congrats to you :)
