  1. Yes, they all enter together. Sometimes if the groups are really small they will combine them. Don't worry about them being separated. If they are unable to make friends with other kids for whatever reason, the staff will befriend them. They will have a great time. No one gets left out.

Be sure they go the very first evening when all the "getting to know you" games are played.

Thank you for your reply, I think it will make psychological difference to them if they are both going in the same door, We normally cruise DCL and the boys have never been split into age groups, but 9 out of 10 times when you would collect them they would be playing separately. But I know if I suggested that they went in separately there would be war. You got to love kids and the way their minds work

I will be sure to look out for the getting to know you games

    Thanks again

  2. Hello

I a, just wondering if the kids clubs on the Epic all have the same entrance and if it is once the kids are then inside that they are separated into the different age groups

This is going to be our very first cruise that my two boys will be separated due to age difference and am starting to think this might stop them going to the clubs.

We are cruising mid November and I can't imagine that there is going to to very many children on board since it's school term throughout Europe, but from what I have read NCL are not flexible with ages in the groups

    Thanks

  3. Hey everyone

I intend to take full advantage of the UBP when on board the Epic next month, I am just wondering if you can order breakfast cocktails such as mimosa or Bellinis at the buffet or can you only do this in the MDRs

    Thanks in advance

  4. Hello and thanks for the reply, to be honest I would not feel comfortable with a self drive, They drive on the opposite side of the road than what I am used to and given that I would only be for a few hours I feel that I would just be stressing myself unnecessarily

I have read several mentions about a bus to Central Livorno, and then the walk to the rain station, just trying to weigh up the cost of that versus a taxi straight to the train station

  5. Hello

I am planning on doing a self tour to Pisa when we dock in Livorno next month as I believe it is a simple and quick train journey to Pisa.

I am just wondering if any one has done this lately and can offer some tips and also if any knows if NCL offer a shuttle bus into Livorno so I can get to the train station easily

    Thanks in advacne

  6. Thanks for the replies, I think I will just ask for one and see what happens. The next question is do they actually know how to make one. :)

I remember asking on a Disney Cruise for a Baileys coffee in one of the MDRs and was brought a cup of filter coffee with a shot of Bailey beside it :(

  7. This might seem rude, but there are multiple threads on this subject. Use the search button at the top of this page.

No offence taken, the search function is normally my first port of call, but when I searched the results where all very dated, we all know how much NCL has changed over the last number of months and years, hence why I was looking for some recent experiences

  8. Hello

I am just wondering if any body has any recent Gluten Free experiences onboard the Epic that they would like to share. I am due to sail NCL for the gist time this November and I have no idea how they handle gluten free meal requests for breakfasts, lunches and dinner. Do I need to inform them of my requests before hand and so on

I hope someone can help and advise

    Thanks

  9. I've had Ncl order a case of redbridge and have it on the ship for my cruises. Just call your PCC/ travel agent or Ncl directly and they will assist you. Then the day you board you will get a call from the food & beverage director asking which bars you would like to be stocked with Redbridge. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

And there is nothing like an ice cold gluten free beer on a sea day in the Caribbean. Enjoy!

Eta: please don't drink Heineken or Amstel light. They are NOT gluten free. But I'm sure you already knew that.

Thank you, Can you recall what the cost was? We got the UBP as part of our booking promo but I am not sure they would be willing to give me Gluten Free Beer as part of that.

We will be sailing out of Barcelona the home of Estrella Daura, So NCL have easy access to GF Beer

    Thanks

  10. Thank you for your reply but unfortunately none of those beers you mention are gluten free and suitable for people with coeliac disease.

For the majority of coeliacs drinking them would ultimately result in spending quality vacation time in a restroom with stomach pains and cramps

  11. You only have to pay the taxes while you are in Spanish waters. Once you are out of Spanish waters the taxes go away.

Thank you, i guess where NCL fail is that the dont bring it immediately to yiur attention that you are responsible for sales tax / vat if it's applicable to the drink you order because the UBP does not include that in its cost

I guess then in some cases there truly is no such thing as a free drink
