  1. MY opinion...... take a taxi, stay in hotel near the port like the Hilton. Its on the river for a nice view, next to the street car line so you don't have to walk as much, across the street from Harrahs Casino for good food. Of course, all of NOLA has good food. Take street car to Cafe DuMonde, and its just a few blocks walk to Bourbon. Streets in the French Quarter are narrow, and parking is at a premium. Your mileage may vary.

  2. If you are concerned about complying with size dimensions, this is the cooler that I use:

I have used this cooler for years, and it works great - no leakage, and keeps things icy cold for about a day. Along with your room steward, you can also get ice from any bar that sells buckets of beer, or from the ice machines on lido (make sure you use a cup to fill and not fill the cooler directly). The backpack cooler is a must for me for port days at the beach!

Does this cooler lay fairly flat for packing in the luggage?

    Thanks

  3. Just hovered the mouse and got this pop-up:

    Now hold on a minute!

We’re still setting up shore excursion inventory in this port of call. While most excursions will become available for pre-sale 120 days prior to sail date, rare exceptions may apply depending on the port of call and the time of year.

Rest assured we are working diligently to secure a line-up of only the best shore excursions offered in this port of call.

We have 159 days to go, so I guess I got my answer.

    Much thanks!!

  4. I was thinking to just go ahead and get the FTTF, but I assume because it is not showing under the excursions for Port Canaveral that they have sold out of them.....being that we leave on 4/11.

We are causing out of PC in September, and FTTF is not available for our cruise either. I called Carnival about it today, and was told either sold out, or not yet available. big help
