  1. I used my Samsung android phone. Wife used her iPhone. Both worked great, after download Microsoft Teams app. Proctor video & audio came in clear, full screen, with my video in smaller screen in corner...
  2. I sorta miss the good 'ol days of just locking away the cell phone in the safe & enjoy the cruise off the grid, until we reach port. But with the adult kids wanna to stay in touch with various activities, now we gotta lug around the phone while onboard. Since our 22 cabins are all forward on decks 8 & 9, may go back to whiteboard on daughter's (group's activity director) cabin door...
  3. We also need to test in Vancouver, & then again at sea in Alaska day before flying back to US. Just flew back from Amsterdam 2 days ago, & we brought 4 of the free iHealth test kits we got from USPS, as well as 3 Emed kits for backup. We used 2 of the free kit, wife & I, got proctored by rapidtestandtrace.com in hotel room, $20 each. Worked extremely well. Liked it better than the Emed. 10 minutes for procedures, 15 minute wait for negative results, proctor emailed negative results PDF immediately, confirmed that we got email before signing off. So we bought & booked 4 more proctored tests from them for our cruise later in the month. Will bring 6 of those free tests with us, as well as 3 Emeds for backup...
  4. We are a group of 40+ traveling to Alaska next month. Been communicating via email, texts, & WhatsApp. But once on board, what's the best way to communicate with group, assuming not everyone will buy the wifi package? Heard that RCCL app has a $2/day chat feature. So $14/person for the 7 night cruise seems reasonable. Will that suffice to replace WhatsApp once on board...? Thanks,
  5. Figured AC temp is about the same from cabin to MDR whether it's Carib, Med, or Alaska, so we'll dress the same also...
  6. Thanks for the post. We'll be first time Diamond on our Alaska cruise next month. Didn't see it on RC website, but good to know that I'll get 1 free day of internet & my wife gets 1 too. Since our Tmobile covers Vancouver & all Alaska port days, Great for me to use 1 for 1st sea day, & then to hers for last sea day, to do our Emed proctored session to fly back to US... Thanks
  7. We've order the 3 pack for $99. No tax & free shipping to TX. Arrived in 3 days... https://store.optum.com/shop/products/abbott-binaxNOW-COVID-19-ag-emed-at-home-test-kit-3-pack/
  8. OP, do the Emed test when arriving back into Vancouver (a day before u fly out), $33 Or bring the free test kit u received from USPS, & online proctor, $20
  9. With another round of 8 free testing kits from USPS: https://special.usps.com/testkits A few in our group of 30 traveling to Alaska next month, out of Vancouver, has booked from this proctor company, for $20 each proctored test: https://rapidtestandtrace.com/product/observed-test-for-travel/ https://rapidtestandtrace.com/covid19-rapid-tests-devices/?fbclid=IwAR1UW-08JrAFOYjGoe7MHUU5k1rEojVn2zCeChBuS8TOuUlbt3rd-MbsgAY However, we're still bringing our RCCL/Celebrity approved Emed proctored kits, as backup. But does anyone has any good or bad experiences with the above RapidTestandTrace proctored test company...? Thanks,
