I'm looking forward to Harmony coming to Florida and all the feedback people post about before my Christmas cruise on Harmony

Thank you. It's totally my own fault for overpaying since I didn't prepare. I don't think the guy I used was a traditional taxi. He seemed more like a private service, so he may have had more flexibility in how much he can comment. Not sure. My own fault. I 'll have to master the Uber XL next time. Thank you.

We stood outside waiting for a cab and all the cabs were traditional yellow taxis One driver had a big SUV. I can't recall what the fare was, but it was pretty outrageous b/c he only had to drive us a few blocks to the car rental agency. We talked him down a bit in price. Granted, we could have continued to wait (he assured us we wouldn't' find anything :roll eyes:). Since we were new at this, we just took his rate and overpaid for it. It wasn't the end of the world, but I knew there were better rates out there if I would have planned better. I think it was something like $75 to drive a few blocks. He spoke very poorly of Uber~ but probably all based on competition... I don't mine Uber. If I plan better, I imagine I can get a better rate.
So, if I get off the ship, go through customs, you think I can request an Uber to Port Everglades with a big SUV? The guy that drove us last time told us Uber wasn't allowed to pull in to that area.
I could do the two taxi option too, but would rather stick together as a family if possible.

I need some help or ideas. We are a family of five so the smaller taxis don't fit all of our luggage. I need a van or big car to pick us up from FLL hotel and take us to the port and another transport at the end of the cruise. I need one to pick me up at Port everglade and take me to the airport. I didn't plan well last time and paid the price for not planning. What are some options that I have for bigger cars to taxi us around? Tia.

Once you get home and get settled, I would be curious to get your summarized thoughts re: more RC cruises vs. Disney. I think I stated earlier that my husband and I preferred the food better in the MDR vs. the specialty places. We like good food, my husband is an awesome cook and has years in the restaurant industry. He tends to know good food when we have it. I warned him ahead of time that the food, while good, wasn't going to be five star dining like we would have back home, since it is a big ship and it's difficult when you are serving that many people. He set his expectations and thought the MDR was really good. The speciality was either 'meh' or too far out there w/creativity when we didn't really want to experiment that night. Either way, it's nice to have choices, right? Let us know your thoughts when you settle back into home.

Whoo Hoo!! Glad it's living up to your expectations. It's hard to be loyal to one company and then jump ship (pun intended). Glad you are enjoying it. I was on Oasis (very similar to Allure) and loved Central Park. It's so peaceful there. Enjoy, enjoy!!

If it were me, I would call RC and ask them to switch it on their computers. You may be able to do it on your own online, but I don't know how that works since the sales change over time and other financial transactions. Easiest way for me would be to call Royal.

I have No opinion but you have some great choices

Who hoo! Have fun. Our tweets and teens were across from us and we all liked those arrangements. I may be the odd man out, but my husband and I preferred the MDR over the specialty restaurants. Go and enjoy though. It's nice having so many options. Have fun!

My favorite story in response to the Don't You Know question was an airline ticket counter employee who supposedly got on the P.A. system and said "I need some help here. This man doesn't know who he is."
ha!
That sounds like a really bad deal in the dining room though. Sad for her/her family and frustrating for the passengers and those staff that had to address this behavior. You can't be doing stuff like this in public places, esp. in the middle of the sea.

Thanks for asking. I just saw 20% off on Harmony for a holiday cruise. I was wondering the same thing. I think I'll order it now.

I have heard from others that one upside to RCI is that the night life options far outweigh anything Disney cruises offer. Many more options and events going on in several locations. I can't attest to this, but have read it here a few times.

You have so many great photos! I love the night photos of the ship.

Looks like a story a middle school student would write. Complete fiction, imo. . Wondering if there was motive to buy drugs and bring home. Total speculation, but the story on the blog seems way off to me. I can only imagine the number of stories RCI staff has to share about their guests. I wouldn't like to be the staff responding to guest antics like this.

Reserve your shows as soon as possible. You can always cancel if you Change your mind. As far as balconies, I would think it would be listed as an obstructed view if there was a lifeboat in the way.

Following. Thanks and have fun!

Thanks for the review and photos. Looks wonderful!

Glad you enjoyed. You boarded the ship as I was leaving in April 2nd.
