Hi - found this 25 minute video on another thread from the first cruise post refurb...shows common areas, restaurants etc. I went through it quickly, I don't think it shows cabins.

the constant swaying feeling - terrible. I have it up to a couple weeks after cruising - it will pass, but annoying for sure.

I happened upon MSC several months ago and booked the Seaside Yacht Club for Jan 2019. The price is so much better than any of the Haven prices. I've only been on smaller ships and the thought of well over 4000 passengers with nowhere to escape when you want to scares me a bit, so I'm really hoping we love the YC. There are some great reviews on their forums.

For whoever asked, all new mattresses.

 

I’ll post pictures after I get home. I only have 250 minutes of internet and don’t want to waste them.

 

Maybe all the CC cruisers are too busy and having too much fun to post. A large group of us are meeting daily to play LCR and other games.

 

Overall I’m pleased and happy with just about everything.

Meraviglia is a massive ship and one of the few that have a promenade down the centre which they did use quite well. There always seemed to be loungers available on the main decks (except for the comfortable ones) but the bar near reception did actually feel like you were in reception itself rather than in a bigger lobby bar. The theatre shows were a bit hit and miss - I think they spent the entertainment budget on the Cirque du Soleil.

 

The YC (after a couple of hiccups) was amazing. We were both really upset to leave. The service was personalised and we made some good friends with the staff and a few passengers on board. The deluxe cabin was also huge. We are already looking at the YC for Meraviglia for next year.

I was on Meraviglia last week in the YC. They said they do not offer day passes.

Hijacking this thread but how did you like the Meraviglia (and YC) - would like to book for 2020 and debating between that and Seaside (which I am on in 2019 but figured with $99 deposits maybe I should book something) Thank you!

kaybee 16, thank you so much for taking the time to write and let us know the updates! I will be a first timer on the Sun in June - have a bid in place for a mini suite. Thanks also for the tips!! I plan to not notice the bar service after awhile as well :) (hoping they replaced bedding too :) :)

I wonder if they have no wifi on board? Are they stopping at ports? I even emailed my NCL TA a few days ago asking about the refurb and he hasn't responded!

yep - when I have a cruise booked I'm on here daily reading mostly about the ship I'm booked for. Then I start looking around to book the next one! Some great reading, love it.

I will come back here and post our experiences in july. We have sailed royal exclusively. On oasis class, we have cruised 5 times in the crown loft suites with another booked this october. But for this july we are in yc balcony for two weeks. I know the room is smaller but for the price we arw cruising two weeks in yacht club vs one week in a crown loft. Will see if MSC wins our business for feb 2019 and beyond. Or will it be back to royal?

I just looked up those loft suites, they look incredible. I have YC booked for 2019, I will be interested to see what you think is better, I'm all over the place with what to book for 2020.

WOW - beautiful photos on your blog! Your pictures look like postcards. Debating whether to book Meraviglia for 2020, have Seaside booked for 2019...have never sailed MSC but I worry if I don't book far out YC will be booked, or much more $$.
