As far is Cabo, it’s actually a great port to get off the ship and hit the beach, there’s The Office and the Mango Deck where you can get lounge chairs and umbrellas and get served cold beers and great foods. It’s one of my favorite spots to go out and have fun. Cabo Wabo in April while on Navigator of the Seas.

I’ve cruise many times since 2009, in fact around 15 cruises since the restart. I will have go back an edit that signature. But to answer your question, If I can get on a ship out of San Diego, Long Beach or San Pedro then I am there. As much as I cruise I rather save on Airfare and Hotels. Just off Diamond Princess in January out of San Diego 16 days around the Hawaiian islands and next week on Holland 14 day Panama cruise. I post my reviews in the Roll Calls so that people that are sailing after can ask questions and also see menus and activities. As far as the General Carnival board, I don’t post much there anymore unless there is something new or a change that someone is asking about. Pre Covid I did lots of Hawaiian land trips as well.

Basically this family fully paid for their cruise, there was a glitch with ordering bus transfers. The bus transfer sat in the cart to get paid but they didn’t continue with the order. Upon arrival they were told that they owe 109.00 or so. Bus transport/transfers are for a second party and not for the cruiseline. They could have handle the transaction there at the terminal or cancelled the order. They were simply told to go home. NCL would not budge in refunding their cruise, this went on social media and even Don made a video about it and this caused a lot of heat, about a week later NCL decided to refund their cruise. So it’s best to just wait and buy your bus transfers when you get on the ship. On my upcoming HAL cruise the bus transfers kept giving me an error so I deleted the transaction from the cart. I called HAL yesterday to ensure that I didn’t have any outstanding balance for my cruise.

Yes, only because of the heat they Recd, that should have never happened in the first place. Put yourself in their shoes, to make it to the terminal and to tell you that you can’t sail and you are out 4600.00 what a crock of BS.

Panorama, is a great cruise especially when Lee Mason was onboard but you can only sail on her so many times. 3x since the restart. CD Lee Mason is now on Celebration.

The choice whether to cruise on Carnival or not, then Don’t Cruise. That’s my answer. To the OP, nothing has changed for the better with Carnival, it’s actually worse today. Enjoy your trip in New Zealand, it’s a beautiful country.

No, Save your money and sail on another cruise line, give the Celebrity Apex class a try, you will really see a difference in everything from Quality of service and especially food. I am giving the Mardi Gras and Celebration a try this November because it’s their newest biggest ships but after November I have one more and it’s because Firenze is a different Italian concept but after that I’m done with Carnival. I will sails with Holland, Princess, Royal and Celebrity. I have not done MSC or NCL yet and with the BS that NCL is pulling with taking that lady’s 4600.00 money over a 109.00 bus transfer mis-take I won’t waste my time with them also.

Yes, you will have to pay the extra $5.00 to use their app chat feature. Make sure to have your phone on Airplane mode so that you won’t be charged high cellular at sea roaming charges. Those text will go via satellite to a station in Miami and that can get very expensive.

I was thinking the same thing, if you’re in a U.S. port, St Thomas, Puerto Rico etc then you use your own plan and if you go down to Mexico then get the international plan and be done with it.

Carnival has the worst loyalty plan compared to the rest, the only thing worth while is the laundry and that’s it. Suite guest trump platinum members. So forget about getting onboard first. There’s no incentives for me to get me back on Carnival with their loyalty clubs.

We had a naturalist onboard Spirit back in September, not sure if he actually went out in the wild like Mark Harris onboard Princess, Mark is the real deal as he also shows you pictures in the wild, if you ever come across this naturalist, you don’t want to miss his presentations.

When it comes to sailing out of Long Beach, it’s not about the itinerary but the ship itself, the cruise life, also like someone posted above, a good percentage stays on the ship in Catalina Island and especially in Ensenada.

Can not be linked with other deals, there was a couple at guest services inquiring about this and they were told that they already received OBC with another deal. I looked it up and read that, that was 2 years ago so I don’t know if that has changed.

I submitted my request with the info required and a photo of my shares to Holland and within a few hours I got the email that the 250.00 OBC was approved, I also submitted one to Carnival and that one took a few days. both from next month.

It’s not Carnival that’s driving people away, it’s the lame people that sail on Carnival today, the fights, the drunks, the weed, beds outside on the balcony, the disrespect by passengers to the crew… the list goes on. I have Radiance one last time in April for a birthday and Mardi Gras & Celebration in November and after that I am done with Carnival. So glad that Carnival is finally taking a stand today.

The reason why I am restarting this topic because the last one I read was old from June 2022 with answers from some that have never purchased this coffee card gave some clueless information. We are in 2023 and I would like to know if there are any changes as the Website still does not say that various coffees require 2 or 3 punch holes like the ice lattes etc. Someone contacted guest services and the food and beverage manager was called and he would not budge and showing him what the website said. So this person simply gave the card back which is the right thing to do. Another question to this is can you use this same card on other ships, looks like you can since theres no ship or cruise date on the card, its just a punch card. I dont want to assume anything and thats why I am asking here. Anyone with experience using this Coffee Card on "various ships", please chine in on this topic. Thank you very much. Fred

I also prefer Kona then Hilo when going to the big island but I also enjoy Kauai out of all of the islands. A lot sunnier and less rain in Kona with lots to do there and nice beach restaurants. 16 day Hawaii cruise on Princess from San Diego and back this January.

If so have to take a flight, I always book anything after 3:30pm, no rush and still have plenty of time to get to the airport if there are delays

8am - 8:15am, get to where you have to meet which is the middle dining room around 7:45am as you will be told to leave at that time. Sailed on Panorama 3x and that’s how it went.
