There were never sub forums for each ship. The links on the old page are the same as the drop down box. Just a search link for posts about the ship.

In this new format the word “Gem” for example is in the post title whereas the old links took you to the specific ship where you would post about that ship not necessarily having it in the title.

You are correct, it is only for 48 hours after you book.  I wonder if OP calls back if the next CS person will tell her that she can get the price difference. The first CS seems to have been clueless.

I think you’re right. The first person I called didn’t seem very knowledgeable. I called back after I saw the decrease in my OBC and the just changed it back. Thanks for all the info especially about the 48 hour part. It’s good to know going forward. 👍🏻

There is really not a ship-specific forum. They are just filters/searches across the general forum. At the top of the page, there is a SELECT SHIP pull down to do that (see bottom of picture below)

Ok I saw that, that’s too bad. I found it was much easier to have that sub forum for each ship.

    Thanks!

  4. Ok so I booked during the dash sale and received OBC. I have payed in full for my cruise but noticed that the price has dropped by almost $400. When I called NCL they said they could make the price change but I would lose my OBC as it was booked during the dash sale. Anyone know if they could keep the price as is but just offer me more OBC instead so I can keep what I already have?

  6. When the OP replies DOS Suites 12502 Port side wing and 12500 Starboard side wing are outers

12500 Port inner - 12000 Starboard inner both of these overlooking the nose of the bridge.

Note these suites do not have a balcony - and perhaps wisely so - if they did - opening balcony doors while

underway may leave quite a mess with stuff blowing around the cabin slamming doors etc.

I was in 12000 in April and will be again on August 10th and we loved it. 2 bedrooms & great location. Not as nice of a view as the outer but we loved having the second bedroom for our son. Didn’t mind no balcony either as we just walked down the hall to the pool. Although I will say, we stayed in the Owners Suite also with the two balcony’s and also loved that as well. Hey, as long as I’m cruisin I’m happy!😊

  7. We are a family of 5 (with older kids), and I’m considering the 2BR DOS for the Bermuda cruise this summer. Can you tell me if the pull out beds in the the second bedroom and living room are comfortable? I know your son is young, so it was probably very roomy for him, but I’m wondering if you were able to see how comfortable they are for adults? My 2 teenage girls would be in the 2nd bedroom, and my 21 year old son on the couch in the living room.[/quote

They aren’t the most comfortable no. They are both couches that turn into beds but I have heard people asking for mattress toppers to make them more comfortable. On the other hand, the king bed was EXTREMELY comfortable!😊

  8. We've only sailed Dawn 3x (in a suite) so that's all we know; if there are other categories or specific cabins on either the Dawn or Gem that provide what you have found to be great value (ie particular location, cabins with a unique layout, or a larger than normal balcony, etc), I would love to know about them! (we would be traveling with a toddler, but open to all feedback from those with kids OR without!)

Suite prices seem to be through the roof this year; we've seen them increase year over year and maybe taking the last couple of years off is contributing to the sticker shock, LOL. Not averse to the suites of course but hoping to maybe save some $ in the process. I have noticed the last minute pricing seems to be more favorable but I don't know if that is in the cards for us at this point.

Sort of related, I also priced mini-suites on the Dawn and they are not *that* much less expensive than the full suite. Which I find interesting because for the additional ~500 or so (from what I've seen), you get the larger cabin and all of the extra suite perks. Just something I noticed.

We just got off the Dawn and switched last minute from a 2 bedroom to the Deluxe Owners Suite (same price). I debated because this room does not have a balcony just the windows but went for it because it was my son’s first cruise so thought I’d be better without the baclony. It didn’t disappoint and I didn’t miss the balcony. They’re on Deck 12 at the very front of the ship. Location was great! Definitely worth it.

  9. Ok so I’ve just been seeing posts about mini suite noise from the pool deck. Has anyone been in the 2 bedroom family suite 11550? It doesn’t seem to be right under the pool but if anyone has been in this room I’d appreciate some feedback.

    Thanks in advance!
