  1. Just finished after starting on Sunday. Wow! Thanks so much for the great review!! We are going in August and this was so helpful for me for my planning. I am going to do a tour of the island which has great reviews and the Gosling Sunset Rum cruise. It is our first trip. (Hubby and I) without kids in 6 years so I have to say I'm looking forward to it even maybe a little extra.lol Although I'm already freaking out knowing I'm going to miss them! I'll be using my internet credit for some FaceTime!!😄

  2. We've been in suites and been out grabbing our luggage at 9:10, but I agree that 9:30 is safer, if you're paying for waiting time.

It's a zoo outside, so once you're outside, there are areas marked with giant numbers -- find a spot to stand under one of them where you can see (and be seen), and tell your driver you are standing under the #5, or whatever.

Chances are, they will be challenged by security/troopers if they try to stop along the way to look for you, so if they don't immediately see you, they will be told to move along. If they know you're at #5, they roll right up to that point, and you can flag them and they can hop out and get you in the car smoothly.

Ok great advice. 9:30 it is! Thanks everyone for your input.😄

  3. Does anyone know what time we are off the ship when we return to Boston? I'm trying to book a ride home but I don't know what time to book it for and they charge extra for waiting time. I'm booked in a suite and I did hear that we might get off early? Please any info would be greatly appreciated!!

  4. We are taking a tour with Heidi in August. It's $100 per person. She was already booked two of the three days we are in Bermuda, so book early. You don't pay until you get there.

That's when we'll be there. We're going the week of the 21st. I have a $75 ship excursion credit though. She sounds really good though. Now as usual I'm going back and forth! Not sure if the buses the cruise offers would be as good?

  5. Just got off the break away from Bermuda last week. A friend of mine took a bus tour around the island. She bragged about it and couldn't get enough. If you Google Byway Tours Bermuda the info will come up. The ladies name is Hiedi. She charges $100 and picks you up at the port and drops you off at the port. Lunch is included in the price. She stops at a local place to order the food. My friend said the food was amazing. It's an intimate ride of 6-7 people. She stops EVERYWHERE!!

Thanks for the tip! There would be two of us. Is that $100 total or per person?

  6. I have never had a problem modestly upgrading the liquor. Just politely request a favor from the concierge and butler. Hotel director normally has to approve. Don't expect top shelf but Ketel One has always been approved.

Did you do the upgrade onboard? I was asking before hand but they can't confirm it I guess. I was told to ask onboard.

  7. I actually contacted the concierge yesterday and she sent out that letter and I'm already asking about the 3 bottles. They are looking into whether or not I can substitute from the list given so I'm waiting to hear back. Now I have pillow choices!😊 I'm loving this!!!

  8. Can some one direct me to where I can current Menu for the specialty dinning restaurants?

I just found beyondships2.com and they had all the menus as of 2014. Not sure if they've changed since then but it gave me a good idea of what they had to offer.

  9. I was trying to book a tour excursion but it looks like the taxi tour is only available on Sunday or we can do the bus tour on Monday. My main concern was the stores being closed on Sunday in Hamilton. I didn't know how long the bus tour actually stayed in Hamilton because obviously hanging out there when everything is closed wouldn't make sense. Also is it worth it to do a tour on Sunday?

  10. I would suggest emailing the pre-cruise concierge and asking if you can substitute something to your liking. We have always had great luck in doing this, although I know others not so much. They may say no can do or they may charge a fee for what they may consider a "premium" liquor. We did this as recently as January of this year on the Epic. Things can be very fluid at NCL so I can't promise this will work, but, it's worth a shot.

For the record, we requested Disaronno amaretto, Absolut Citron and Bailey's. They were waiting for us in our cabin when we boarded.

Oh Thankyou I will try that. Any idea where I can find the email for the Concierge? I've looked on NCL.com but couldn't find it.

  11. This was the list two months ago:

    Beefeater Gin

    Grant’s Blended Scotch Whiskey

    Smirnoff Vodka

    Jim Beam Bourbon

    Seagram’s 7 Crown

    Bacardi Superior Rum

    Cazadores Blanco Tequila

    Dry White Vermouth

    Sweet Red Vermouth

    Harvey’s Bristol Cream Sherry

    Sandeman Reserve Port

    Jameson Irish Whiskey

    Kahlua

North & South by Norwegian, Sauvignon Blanc, California

North & South by Norwegian, Merlot, California

The ahead-of-time list is pretty hit or miss. We had to contact them for it and then it never got passed along to the ship anyway.

Thanks for sending that. I usually drink a flavored vodka bummer they don't have a larger selection. My two favorites are Stohli Razberry and Malibu Rum.

  12. I would presume that info regarding this is the same as when we were in the Garden Villa on the Pearl. Before our cruise, we received info (snail mail or email, I don't remember) from the pre-cruise concierge. It gave us the liquor choices, mixer choices, etc. It also included the pillow menu. We told them want we wanted, and it was waiting in our room when we arrived. During the course of the cruise, our Butler refilled any mixers that we needed. And he did bring extra water bottles.

Oh so you get the list ahead of time? That would be great if they do indeed email you ahead of time with the Owners Suites. I'm curious to see if anyone knows the brands they have for the liquor.

  13. Could someone please let me know about the beverage service in he OS on the Dawn? I've noticed people posting that they had 3 bottles of liquor that they chose. Do I call ahead for that? Also what about bottled water and or soda? Does bottled water come complimentary in the OS?

    Thanks so much!
