Your proposal sounds reasonable. However, you say the software to implement the solution is not complicated. Are you sure? I can't see how they would be able to block those with unlimited beverage packages from using the Ocean Medallion system; or, that Princess would want to (they will be selling more than just beverages).
What's the 'solution'?... issue 'Package Beverage Cards' - with instructions they are to be used for their packages... and that beverages ordered using Ocean Medallion will be 'billable'. Simple!
Lol so you mean put a sticker on the medallion [emoji1]

So this 6 nighter is perfect for a taste of Majestic to see if it is a ship we would do a repositioning on, also that it docks in Port Arthur as last time we drove there from Hobart.
This is the bit we are going to be watching with interest after doing Port Arthur on the Emerald. It was a pain with 3000pax I am sure it will be so much smoother with 3500 ;p

Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Club Soda and Tonic Water are on the guns and therefore on the Soda & More package.
Cans of Sprite Zero, Root Beer and Fanta Orange, as well as cans of the gun options, are available for purchase a la carte or in the All-Inclusive Beverage Package.
Root Beer is also part of the soda & more package, you just get it by the glass not the can if you ask.

Just off the golden today and they mentioned that the majestic is scheduled not just for our next season but the one after as well. Looks like she may become a regular.

No not the steering......I believe its to test the compass . We were on a Princess ship once and when leaving Lyttleton Harbour the Captain announced that the ship would do a 360 turn to check the instruments. Its an Insurance requirement and has to be done once a year .
Yep you are correct that is what was happening. Didn't make for a much more exciting departure from Melbourne though [emoji20]

Watching with interest what is happening with the weather and the other cruise lines. Not that much info available at sea. However the seas are getting calmer where we are as the afternoon progresses. Still expect to be at Port denaru about lunch time tomorrow.

We noticed that as well. Following that cruise on the Golden Princess. Interested if they will give Mare a complete miss?

We are on the Golden at the moment, currently the itinerary has been rearranged to do Fiji first and basically do a reverse itinerary. No ports to be dropped at this stage. We will see what the weather brings [emoji1]

We have noticed that individual photos have gone up from $20 each to $25 though so I can't imagine sales will be booming. If anything it must get even slower than before?
-
$199 for 10 photos plus digitals on a thumb drive, $49 for 2 embarkation photos plus digitals on a cd. All inclusive is not available for purchase on board it can only be pre paid via the personaliser.
No other offers available on board so far.

Gopher racing at the pantry?
-
Well we board in a few hours so I will post what the price is when I find out tomorrow when everything starts being pushed 😀
-
The online reservations for specialty dining has an annotation on the page to inform you that it is not for use with promotional offers or obc. If you choose to prepay be prepared for the possibility that they may not reimburse.

Our 14 year old daughter is asking whether there'll be an easter egg hunt and is wanting us to bring our own chocolate eggs - but I imagine they'll end up crushed before they get to the cabin! Do people usually bring eggs for Easter?
You could always bring the eggs on as part of your carry on if you are not flying in. Your cabin will be ready as soon as you board so you will be able to drop them off straight away once you get on. Either that or pick them up on your first port visit but I think you are doing a South Pacific island cruise so I am not sure what the selection would be like?

Viewing Google Earth, as you zoom in, image date is shown along the bottom together with coordinates and altitude.
The date will often change as you zoom in as the images are taken at different altitudes and dates.:)
That will be why I don't get dates I don't have google earth installed, I am just viewing maps via google maps.
-
Google Earth says Nine January 2016.
Where do you get the date of the image from Google though?
-
Started before the Kardashians.
Personally I HATE "reality" shows, also don't believe many, if any, are actually REAL.
Must be real GUT it's on the telly ;) it could only be more real if it was on Facebook ;p

So which ship is visiting Port Arthur in the latest Google update? We have a new 2017 image https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Port+Arthur+TAS+7182/@-43.1436679,147.8738429,426m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0xaa6da5506cdf008d:0x403c94dd0de0b00!8m2!3d-43.17746!4d147.8420491
Looks like the Emerald? Anyone know how to work out the dates of images from Google?
-
It's a pity you can't buy them on board like the robes :(
-
The personalizer has a note in the specialty restaurant section that tells you any bookings to be made with OBC or promotional credits have to be made on board. Only bookings accepted are those prepaid and sailaway evening is not available in the drop down list of dates.

If you are certain you want a GoPro Hero 5 then disregard the rest of this post.
Certainly not tied to a brand, just after something easy to use in multiple applications that is small and waterproof (had enough carrying stuff around these days). The GoPro fits the bill nicely even though it really isn't the best tool for all applications, if we find a decent price we would probably get one outside of a cruise but as others have mentioned OBC is the most likely candidate for purchasing one.

After drowning and defuncting a cam-corder on a recent sailing trip, we just bought a G.P5 black,(not a session)from h norman for $428, with loads of goodies, 32 g sd card, selfie stick, plus some other worthless junk that we will break.
Good deal I thought. MMhhh :)
Sounds like a great deal, we have yet to go squeeze our local JB manager to see what price he can come up with.
-
Thanks guys, we head off on the 31st. Wonder if the 10% sale they normally have on the first 2 days includes camera gear?
-
Anyone happen to know what the current price Princess has the GoPro Hero5 Black selling for? We are heading off on the Golden in a couple of weeks and wondering if the price onboard is competitive?

On the topic of more gaming area's any ideas on what they mean by the "gaming vista lounge"? Is it set out like the other Vista lounges or something else? Haven't found any pictures yet.
