just got off, was in 4074 ocean view. I'm 6'3 about 200. No problem with height of cabin. Showers are small but I didn't have to bend, but at 270 you wont have a lot of room to dance. Shower head can be adjusted and its also a hand held.

Just returned today. We were in 4074, we were 6 steps from the Centrum and 15 steps from the dining room, and elevators. We felt the cabin was not noisy, except for a very loud person talking in the hallway as they passed, but you get that from most cabins. They did do some scraping and painting on the deck about one morning, but no big deal. 4074 has a door to the next cabin, but the couple next to use were very quite and we didn't even know they where there. Sometime they closed the door after 12, but we really didn't hear it banging, of course we didn't go to sleep till 12-1.

do you still have to complete a medical form (which all sick people lie about) when boarding? Will be sailing on Grandeur tomorrow:)

I will be in 4074 on Sat 8/25, will let you know about noise when I return. If any have a noise problem it will probably be mine, hopefully not.

Thank You very much for the info. Will hit I-95 around 10:30/11:00 on Saturday 8/25. The tip about listening to 1090am should eliminate any major traffic problems. Been on the beltway a few times.

would inexpensive two way walkie talkies work?

Athem -NJ-NY crowd vs Grandeur -MD-VA-OH crowd

Have been on her twice in the past 4 years and going again 8/25/18. Just right size for us (65+) and crew is the best. Trying to get the same table by the window we had the past two sailing. Half packed and ready to roll.
-
As a local I would use option 2, except during rush hour. I would not try to give someone directions using option 2. My recommendation (with a toll) is what rubytue says, which is to take the Beltway to I-95 and get off right at the cruise terminal.
Thanks for the advice, when i get to the 695 junction, will that be 695 East??

Notice I said easy, my backseat driver not very good at map reading(no GPS). Driving south on 83 from York. Option #1, 83 to 695 beltway:(:(:(to 95 to port.
Option #2 83 into city, to Fayette to Light to Key Highway to terminal.
Other EASY options highly appreciated, don't need any stress prior to our cruise.
Thanks in advance

Have tried using the web page but it keeps bumping me to round trips.

In MDR I wear Khaki or Dockers along with a golf type shirt. On dress up night I were a white golf shirt. Windjammer almost anything goes.

Double the price for a cabin, guess I will watch them for free on TV

Park Cafe, its a light lunch, but usually no crowds

Can you only do GTY on Balcony & about. Also if i'm planning 6-8 months out, do I go with Nonrefund or Refudable?

Redeemed points from my card and wifes card about two weeks ago. Both requests on my cruise planner yesterday and used to purchase drink package and tour.
-
I have one and my wife just got one. First as a new card member you get 10,000 points which converts to a $100 OBC, You must make a purchase on the card 30 day-60 days prior to your sailing. Thereafter you get 1 point for every dollar you charge, which can then be converted to OBC, cruise discounts, etc. If you pay your card monthly, this is free money.

Looking for a good price alert website so I don"t have to log into Royal Caribbean everyday. Thanks in advance

Can I use my points to purchase drink package - excursion, etc prior to the cruise or must I wait until I'm on board? Would like to use to get some of the discounts offered.
Thanking you in advance

For me MDR is they way to go. Get a table by the window, enjoy the waves, sunset, have a drink, order anything and everything that looks good. Your on vacation, SLOW DOWN, AND ENJOY THE RIDE. P.S. We always dress smart casual for dinner no need to impress anyone.

stop at a WAWA- Turkey Hill or any convience store, pick up a 44oz soft drink and a few extra lids and put empty in suitcase. 44oz should last pretty long

Beside Main and buffet, what other dinning venues are free on the Summit?
-
Beside the main dining room and buffet, what other free food is on board. I know the specialty restaurants have a service fee, but also noticed some of the others have a menu price or a flat rate.

Where on the Grandeur can I get some?
