  1. Hi Looking at a wine list I posted on another thread,if you are a wine lover there is a Penfolds28 for £19.95 for a 250ml glass available on the deluxe package. Two of those plus a coffee a day pays for your deluxe package.
  2. Hi Thats unusual all coaches must be fitted (by law) with ‘speed limiters’ you will see the sticker on the back of the coach,,,,he can put the pedal to the floor and he won’t go faster than 70mph. Must have been going down hill with a tail wind😏 If the police stopped him for speeding they would also book him for tampering with the guvorner. Hi bosses would have found out anyway,,,the lack of a limiter charge would have gone to them.
  3. Hi. As a Brit I would love a Round Ireland cruise,,,so close to UK but so few cruise lines do one,,,,NCL and Fred Olsen this year. I sailed Celebrity from Dublin before covid to Iceland,,Dublin is great for a couple of days pre cruise. Dublin- Cork- Galway- Killybegs- Belfast- Liverpool (my home town)-Dublin. Unfortunately Dublin port is closed to cruise ships whilst new docks are being built.
  4. Hi Heres a good idea of Glasshouse wines,,,,,scroll down to the wine pages… The wines with 125ml are on Classic, those with 250ml are included on Deluxe. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwim94bB1JGBAxUIU0EAHQzlBr8QFnoECA4QAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pocruises.com%2Fcontent%2Fdam%2Fpo%2Finventory-assets%2Factivity-types%2Fdining%2Fdining-menus%2Fthe-glass-house%2FH17-140%20Glass%20House%20Menu%20Final%20Artwork_A1%20NO%20PRICES_LR.pdf&usg=AOvVaw2RnQmle6fWJ4ymMOCSuz_9&opi=89978449 Here is a good idea of all P&O wines, some on the Deluxe list at £11 for 250ml seem good for buying the package,,,you only need 4 glasses and you are quids in.😏
  5. Being as I haven’t been to the Belleview apts for 30 years how would I know, how would anyone know if they haven’t been there. I believe the evening entertainment is very good and facilities for children is brilliant. Those rooms in post #83 look better than some of the cabins I’ve been in on P&0.
  6. I believe any wine served by the glass is on the package, the difference between the two packages is you can have the large (250ml) wine on the Deluxe but only the small (125ml) wine on the Classic. Anything by the bottle only you get a discount on the bottle price. Download the very helpful list from post #2.
  7. Has anyone who is saying the Belleview Apts are a 2* dump ever stayed there?,I suspect their comments are down to one photo on social media. The Belleview Apts has been a favourite for Brits for years,,,why would P&O know anything different. It was fraying at the edges 30 years ago,I believe it was refurbished in around 2019. It was always mainly apartments so they never did put much emphasis on restaurant food. And the problem with mosquitos has been known about for years,,,in all hotels in Alcudia.
  8. Hi We get picked up at Burtonwood Services by Eavesway at 07:45 I believe Liverpool is ~07:15. A couple of times with P&O coach it’s been 09:15 from Burtonwood,,,P&O from Liverpool usually use Ellisons coaches,,lovely coaches.
  9. Eavesway every time,,,comfy coaches,WiFi,no stress of driving. Do the math and see what works better. Dozens of trips never been late to the ship on any off them,,,those drivers know every back road in England.
  10. Hi I believe the hotel was the Bellevue Apartments complex in Alcudia,,it’s a massive complex probably the biggest on the Island. Probably the only place to house all those who left the ship. It’s still a firm favourite with Brits,,,built in 1974 might be getting a bit rough now,,,it was rough 40 years ago when I went. Btw Alcudia is notorious for mossies due to the standing water of ponds and canals which are a feature of Alcudia.
  11. Hi Have you never walked into a greenhouse bursting with tomatoes,,pulled one off and eat it out of your hand,,,,,one of the joys of summer. Especially the small round variety ‘Gardeners Delight’. Sorry for going off topic!!😉
  12. Why are you trying to stop people asking questions?
  13. Hi. My wife likes a cup of Horlicks for bed,,,,she has to take her own sachets from home,,,a kettle is very handy.
  14. Sorry I forgot to put question marks into my text,,,,but I suspect you knew I was asking questions,,,not giving definitive reasons.
  15. Hi. Kettles are not only provided to UK citizens. Many nationalities sail from Southampton,,they all get kettles. If you mean all ships wherever they sail from should have kettles in the cabin I agree,,,or you are able to ask for one…….which I think you can. You do get a good choice of tea and coffee with the kettles,,,I always get a glass of Lactose free milk from OV for my coffee.
  16. I thought that but I just took the figures from an article I read. The para went.. “However, as new research suggests this week, it may simply have been a sign of things to come: coffee has overtaken tea as the UK’s preferred drink. Sixty-three per cent of consumers say they regularly drink coffee against 59% saying they regularly reach for tea. I’m guessing the trend has largely been driven by millennials (such as me) and Gen Z, who prefer coffee to a classic builder’s brew – though not exclusively. If we vote with our pound, we’ve elected coffee supreme, but is it cause for celebration?”
  17. The last survey I saw 63% of Brits regularly drink coffee to 59% who regularly drink tea. As a Brit of 76 years I hate tea. But I do love the kettles in the cabin to make a coffee. Btw,,,sorry to be pedantic but it’s Southampton,,,one word no double H in the middle.
  18. It’s on Deck 7 in the area marked Team Earth as you come out of the mid ship lifts. It in the seating area,,,just look for the people in the comfy chairs with their Kindles on their laps with their eyes closed and mouths open.
  19. Like I said,,,I was on Silhouette in May 2023 and The Hideaway was not there,no machine,no jugs,no milk,no sachets…nothing but cupboards. That was only 3 months ago,,,,maybe there was a kickback and it was reinstated. Dont try to make out people didn’t see what you did. My cabin for 10 days was on Deck 7 on the hump and I walked past that area several times daily.,,at that time The Hideaway was never open. Btw,,,I am only talking about Silhouette out of Southampton where all cabins have coffe/tea making facilities.
  20. The Hideaway was shut on my sailing on Silhouette in May,,,probably didn’t see a need for it when there is a kettle in every cabin.
  21. Sailaway from Olden,,,,,’Time to say goodbye’ makes the hairs on your neck stand up….. https://youtu.be/6pktMeK7dFg?si=Nnbl4qRH5EpuIu63
  22. But the atrium on Iona is also a bar area and also the location of Costa coffe. I love coffee and I love beer that’s why I like atrium. On Celebrity Silhouette the atrium is the main evening focus of the ship. On Ventura it’s Costa coffee and watching the dancers with a nightcap,,,you don’t know what you are missing. On Britannia with a turn on it’s we’re most people go for a pre dinner drink or for a after dinner coffee and brandy.
