most of the time the people have to be in line that are getting the passes - there have been a few exceptions to this rule but dont count on it.

Huh?

The only reason for not doing aerosol suntan lotion is when the ship is at sea the stuff blows all over the place and makes the floors more slippery, and is frequently sprayed inadvertently on a neighbor but it is allowed! :D

no problem with the hairspray! essential for me!!

Charters are generally full ship bookings....unless you pay the "charter" price thru whoever is chartering the ship, you can't book!

 

If you're looking for large groups, they are on every sailing...multiple "groups". Most times, you'll never know there are groups with you, as everyone does their own thing, just like any passenger. Some groups have private venues, like groups sailing for a particular band, or hobby...but that really doesn't affect the general public on the ship too much.

I remember seeing somewhere a spread sheet or link to information regarding charters that have booked in the future I am looking at a ailing next year and if there is a large charter I may move the dates around

I know that there may be charters at anytime but with this being a 1 time sailing it makes me curious

I seem to remember a bit ago that NCL tried that (all needed to purchase UBP if over 21 ) cant remember when but its in the back of my mind,, and yes! there was an uproar,, but then again I may be remembering incorrectly! I am sailing in 5 days so my mind is totaly overwhelmed making sure I have packed what I need not to even mention my husband and 3 boys!!! go figure they all have a VERY lackadaisical attitude to this all!!

Those T&C are for passengers that actually purchase the UBP. This does not apply to the UBP when given as a perk. There is nothing on either of my invoices that indicates a charge for the UBP. Passengers 3 & 4 are only being charged for port fees and taxes.

DO your invoices specifically say that all of them have it? or could it have been a time prior to it being just 1 &2 pass gets the perk.. on my vacation summery it does state that just 2 of us out of the 5 have the perks, the additional ones I needed to but it COULD have been because they werent on the first booking> I added my kids at a later date

Yes that's correct. The front of the ship on 17. There's nice lounge chairs out there and its a relaxing spot. Late night, it seemed to get overrun by teens, but earlier in the day it was a great spot! It's right next to the Haven private sundeck.

on the website cruisedeckplans it shows pictures and some of that area showed hammocks... are they still there? I guess its called the sundeck

Ncl is actually quite brilliant in offering free Dsc as a promo

 

They of course repriced the majority of their cruises to increase by the value of the dsc for 2. (Yes I'm sure not each and every cruise was repriced but you can bet most were repriced)

 

So....

 

1. Increase the cruise price by dsc

 

2. Tell the pax it's a "free" perk

 

What happens is in essence....

 

3. The pax winds up paying for the dsc anyway but of course will not be able to remove it or request a refund of dsc.

 

And yes I know it's a pax choice "freebie" but again it's a genius freebie on Ncls part

Nope mine stayed the same for the sailing i have changed.. :):):D:D AND SAVED around $250 on the new promo!!

I thought Haven cabins (at the least the "top tier" - like the 2 bedroom) that all guests have access to the drink package, etc.

 

I will be traveling on a NCL ship soon (free casino cruise) and am looking at the 2 bedroom to take 2 adult "kids" with us.... I thought the people I have to call (casino) said it was anyone in the cabin of "age" for the drinks package.

 

On Celebrity the top 2 (or is it 3?) suite categories get unlimited drinks for all in the cabin and also access to a club that offers drinks all day (no charge).

 

Does the bar in the Haven charge for haven guests?

No as I stated at the very beginning only 2 in a cabin qualify for the free gratuities, WiFi, Drink package , dinning package etc. The ONLY thing in the Haven and suites that is not charged for anyone is the service charge on the UBP, SDP or whatever its called currently (the 18%)

and YES if you do NOT have the UBP then you will be charged

Fooling around with pricing here and wondered if we put (4) adults in a Two Bedroom Haven Villa do we all get the 5 perks...so (2) would sail free and we would just split the cost 4 ways? has anyone done this? it seems to good to be true...

 

Im figuring there has to be a catch...

Yes I did :) I always wait for email confirmation before I hang up.. Just to let you all be aware this DOES still apply for the first 2 in the cabin as always.. so if you are sailing KSF promo be aware just an FYI that the gentleman I spoke to reminded me of before we hung up..

We are headed to Bermuda next week - I believe we may(the first day there) take a minibus(there will be 6 of us) to Warwick, and probably walk down to Horseshoe from Warwick. my question is if we take the minibus there how or where do we get it to go back? -Thinking we will be at Horseshoe by that time, or are there just minibuses available pretty much all day? I am assuming those are the ones that go down the hill

its not so much the "docking" as the clearance from the customs folks. I "think" an 845 should be ok BUT keep in mind there may be delays in sailing there and the 8 am docking time is not set in stone could be later depending on the weather

Frankly we are cruising in 2 weeks on the Breakaway with a 21yo( turning that on the 15th) and a 19 yo ... both boys.. if ANYONE sees my boys acting disrespectful, ugly or rude? you have my PERMISSION (and my husbands) to put hem in their place! and their place meaning In the ROoM for TIME OUT!!!

Oh I have so little tolerance for the ugly teens - thankfully mine arent that way !!!

We were on a cruise 7/7- 7/19...and just got back from Bermuda yesterday....

 

so since it was all within one month- we had a one month international plan...

 

If we were just doing Bermuda, the daily option would have worked best!

 

It's nice to have a few choices....

We originally were going to do the International plan but it would have been more $ - We have 5 phones so travel pass is 150 as opposed to 200 - but the bigger issue is the limits of Talk/Text the International plan has as opposed to Travel Pass with using your own plan -

Yes, that has actually been around these boards for quite a while. Most that have had Uptown Grill seem to be very disappointed but I guess if you are a new NCL person after the switch you wont know any different!!
