Yes, thanks. We were browsing the latest "big" Regent book that came in the mail recently thinking about possible future cruises and came up with this idea. But if we decide to book, we would definitely go through our travel agent.

We are considering booking back to back cruises (Alaska) so that we would have 14 nights rather than 7 and be able to simply fly round trip to/from Vancouver. Looked at the excursions and there are certainly enough choices that we can do different ones in each direction. I would appreciate a bit of information on how this works - I assume that we try to get the same cabin for both directions to prevent a move. Does it require 2 separate deposits? Any other thoughts or advice about such a booking? Thanks.

I was on that cruise and my experience was much worse than yours. Even wandering around the ship, I often had no ability to send simple texts to our friends on board or to our family at home. And photos almost never went through. I found the whole thing very frustrating and certainly not a Regent "luxury" experience!

On our last cruise (Splendor, Dec 2022) it mattered little where you were. I had trouble sending texts in the Atrium sometimes. In each port, I turned on my cell signal and used data roaming to actually get anything done. It remains a major fail on Regent's part!

Yeah - fine when wifi works. Our Xmas cruise on Splendor had abysmal wifi - super slow or nonexistent. Several times we were not able to text to our friends on board.

Do you know the hours of the brunch?

We have used the self serve washers on RSSC a couple of times. We pack All Free & Clear pods when we travel. No problem using them at all and they hardly take up any room in your luggage.

Okay. Thanks. I would guess that the two evenings I mentioned will have many dressed up too. Anyone been on RSSC for Xmas and New Years previously?

We will be on the Splendor Panama Canal cruise over Xmas and New Years. I know a cruise of this length normally has two "suggested formal" nights. Does anyone know what we can expect on this particular cruise? I would think the formal nights would be Xmas eve and New Years eve. Is this correct? And will there be any others? My wife is trying to plan her packing! Thanks.

On an upcoming RSSC cruise stopping in George Town, our original booked excursion was cancelled. They have added a few new excursions, but so far, none are really of interest to us. So my question is - where does the tender drop us off? Is it right at a downtown sort of area where we can simply go off the ship on our own, explore shops and such, maybe grab lunch and then head back? Or will be be dropped someplace where we will first need transport to someplace else? Thanks in advance.
