We had an interesting email from MSC regarding our cruise next week. It was a survey to tell them on how they were doing so far, and how our experience with booking the cruise went using one of their representatives. I felt that it is very proactive on their part! Bought two from Amazon and paid $55 for the Purple and $60 for the Blue bag. It is the: "TPRC 15-Inch Smart Under Seat Carry-On Luggage with USB Charging Port, Telescoping Handles." It is of decent quality and has a strap on back so you can piggyback it on a larger bag. The handle extends to 40 inches. I am not sure that it would be considered small enough for an underseat bag on some airlines. We are flying SAS which requires smaller dimensions so it will just be their carryon bag. The nice thing is that they can wheel it instead of carrying it. - Jack

We have done one HAL cruise right before a drydock.. Everything was fine except the last night when they starting ripping out the old carpeting. It was accompanied by their loud music and I had to step out in the hallway toask the workers to tone it down.

Bon Voyage! @Mr. Boston We had a phone call yesterday with our MSC concierge (same as a HAL PCC) going over last minute details about our September 14 cruise from Hamburg. I describe it to friends as "a cruise on an Italian cruise ship from a German port to Scotland and Ireland!" ☺️ We also discussed planning possible 2-3 European cruises for 2024. One in November 2024 that I am Interested in is undergoing some revision so has not been released. Stay Safe and prayers today for those that need them! - Jack

An update. I have been looking online waiting for this cruise to appear but it has not been released. I just spoke to our concierge but he cannot access it either. It appears that the dates and/or ports have not been finalized at this time. He thought that it should be available soon though and that he will contact me when he knows something further. - Jack

Still need our annual flu shot and second Shingrex vacine before we sail next month. Sue asked the pharmicist if the flu is the same in Europe and she repplied that it was. Five cruises to Norway in 2025 for MSC Virtuosa versus 23 cruises to Norway in 2025 for MSC Euribia. It also appears that the MSC Preziosa will have seven cruises to Norway in 2025 as well but the longer 11/14 night cruises.

Yes, because they invested in a new ship, MSC Euribia, that is powered using LNG.

There are a few cruises that the cancellation period date is before the final payment date. For these you must cancel 121 days before the cruise for a full refund. These are: Grand World Voyages, Grand Voyages, 28+day Hawaii, Tahiti and Marquesas, Tales of the South Pacific, Amazon Explorer, Incan Empires, and 30+ day Transatlantic sailings.

I'm sure that you can fit one pair of trousers into your suitcase to wear in the dining room.

I received a phone call from a MSC concierge about the Divina Fall 2024 Grand Voyage. They have released the cruise online (still couldn't find it yet though). He told me the ports but can't remember all of them. Two of them are Lisbon and Punta Delgado. No Funchal. I am on a trip away from home so will followup next week when I get home.
