  1. Hi OP, In answer to your first question, the AI elevate package, to my knowledge is not showing up on your booking on the website nor on the app, until your Express Pass is ready. Then you should see on your Express Pass ( on the web site and the app), the mention PALL to reflect your premium package. Meanwhile, on your written Booking Confirmation (Guest Copy), the following mentions should be shown: Elev-Elevate Grat ( with the number of night of your cruise) Surfchg ( with the number of nights of your cruise) BevPringra ( with the number of nights of your cruise) It will be possible to upgrade your internet either before or during the cruise. I am not sure, how the cost is calculated. Regarding your three meals package, Celebrity will book your first meal, on day 1 or 2 of the cruise, choose the venue and time. However, once aboard, you can check with the responsible person what has been selected for you. Based on availabilities, it's often possible to change it. Then you can book yourself the next two meals: venue, day and time. Hope this helps!
  2. I have not sailed on Beyond or any ships of that class. I have only sailed on M and S class ships. Looking at the Beyond deck plans, the lifeboats appears to be located on Deck 5. This means that on Deck 7, sitting on your chair, you will have an unobstructed view of the ocean. Standing at the railing and looking directly below, of course, you will see the lifeboats. But that view of the lifeboats standing at the railing, will be the same, event if you go up a few more decks. So, in my opinion, your husband is correct. From deck 7, mid-ship, you should really have a beautiful cruise to enjoy. I wish you a great time on your cruise!
  3. We took the tour on Solstice in 2017. I really enjoyed it. Going on the bridge, seeing the navigation instruments, the window on the floor allowing to see the ocean directly below, getting a briefing on how the ship is operating, taking a selfie with the Captain, etc. Then going to the engine room, learning more about the ship's double hull, the engines and all the safety features, was both reassuring and impressive. Passing through the areas where the food is stored, going through the laundry facility and observing these huge machines. Going through the ship's main corridor on the crew's deck ( I forgot the Highway it's named after), seeing a cabin crew. All quite interesting! Lastly, going through the ship's galley, where the food is prepared was also impressive. As mentioned, I am really glad I did. I learned a lot from it. But, it's not a tour I would do on every cruise unless it would be a perk, for some reasons.
  4. Time permitting, if you find out more information, I would appreciate it, if you could provide us an update near the end of your cruise. Thanks in advance!
  5. Oh! It looks like we're going to be on the same cruise: Silhouette departing Southampton on June 11. See you aboard!
  6. After three cancelled cruises, I am keeping my fingers crossed! But, if everything goes as planned, we are getting more and more excited, since we are only 26 days from boarding Silhouette! I really hope that we will be able to actually sail on that cruise!
  7. Thank-you very much Jim for the live review and all the beautiful pictures you took the time to take and post. I really enjoyed following you and Lain on this journey. P.s. as usual, you are almost a living cruise encyclopedia. I learn so much from all the information you share on the Boards. A huge thank-you and best wishes fir a healthy living until your next cruise and live review!
  8. I tried to watch it live. When it started, at 5h55 PM, it was only to tell us that the actual webinar would start at 6 PM, which explains why there was nothing in the first 5 minutes. Then, a few minute later, after the intro from the Celebrity Representative, an Italian Tour Guide took over. Shortly thereafter, my screen froze and went black. I then received the email, thanking me for my participation and a link to the webinar, allowing me to view parts I had missed.
  9. My DW and I celebrated our honeymoon on Sovereign of the Seas, during the cruise of May 23, 1992. It was also, our first cruise. So, it left us with treasured moments we never forgot. It really was a unique cruise in so many ways! During that cruise, we shared a table with 8 other passengers, who left us with a long lasting impression, due to their friendliness and uniqueness. This said, as we are about to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, keeping in mind our found memories of our little group, we were wondering what happened to them, how life has been for them during these 30 years. I know, it's a long shot. Cruise Critics did not exist in 1992, and actually, I don't believe internet even existed by then. But, if you recognize yourself and feel like sharing memories, please respond to this post: Here are the first names of our tablemates, we were at table #5. Cameron and Carrie, Brenda and Sarah, Myrna and Bill, Jan and, we're not too sure, but the name that comes to our memory, would be Bob. In any event, thank-you for your attention to this post!
  10. Personally, I love the M class ships. Sailed Infinity in 2018 and Constellation in 2019. (Our 2020 cruise on Millenium in 2020 was cancelled; however, we are booked on the Millenium in 2023.). I agree with DC, I would also pick a cruise based on itinerary and price. The only thing that S Class ships have that I missed on the M Class is the Murano restaurant. This, said, I prefer the elevators concept and MDR concept on M Class. Of note, none of the ships we were on, had been refurbished yet, so I can't comment on that difference.
  11. My DW and I tested positive about 40 days prior to our cruise and have an official PCR test document attesting our result. We are feeling well now and will eventually need a "certificate of recovery" to cover the possibility of a pre-cruise positive covid test result, resulting from our recent covid infection. We live in Canada province of Quebec. So far I contacted Celebrity and the representative did not seem to be able to define for us, who was an accepted health professional to write that certificate: pharmacist? Nurse ? Doctor? All of the above? Anybody else? Then, I contacted the private company who administered us the PCR test, and they don't provide Recovery Certificates. They suggested I contact either my pharmacist or doctor. Spoke to my pharmacist, and he said he did not know if his order was mandated to write Certificate of Recovery or the possible legal ramifications. He is supposed to call me back. Contacted my family doctor, and our doctor's schedule is fully booked til June. I am not the first one asking for that. She will try to check with the doctor and call me back. I feel absolutely awful, taking time away from a physician, overly busy with patients needing medical assistance, while my selfish need is to satisfy an administrative requirement for my pleasure travel. So, I am wondering, if some of you, seasoned Celebrity travellers have found another option to obtain that Recovery Certificate that I have not yet found. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
