Our family loves the Royal Caribbean Oasis class ships. We have been in Oasis a few times, in Allure, in Harmony and in 2020 in Symphony. We also love the Freedom class but cannot seem to get away from the Oasis class.

 FireEmt978, has your daughter tried the Oasis class? She would love it. We are a bit worried that our teens might not like our upcoming 11 days Amalfi cruise on the Edge, being used to all the activities in the Oasis class especially Harmony. I have not seen a lot of activities on the reviews that would catch their attention. Which is why we made sure that we have excursions booked every stop so they don’t get bored.

Hello, I am in a cabin with my granddaughter. For health reasons, I am not allowed alcohol.I would like to buy her a drink package. In Royal Caribbean, I am required to purchase a package also unless I can prove that I am not allowed to drink. What is Celebrity’s policy.

I have not seen Aug 19 2019 Amalfi go down.  We are crossing out fingers it will!!!!!!!

That looks like it can take a lot of laundry!! Yes!! we can adjust our packing at least. Though we have to be careful what we place in there.  Some reviewers say, nothing that shrinks or that is very wrinkly.  Apparently it is just washed and folded.  Good for the undies, socks and sleepwear then.

Love that there are lots of pillows..we love pillows. We actually bring our own pillowcases.

Thanks for the info on Asian stir fry area. Loved the Harmony offerings, fried rice, chicken and hugeee shrimps!, Hoping they have the same in Celebrity.

Hello again, those folded bags on top of the safe, are they the laundry bags? We are hoping to use them, hopefully we get cloth bags and not paper ones.

I also hope the safe can take an 11 inch iPad?

By the way, we are on Amalfi cruise Aug 19, 2019, 11day cruise, for a family’s wedding renewal in Santorini. We booked  last year January, still paid 3.5k pp Cdn for the inside. I have requested for an upgrade since then, and the lowest offered to a small OV was 1k pp. 

Honesty and sincerity is the best policy, which is why we look forward to reading your reviews. 

In all honesty,  I have started to regret booking Celebrity from the reviews, until you created this topic. I never felt a distinction between a suite and non suite in Royal Carib. I started as everybody else and promoted myself to suites as the years progressed. I had been a lurker until now,  being new in Celebrity, especially the Edge.

We always travel as a group, 25 to 30 in our family. Some can afford a suite, some can’t. We find interest in knowing info across the board. Your review just did that.

I am waiting before the final payment or as soon as we board to ask for an upgrade. I hope to be able to get a sunset veranda.. crossing my fingers. I heard that the Edge prices are going down, hopefully it happens!

As for celebrity, I think they should take your reviews and the people following you, and thank you for your positive, honest opinion! It seems like they have made changes since your first sets of posts, so there...they are following you!,🧐😊

By the way, this topic, as others would think is not that much as detail as discussions would offer,  but my, this is a lot of effort to complete. You might not get as much response as most recent responders might not be interested in the posted cabins, but any response from us lowly insiders are from the heart❤️

It was mentioned in one of the flyers that there is an Asian stir fry station that had been added, but I have not seen any review that mentioned it. Have you seen one yet? We loved the Stir Fry station of all the Oasis class, especially the Harmony and looking forward to Symphony next year. We are crossing our fingers it would be the same as we had last year in Symphony.

Lol.. thank you Host Jazzbeau. I am only a Select, after this trip I will get my Elite status! Hopefully we will get a cloth bag rather than paper. Good info, we are going on 18 days, 11 of that is on edge,  2 laundry per person might work.

i read Celebrity also sometimes offer laundry special during the week, is that true?

Thank you, cgolf1. I am used to a balcony/ junior in RC. It will be a big shock but we are going in the meds this August and the prices are just unbelievable. It is like 7cdn per person. I was offered an upgrade to a small ocean view for 1 k per person. Maybe I will just wait and see. If I can’t get it, I guess I will just learn how to go out and enjoy the sea view from eden. It is a family of 25 going..so no excuse not to go!

If you don’t mind, can you tell me how much the offer was for the upgrade?  We are also in an inside and I have not been on one, scared if it is claustrophobic. I have read that the size of an ocean view is the same as the deluxe inside which is 202 sq ft

So, 50.00 per bag.. no laundry line, how do we doing unless we bring tons of luggage.  We don’t even know how name clothes fit in a bag... 5 blouses, ten dollars a blouse?

Does anybody know how many pieces fits in a bag for $50.00 usd. How big is a bag.. 6x6.. as big as a small garbage bag (16x16”)?

Simply put... leave the auto tip and give extra tip to those who do amazing jobs.

You know, we have to tip the laundry staff who washes our towels  and bed sheets and the staff that wash our plates, staff that wash vegetables making sure our salads are clean.

 I would rather give to these hardworking people who gets Nada because they have no direct contact with cruisers

We tip every time we leave a table in the buffet section, so they already get extra from us, or every time we ask for our drinks. We give an extra 300.00 to our cabin crew personally, same with our dinner staff.

Yes, it is expensive but it feels good you are sharing your fun with the people serving you! Just think, we are blessed to be the one being served than the one serving!
