  1. OMG how awful. Please be careful and hope the other guy got a ticket and you got all his insurance information, looks like he rear ended you badly. Hope hubby can arrive sooner rather than later.
  2. @Haljo1935...rant away, needed and totally understandable and I agree with all your points. Our world is a crazy crazy place these days. One thing I have noticed lately ...watch your receipts that you are not overcharged. It happened to me twice lately and I did not realize it until the next day when I was logging the expenses in the budget. I am being much more careful these days. Hang in there!
  3. @BermudaBound2014 thoroughly enjoying your review. While we are the age demographic HAL is geared to, retired in our 70's I tend to agree with you regarding the entertainment. We love a good comedian and we are "regulars" at BB Kings as well. We had this cruise booked for 2025 and moved over to Alaska instead BUT we still would like to do this cruise, especially NOW after your wonderful review. I switched because I was having difficulty finding things to do in the ports. We are snorkel and beach folks and you have really highlighted that. When you get home I would really love to see your pdf or spreadsheet you used to prepare for this cruise. Honestly I don't have the patience to go thru the Roll Call pages it is so LONG! Hope you have smooth sea days heading back to San Diego. Susan
  4. Late to today's party, time difference is a killer! Just having 1st coffee at 7:30 am. If pools are chilly, how about the hot tubs?
  5. We were on the Koningsdam sailing just prior to your cruise. I will say IMO the one tender port was a nightmare. We were told no tender tickets needed when we arrived at BB Kings go down to 2. Well folks were backed up on 2 and waiting and waiting and getting frustrated for sure. The excursions also were not managed well IMO. But we didn't let any of this distract from our time and enjoyment. Just two things that could use some improvement for sure.
  6. @TxTeach79...excursion looks like a lot of fun and some fantastic pics!
  7. @TxTeach79...what am I missing.....fellow cruisers in your pics, where is everyone? Compared to departure day the ship looks empty!
  8. @pirate4me2 we did the Fury Catamaran snorkel beach break years ago and loved it, good party after all the snorkeling was completed. In fact it was a ship excursion and we were LATE getting back to the ship, we departed as soon as we were back on the ship!
  9. Good to hear....with the time difference between us it only seemed like 30 minutes for you!
  10. @pirate4me2....so sorry to read about Grandmother's fall and hip situation. Sending thoughts and prayers for speedy heeling for sure. My mom had hip replacement surgery at 90 and did fantastic, she lives alone, no issues. So here is to prayers that a broken hip will heel and be good as new soon.
  11. What's up....looks like you didn't spend much time on the island at the beach....that water looked so beautiful.....but so doesn't an empty ship!
  12. I had two beers today at girls day out for lunch and had a buzz, shameful I know, but my body just doesn't tolerate it well.
  13. @TxTeach79....love your hat....great saying! Sail away pics are awesome! As I have said many times over on the Tribe, I am a light weight drinker, I would be passed out and possibly in a coma if I could even drink what you have had today, I aspire to be like that when I grow up!
  14. I am so happy to read about these snorkeling excursions! We are water people! We were booked on this cruise for 2025 but moved....why, because I was having difficulty researching what to do in the islands that we would enjoy. This gives me hope for the future. CC port info is not like it used to be for sure.
  15. @pirate4me2...wow that is a lot of cruisers tendering into GC today. Hope you and mom feel better soon. My guy got cruise crud right after we got home in Feb from our cruise, lucky me did not, it is NO fun for sure.
  16. @TxTeach79 thanks for the pics...looks yummy! Sweet dreams!
  17. @pirate4me2...I LIKE your style of cruising! Havana is the ONLY way I would cruise on that class of ship moving forward. Free in room movies are great, we watched a lot of them on our recent 18 day cruise....room service works great as well! ENJOY! Glad mom is feeling better.
  18. So sorry for your loss. I am a very light weight when it comes to ANY alcohol. There are so many things I would LIKE to post but don't I just move on down the road....I'm sure you understand if you lurk over there! This group is much more my style for sure!
