So many people like these wings...but you don't...so you are right??...🤔🤔

    "Right/Wrong" is applicable to facts.

As written in the post, it's "My Opinion" --> not implied or stated as an objective fact.

As far as what 'I Like/Dislike' which is the essence of my post, then absolutely yes, I am RIGHT about what I DISLIKE.

I understand many disagree with my opinion = exactly my point>> that's why this is controversial >> which revisits the original poster's query.

  2. As always, by page 13, discussion has drifted pretty far astray.

Bringing it back to OP's Controversial "Like/Don't Like what others Don't Like/Like"

I LIKE>> Bad weather.  Love watching the effects of the ship's pitch&roll-- people having 'fun' trying to walk a straight line down the hallway.  Not <dangerous> to the point of furniture sliding or dishes falling off shelves.... but uncomfortable for most passengers.

Obviously I have no issue with seasickness,  just an issue being a sick bastard in general.

I DON'T LIKE >> Wings at O'Sheehans.  Horrible. Inedible.  In my opinion, if you're posting positive reviews of O'Sheehan wings (and there are many of you), you've never eaten wings prepared properly.

  3. I've dealt with this problem for about a year now.

Each time they give me that spiel, I tell Customer Service rep who answers the call "I've been extremely dissatisfied with the lack of communication R****** has repeatedly exhibited.  Please communicate my feelings AGAIN to her supervisor.  I'm sure YOU will be able to help me with my request today."

Always receive assistance, but that PCC is still attached to my passenger profile.

Don't know if US v UK factors in

we got our upgrade 2 days ago and we are sailing on the 29th on the dawn. it is a 11 day cruise and we bid 120 each for the balcony. we were in an inside. we got the middle of the ship on deck 9. very happy.

    This is very helpful info.

    We sail Dawn 2/27, 14day Caribbean.  I bid $230pp for similar Inside>>Balcony  = mid-fair bid.

Where did your $120pp fall on the meter?

Lol this isn't debate class, it's a message board. Enjoy your day.

    Yep, correct, A message board.

Like the wall of a bathroom stall, it allows one to write whatever inaccurate BS he chooses without consequence, then skip along his way when called to account.

No acknowledgment of error (even if made in good faith), or mea culpa for misleading readers.

    Have a good day. 🙂

Not to hijack this into a tipping thread, but a little 'grea$e'  regularly to your favorite bartender/server goes a long way to having policies & # limits be flexible.  I usually have my own small mini-bar stashed in the cabin fridge by the 2nd-3rd day.

The way it's actually worded is that if you cancel the cruise within the 60 days prior to the cruise, and then they cancel the cruise, you get the refund.

I would change to "you're ELIGIBLE for the refund"

It takes some digging and perseverance to change FCC to cash/original form of payment.  They will NOT automatically issue a $$ refund to pax who have cancelled prior to NCL canceling-- there are action steps for the pax which NCL does its best to bury.  Many non-CC Members who are less informed will not be aware of their options & required steps.  Even some CC members, as evidenced in this thread, misunderstand the protocol.

My speculation is that is the way NCL wants it; fewer cash refunds = better for them.

  9. Either:  You haven't read the posts on this thread and/or the printed policy

You disagree with the posts on this thread and/or interpret the policy differently than many of us.

Once you cancel, anything they do after the fact has no affect on you (This in incorrect)

I will not repost links already cited upthread which refute your misinformation.

It's like a scavenger hunt trying to find all the pieces of information to get an answer.

You and Gopher are both correct.

"Straightforward" and "User Friendly" are not descriptive of NCL's protocol for converting FCC to cash.

Because THEY DON'T WANT TO GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK.

  11. And don't we know NCL will play "Cancel Games" based on these nebulous. shifting company communications.... with varied replies from varied sources (PCC, website, customer service, etc).  They're playing the Waiting Game as much as any of us>> the more doubt/anxiety they can engender in their customers, the more $$$ they will hold on to.

Cancel the cruise closer to sail date = fewer pax receiving refund$$$ = more pax gettingFCC.

Don't trust anything that isn't written/printed. Retain documentation... you may need it.

I HATE feeling this cynical, but they're communication is woeful.

  12. The $250 CN they're not going to extend past 2022>>

I booked a 2week vacation for March a year ago, on a (bad) assumption this sh*t would be behind us; "oh, hey boss, I need to change that 2week vacay to this November"

Yeah, not in my world.  Not a chance I can get that kind of time off 'til next year by asking now.

But I'll have to PAY that $250 CN value for the next cruise, which means I'm OUT $125.

    ?!?!  *****?

Tried to use it THREE TIMES before it expired, but YOU DIDN"T SAIL!!!

    F U  NCL.

(Can't wait to hear the "You took the risk/Terms were specific/Read T&C >>> thanks, don't bother)

  13. Final Payment was yesterday.

    Swallowed hard & did it.

Let emotion of 3 consecutive cancellations (2 by me, 1 by them) influence my decision.

Triple-vax, maskers, observe all avoidance protocols >> seems like none of this may matter to Omicron.

If NCL cancels, it might be a bit of a relief.  Fully insured (3rd party) but no CFAR.

Usually the planning process leading up to our cruise is half the fun.

That fun is non-existent, replaced by anxiety.  Still planning, but stressed about unpredictability.

  14. My primary reason for using NCL Air for the first time (14day Caribbean Feb 2022 embarking Tampa, flying from Boston) was due to Covid uncertainty.  I preferred that a potential NCL cancellation of the cruise would not cause me headaches trying to recoup $ from a separate Air Carrier.  Yes, I purchase Trip Insurance.

That the cost we paid for two NCL-Air RT tix has subsequently <more than> doubled with most Airlines is a bonus.

Now if I can just get a guarantee that our arrival won't be delayed by an in-flight detour when some anti-vax knucklehead  punches a flight attendant because he doesn't want to wear a mask......

The 20% gratuity that is automatically charged with the beverage package is more than I would tip in a land based bar so nothing extra from me.

To me, this is the best philosophy.  I tip more than 20% at a land based bar, so I'll do the same at sea.
