  1. Neither one in the US for some time. 0.3% MINIMUM. and doncha know Orange is the new Yellow? CDC flipped the colors. ^ The “Orange” and “Yellow” ship colors were reversed for the COVID-19 program to go in a more logical color order.
  2. What's confusing? US cruises still require covid testing or an excused absence. That hasn't changed. No covid testing still doesn't equal no covid cases. That hasn't changed.
  3. You can see much progress since this March photo
  4. I am down here. It depends on the parents. Apples don't fall far from trees. Sometimes good, sometimes rotten.
  5. I find them to usually be as arrogant and obnoxious as their parents. They may or may not care enough to try to not get caught.
  6. Royal casino offers seem to be consistent while Carnival's offers seem to be declining. I guess we will find out.
  7. Check with Verizon - most of their plans don't charge for domestic roaming.
  8. Somewhat dated, but even classy MSC has fights https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8059197/Cruise-ship-crew-pepper-spray-brawling-passengers-feared-mutiny.html
  9. I can believe that, but with a ship in a ship concept there are other dedicated spaces - special restaurants for example, access to special pools, special room service, dedicated staff, etc.
  10. According to here, P. Moller–Maersk is top, but I suppose it could switch back and forth. https://www.ship-technology.com/analysis/the-ten-biggest-shipping-companies-in-2020/
  11. Show me. Spending more per square foot does not mean they are covering the cost of dedicated square feet. But as MSC doesn't release cruise financials,???
  12. On Royal perhaps, where free drinks are integral to the loyalty program
  13. MSC is privately held so no financial statements to make public or stockholders to pacify. To say MSC is a major shipping company is an understatement. I believe they are second largest and cruising is not their forte. How many times did IBM market PCs only to fail miserably?
  14. Well, there is some debate about that. Having part of the ship off limits for most of the passengers doesn't always sit well. Especially when the masses are likely subsidizing to some extent, those areas. MSC also has several price points for a cabin, depending on the level of "experience" you want to pay for. You want free room service? There's a charge for that.
  15. I scheduled out at least 6 weeks and you can change your appointment if you wish. I haven't found them to answer the phone or email but I only emailed a day or so ago.
  16. I was, but the reviews on the reboot are a mixed bag. Not everyone is delighted. Rudeness is often mentioned.
  17. Rude, snobbish, customer service is reason enough for me not to sail on MSC. I hate PA announcements and that much more when in multiple languages.
  18. You must not have sailed on them when they tried previously to crack the US market. The food was awful. As a privately held company, they don't have to release any numbers, but no doubt they were losing money to poach customers from other cruise lines.
  19. Of course I read it. She "saw" the color of the card so she could also "see" the picture of the person she was talking with. The response was still rude.
  20. Never has been one - the vaccines in use today were designed for the original virus and none of the variants. But fear not - one is being worked on with your tax dollars.
