When I post I learned to uncheck the box "show your signature".
When I made that thread I forgot to uncheck it... ;)
Ah ha! That explains it. So, I'm not going crazy after all. :D
-
I posted that thread and it probably has to do with my signature... I contacted cruise critic and let them know that I can't even edit my signature since I tried to post a cruise clock on it. Code is probably messed up but they never responded...
When it happens to me, your post is the last one I see in a particular thread. And what's really weird is that for the first time in over a week, I can see beyond your post in this thread. Yet I can't see beyond your post in the insurance thread.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having this issue. I even emailed CC about it yesterday with screen caps and didn't get a reply. This has been going on for about a week with various posts.

We don't. We self assist on disembarkation, so it's not needed.

And other than Lowes, none of those listed are in the NYC area!
Same for me. Have to travel 1/2 hour to have access to a couple of others on the list.

Those are not department stores.
I'm aware of that. According to Carnival's site, these are the stores that sell their gift cards. So, in a nutshell...........no there aren't any department stores that sell them.

Increases in the gratuities? Can you elaborate on that please? Nothing else sounds earth shattering! Thanks for all the replies everyone!
They went from up .95pp a day.
You can read about them here.

I have the opposite issue. Never hear from mine. He has only called once and it was to notify me about the $49 deposit sale some months back. I called him a few week ago because I wanted to upgrade to a balcony. He never returned my call. I had to call in and have someone else handle it. I am currently looking to book another cruise and I'll probably book online.

No lobster on 5 day or shorter cruises.
Lobster is available, you have to pay for it now.

Tried again this morning and nada. Used my computer, phone, daughter's computer and received the same results for all three.
Called Carnival's IT support and they were able to duplicate the issue. So, I'll try again later. :)

No, that didn't do the trick. :( Thanks.
Oh well, I'll give up for tonight.
-
I think something is going on I had that happen to me earlier tonight as well!
Thanks for the info. I had it happen for the Magic and the Vista. Hope it clears up soon.

I am trying to price a cruise on the Magic for April 21, 2018 for my daughter and I. I put in that I needed 1 cabin on the first screen, 2 guests on the second screen and then once I complete the info for the 3rd screen, I get this notice in the red line up at the top. It says, "No rates available for the stateroom category and the number of travelers you selected." I haven't chosen a stateroom category yet. If I change the number of guests to 3, it allows me to move beyond the 3rd screen.
What's up with that??
ETA: Sorry for the quality of the pic. CC reduced it even more. :(

Thanks everyone. I am going to call carnival and see what can be done. I will let you know what happens
Since you booked with a TA, Carnival won't talk to you about your dilemma. They will only talk to your TA.

I'm trying to figure out how to see the pics!! I'm thinking of trying to do the same!
mitsugirly has links in alphabetical order in her signature. Click on the one that says "Half Moon Cay".

There was a "Meet the Captain" dealio before formal night when we sailed the Fantasy back in February.
And we got pics with the Captain when we did the Behind the Fun Tour.

Sounds like the 2 of you are in a stateroom that sleeps 3 or more. Carnival will bump you to another room if they have the amount of guests needing a room that's not booked to capacity. We are in a stateroom that sleeps 4 and there are only 3 of us. We know that since the room sleeps more people that what we have traveling with us, they can and will bump us if they need that room.
What room and ship are you in/on?
-
I did what Sammee did. We were in an OV and I noticed the balcony rates came down quite a bit while the OV stayed the same. I called and upgraded us for a good price. :D

She was our 1st. We were on the last sailing before dry dock in February. Had no issues what so ever. Did not seem crowded at all. Even though she's an old girl, we would not hesitate to sail her again.
-
Up at the top, each ship has a search link and everything posted about each ship goes into the respective search forum.
Here's a link for Liberty. There are a few reviews, just scroll down. :)

FTTF will get you on sooner.
May I suggest that if you picked an early time, go back in and choose a later time (even though FTTF will get you in sooner) because it will open up that time slot for someone else to possibly get on earlier.

Thank you for sharing. The Fantasy was our first. :)

Did you see lots of marine life I.e colorful fish and such while snorkeling in Freeport?
Yes, we did. We saw more marine life near the reef and less as you get away from it. We really were hoping to see a turtle as it's our daughter's favorite, but alas, we weren't lucky enough.
