Our journey schedule for our summer cruise on the Sky is providing a nice preview of the entertainment schedule, and I was surprised to see at least two of the production shows - Rock Opera and Spotlight Bar - scheduled for a 4 p.m. time, as well as 8 and 10 p.m.
I wonder if this is unique to Sky Princess, or if anyone has noticed this on other ships? I love that they are offering three shows which should help with crowding, but also really like the idea of having the option of going to a show before dinner. That hour is generally kind of down time for us - usually maybe hit trivia or go freshen up before dinner, so it’s nice to have the choice to see the show earlier and free up your after dinner time. DH won’t have to fret about not being there promptly to open up the craps table! 😁
Even though we have seen these shows, I always enjoy seeing them again and with different casts, so I welcome this added time option and hope to see it on other ships.
We are on Sky on June 1st for 14 nts, we have the same at 4 pm one each week.

Hopefully all onboard are ok , tracker is showing armed security onboard. Fingers crossed for everyone.
Don’t think it’s unusual for armed personnel onboard as it passes Yeman seas area , this has been the norm for a few years.

I believe this is happening in some other European countries as well, I’ve read that they want passengers off ships in port to encourage using bars , restaurants etc so they spend there euros in ports as though already stated some cruise lines have this priced in. I believe the USA has a tax too when in port or their waters on some ships as happens on land in bars etc. every state has a different tax rate.

That cruise has been on for a while now as it repositions between the Mediterranean to Asia

My direct line home policy includes worldwide insurance including cruises. Maybe your home insurer has an add on?
We had Direct Line for a few years but unfortunately when you reach 64 that free option is cancelled

Hi. We are finding the food good. Service a little slower as there are less staff but we have no complaints. Enjoying it.
I think you are on Sky with us in June? Looking forward to that.
Yes. Looking forward to it as well. Our first time with them. We have friends and relatives on Sky at present and say it’s wonderful
thanks for update

Hi Dronnygirl. How is the food and bar service on EX2 at present. Were on it Jan to Jamaica.

I may be wrong but thought TUI was a good price. £26 each against £28 on trip. ?
and can cancel with full refund -
We have the Lounge booked after the fiasco at Barbados airport earlier this year. Booked through TUI

Try using a different browser, ie. Safari , Google, Firefox ?

Have to agree with you, our Cuba cruise was cancelled in January with TUI giving us 24 hours notice. There compo is the pits and there not bothered and won’t listen to you.
I’m beginning to think there ships are getting past there sell by date but unfortunately weve booked for 3 Rd time to Cuba next January with last 2 cancelled..they say 3rd time lucky

We did this cruise in reverse (Dubai to India ) was a great cruise, Mumbai is easy either on your own or excursions as ship docks close. The excursion we did was well organised from laundry to main railway station to Mumbai hotel and Gate. Oman we did our own thing and definitely go to the souk which is an easy walk, many bargains and bartering.
remember your need visa for India .

Just a word of warning. KL is a fair way from port Klang but the bigger danger is the traffic. If you go diy make sure ur back in time for departure .

Totally agree with you Saint. Choose Arvia , you won’t be disappointed.
Although saying that we are going to try for a third time to get to Cuba with Marella as there places we have always wanted to get to. The last two bookings there were cancelled due to covid and then the ship breaking down last February.

We went on discovery 2 last year (inside cabin last minute for £630) followed by a far more expensive cruise in a suite on NCL epic. The Marella cruise won hands down. In terms of food it was the best we’ve had, the service, entertainment excellent and the people we met so so friendly. Contrast that with the food etc on Epic that’s was deplorable even in the speciality restaurants I mean virtually inedible . I keep looking at Marella again for this year but the prices have gone so high I’m finding it so much cheaper with P&O especially now they have introduced a drinks package, shame as we enjoyed ourselves so much last year
Thing is you don’t need a drink package. Is pub prices u pay here. And not watered down . But I agree Marella are getting too expensive over PO. We found that out in February on Arvia. So so much cheaper for Caribbean cruuse

We did discovery in February and found long ques at bars , Our balcony was filthy for two weeks you could write your name on the glass , issue on flight back and damaged case , still awaiting outcome and this cruise was not cheap , I booked P&O next cruise , we have done 30 plus with TUI and enjoy the atmosphere that celebrity , princess etc do not have , see what P&O are like .
We did PO Caribbean on Arvia in February after cancelled Marella cruise wit 24 hours notice. Was half the price and double the fun on PO.
Marella are out pricing there cruises compared to others.

we are in similar predicament , having sailed with marella a lot we have decided to have a change . recently returned from discovery in caribbean whilst docked up in Antigua p&o avia was beside us, all new and crew were cleaning it all down , you could write your name on our balcony glass . that ship worked out £1000 cheaper than ours . Sorry marella we have been loyal but your prices dont add up . We have booked p&o next winter flying direct from Newcastle with TUI chartered by P&O premium class with balcony for £1000 cheaper on a brand new ship . Only thing we dont get in are drinks but would never drink £1000 worth in 2 weeks
We were on Arvia 3 weeks ago and was along side Discovery in the Caribbean after our Marella cruise was cancelled day b4 departure. Booked PO and saved £1500 . As you say even paying for booze still lots cheaper and better cruise.
Oh , and better customer relations

Yes, not sure of exact numbers but around 80 people from Scotland and several times that from England/Wales are expecting whole refunds and appropriate compensation. TUI however have only offered us vouchers for £300 each! No way on earth would I ever use TUI again. We are considering legal representation.
Well so far we have had £100 each in comp as there have to pay in there small print and a £200 each voucher. After talking to them still not got any further. Keep us informed plz

I am one of the hundreds of people affected by the TUI Pride of Panama cruise cancellation. If you received a text around 24 January advising cancellation on 31st would you be willing to share your text or emails to support our claim please?
Wish we had got an email so early, we were told officially the day before cruise.
are you looking for more compensation as we have tried but to no avail yet

Hi Traz
we had the Js deck 12. Not many cabins up there. Try pick if possible the full balcony on starboard sides as in Caribbean port sides in dock not much of a view. Bed is positioned looking out of balcony. We think the Js on disco 1/2 not worth the extra on deck 8 where u may get an overhang.
just our views
half the balcony is in shade from above. U won’t be disappointed
